I loved this story. I was worried it was going to feel anxiety provoking considering all three sisters have their own stuff going on but I actually felt the book was insanely comforting. Hated the mother aspect I really didn't find it was necessary.

Filled with family drama, Lovers and Liars is a fun story of three sisters as they meet at the beautiful Mumberton Castle for one of the sisters weddings. Sylvie is marrying Simon at his family estate in England. This will be the first time she has spent time with her two sisters since her first husband died. The three come into the weekend with a lot of baggage and quite a few secrets. Growing up the three were each others support against their toxic mother. Childhood trauma has affected them all differently and they have never gotten past the roles they assumed as children. The chapters are short and we alternate between the three sisters stories both in the past and in the present. Simon and his family added another layer to the madness of the weekend. I enjoyed the book all the way through and the ending was delightful
Thank you for the advanced copy to the publisher and NetGalley.

I really liked the three sisters in this book. It was short, quick, and cute. It was an easy no brain power kind of read. It gives me would be good to read on a beach vibe. It isn't the kind of book I will probably ever think of again BUT I enjoyed it while reading a lot.

I loved this book - the characters were great, the plot was interesting, and it was so well written. One thing I enjoy about books with multiple main characters is when the viewpoint changes with each chapter, and this book not only did that but each chapter was bite sized. This kept the pace of the book moving and readers engaged.
Amanda Eyre Ward seamlessly melded the redemption and healing arcs in a way that felt real. The Peacock sisters, Chloe, Emma, and Sylvie, had real flaws that were relatable. They are the type of flaws that we see in ourselves and it was amazing to see the sisters come full circle. The path there wasn't easy, but the view at the end was worth the trials and tribulations.
Bonus was that some of the book was set in Montana. It was nice seeing a novel set home state (plus New York, Miami, and England).
This was my first book from this author and I have added her others to my TBD list.

2.5 stars rounded up. The book is from the POV of three sisters (Sylvie, Cleo, and Emma) who reunite for Sylvie's destination wedding at an English castle. The sisters relationship is fractured and they each are dealing with their own demons.. And Sylvie's fiance may be too good to be true. I felt like the book was a but of a slog, and I didn't connect with any of the sisters. Thank you Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC for my honest review.

Such a fun book! I loved the setting (what can beat an English castle!) and the way the story was told from all three sisters points of view. The secrets and lies between the sisters and their significant others are more entertaining-certainly not the type of book to keep you up at night! Overall, this was a great read and I look forward to reading more by this author.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Thought I couldn't really relate to these characters, I did find them very entertaining and this was a quick read. I wanted to know if there would be a happy ending and I wanted to see how things would turn out for these wild sisters. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.
This was a cute story, I enjoyed reading a book about three sisters and the bond they have. I thought that the characters were unique and well-written. Overall, the story was enjoyable. While it wasn't my favorite book of 2024, it was still an enjoyable book. I would definitely read another book by Amanda Eyre Ward in the future!

I LOVED this book! The perspective of each sister, the secrets each kept, their relationships with each other and their mother, the fairytale castle, what’s not to love?!!

This was fun! Great writing about family and well written characters. Definitely recommend!
Thank you NetGalley and Amanda Eyre Ward!

This was a fun book with a great setting. The narration varies between the three sisters who all have their own issues. The castle setting was wonderful! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

3.5 stars - i enjoyed this one! i loved the different POV's from each of the sisters. thanks netgalley & the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was honestly a little surprised at how much I loved this book! I enjoyed the perspectives of each of the three sisters as well as the setting and secondary characters. A super quick read with a lot of heart and laughs!

I needed a light read and this definitely fit the bill, even with some moments of sadness. Ms Ward maintained tension and surprised me with the twists and turns of the story. I loved each sister in turn; they were fully realized characters and I rooted for each to find her unique happily ever after. Enjoyed very much !

I couldn’t put this book down. What an interesting tale of family drama. I really enjoyed getting the three sisters perspective. Nice little twists.

I really wanted to like this book more as I love books about sisters but I found this set of sisters kind of annoying.
All of the mis and non communication just didn’t ring true for me and was very frustrating on some levels. I would have loved more of the English castle and setting there and deep dive into that

Thank you Netgalley for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have enjoyed reading all of Amanda's novels and this one was just as good. The family dynamic was sweet and realistic. I loved the different storylines and points of view told from the three sisters (with a sweet epilogue included). I also really, really liked how the story was split up into different parts. I was looking forward to reading about each section. There were all kinds of emotions reading this, and it was a very quick read while maintaining good development. This was a solid 3.5 stars for me, I really enjoyed it!

I'd like to thank the publishers for this eARC on NetGalley to provide my honest opinion and for review.
I'm giving this book a 3.5. I'd say that I liked this book, but I found my mind wandering and thinking of other books whilst reading this one. There seemed to be a *ton* of details, that I found myself skimming in order to get to another plot point, which is why I'm not giving this book a 4 star rating.
This book follows three sisters before the wedding of the youngest, Sylvie. Each sister is working through their own secrets that they're keeping from each other, and those they subsequently love. Sylvie sees her dead husband's ghost, through rose colored glasses; Emma is incredibly deep in debt; and Cleo doesn't love her perfect boyfriend. All of these secrets come to head on the eve of Sylvie's wedding to Simon.
While the three sisters love each other deeply, they all share trauma from their childhood while being "raised" by their narcissistic mother, which shows itself in different ways.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I hate leaving negative reviews (blame the people pleaser in me) but this is one book I probably should have DNF’d. The book is a quick read but it felt lacking any real substance. It missed the mark with the sister relationships and rather than building empathy for their challenges I felt annoyed with their immaturity. It felt like the author wasn’t sure what type of book she wanted to write, is it a family drama, is it a comedy, is it a steamy romance? I couldn’t tell you what her intent was but this one really missed the mark.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion! As someone who suffered a lot of childhood trauma, I loved the way the author detailed the different way people cope with this by using the three sisters as an example. This novel being part romance/suspense/thriller/comedy was amazing and the ending honestly left me with chills. I also absolutely adore novels that are written with multiple points of view, seeing the same situation through different sets of eyes is so fun and informative. Thank you to the author for showing a realistic view of what a dysfunctional, albeit loving, family looks like!
