I am a fan of Quentin Tarantino's films (Pulp Fiction being my favourite) so it was an easy read. Not particularly insightful but worth giving it a go.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing an ARC for an honest review.
"Quentin Tarantino: A Graphic Biography" mirrors the non-linear storytelling of "Pulp Fiction," offering an engaging look into the filmmaker's life. It's a must-read for Tarantino fans, providing insights into his creative process. While the art style is simple, it effectively conveys the biography's essence. Overall, the book offers an accessible and informative journey through the life and work of Quentin Tarantino.
2.5/5
While I did like the idea and the drawings, I honestly hoped for more connection between the various episodes. It looked like it were taken a few "did you know?" stories and just assembled together as chapters to make a whole book.
I did expect something different and more biographic, less random and more connected and unfortunately this really wasn't the case.
This book is intended for middle grade readers, but I don't know if they would know him or be interested. The graphic biographic pictures/illustrations are spot on and perfect for the moves they represent, but only diehard fans will enjoy.
I think you have to be a- a big fan of Quentin Tarantino &/or b- a big fan of graphic biographies to enjoy this. I’m an ok fan of both & found it interesting but kinda different (kinda like most his movies so it fits). The illustrations were like characterizations of the people. You could definitely tell who they were but also not.

Interesting take on Quentin. Art is not really my cuppa tea but it is befitting for Tarantino as it has the edgy vibe to it.
More like a snippet of his life and career but enough to intrigue fans to want to find out more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a really fun graphic novel to read. The narrative style was unexpected, but helped make reading it more interesting. We see this tale unfold through some of the movies they have made over the years. Along the way, we learn more about this talented director. As this graphic novel comes to a close, it becomes apparent this director isn’t out of ideas yet.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
3.5 Stars.
Quentin Tarantino: A Graphic Biography is an entertaining graphic novel biography featuring snippets of Tarantinos' lives, work, and movies. This has made me want to read a full biography of him now to delve deeper into his career, his movies, and his life and creativity. The illustrations are befitting of Tarantinos style (movie wise) and although it was a quick read it was entertaining and interesting.
This was a crazy biography of the crazy genius himself. I love Tarantino movies, and this was just a blast of a reading experience.

NEW BOOK RELEASE ALERT!!!
This one was not what I expected and so much more than I could ask for!
I''m a cinema student, so when I saw the opportunity to read the new Quentin Tarantino biography (bonus point for it being a graphic novel) I was immediately hooked and ready to throw myself into the life of one of Hollywood's most incredible cinematographers. I haven't watched a lot of Quentin movies (criminal!) but the one's I did were an absolute mixture of everything you search for in a fun, crazy and somewhat gore-y experience. And reading this book just opened my eyes even more to the world of "Written and Directed by Quentin Tarantino".
In terms of writing, storyline and the illustrations, everything was amazing. The storyline was a dream for any Pulp Fiction fan (such as myself) for the way it goes back and forth like you hoped it would. The illustrations were so good, giving a comic book vibe to Quentin's life and his stories. And the writing was funny and a learned quite a lot from it.
Honestly, just read this as I am sure any cinema fan will love it.

The perfect medium to tell this filmmaker's life story! Engaging, vivid, and a great bit of fun! I especially loved the parts on his childhood and that the art style connects well to the visual style of his films.
I have also read the graphic biography about Andy Warhol and thought that was a really nice way to learn more about these famous people. When reading this book I discovered I actually haven’t seen that many movies made by Tarantino, however I did see some. It was nice to read about how Tarantino came to the ideas of his movies. I also thought it was cool how the author included famous friends like Pitt, DiCaprio and Thurman in the book. All in all, this was a great way to learn more about the creative soul that is Quentin Tarantino!
I liked the art style of this graphic novel a lot, but it felt almost too disjointed to be able to enjoy fully. At the beginning, it mentioned that the chapters were not in chronological order, but I think the story could have benefited from being in chronological order. I feel like we didn't really learn that much about Quentin's childhood, either, when that might have been a storyline that could have had more details included and made the story more well-rounded.
This book was interesting if you like Quentin Tarantino but only give surface level information about him. We have more information about his movies than really him but it was still entertaining and really easy to read. Moreover the graphics were lovely and the colors used really give the mood of the scene.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC
If you are a fan of Quentin Tarantino, this graphic novel is definitely for you. Personally, I like some of his movies but I don't consider myself a fan. However, the graphic novel is interesting with details about his life before delving into the director who he is now.
The drawing art for this novel is fine, but it is not memorable or so I believe.
Thank u NetGalley and the publisher.
A fantastic linking of film and comics. I enjoyed this visual take on Quentin Tarantino's history in creativity and cinema, and I love what it shows both in terms of fandom and in terms of what comics can do.

This was a very brief, surface level biography of Quentin Tarantino. If you’re just looking for the basics in a quick and fun way, then this is a sure bet. It was easy to read and I thought the dialogue was entertaining.
Quentin Tarantino is an iconic movie director and media personality; his films are known for their originality and style, while many are segmented into chapters and often presented in unique and disorienting ways. For this graphic biography, a similar attempt has been made to present Tarantino's life in the cut-and-paste out of synch style that his works are known for. Stylistically, this is a fine book, but there's no real depth to the biography side of things; a mixture of peculiarly represented famous faces alongside choppy text that don't quite keep you enthralled. The ambition is there with this piece, and it deserves to be looked at, but it just feels like a shame that the style seemed to overrule the substance (though, some may argue that that is very Tarantino-esque in itself).
This was an interesting look into the life of Tarantino. A huge fan of some of his movies I never knew much about the director himself or really cared to. This was a unique look into his life and I don’t think I need to read anything else about him again as this was enough for me. A fan of his movies, but not sure I’m much of a fan of the person.
A quick read but fantastically entertining! If you like Tarantino films, you will enjoy how this book reflects the pace, style and energy behind Tarantino's work. Great fun and a fab read
