Quentin Tarantino: A Graphic Biography
by Michele Botton
My husband made me watch pretty much every Tarantino film existing. Some I even enjoyed a lot. So I thought, why not requesting this book and giving it a try.
This year I wanted to read - at least a bit- out of my comfort zone. Graphic novels are pretty much out of my comfort zone. Very much so.
The drawings were not really my style, but I found them fitting for Tarantino. It’s like out of one of his movies. They were really basic and kind of clunky. Dark colors and not much fun. I don’t know why I wanted fun, but I didn’t get any.
The bits about his childhood were the best part, but yeah, it was fine.
This is maybe so my erging for due hard fans, for me, not so much.
For someone who knows owns basically nothing about Tarantino, I felt like a fish out of water. I got. Whole lot of context but. It much explanations.

Definitely a fun quick read for fans of Tarantino. The art is bold and covers some of the highlights of his career and movie idea. I don't necessarily think this is for people who know nothing about the director but more so a collectable for die hard fans. I personally wanted a bit more/a deeper exploration but that's subjective.
