A great book for children and families about thankfulness!
This book would be great for any time of the year, not just Thanksgiving! I really enjoyed the flow and the ideas that were shared about gratitude in each area of life. This was a heartwarming read I would be glad to share with the kids I work with.
Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.
We love Elmo in our house! A great book that shows how to be thankful in big and small ways. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite Holidays and I will be purchasing this book to read aloud with my children.
We love Elmo! This is a great message for children. It encourages them to be thankful for everything in their life. Big and Small.. I will definitely be recommending this one.
I adore Sesame Street and the way that they are able to connect with kids to share messages of community, connection, and in the case of Elmo Gives Thanks, gratitude. This book is a great replacement for what we traditionally see during Thanksgiving, focusing on all the ways big and small that we can be thankful for the world and our friends in it. Can’t wait to share this with my kiddo when she’s a bit older! Thanks to NetGalley for an early review copy, all opinions are my own.
This is a wonderful book filled with our favorite Sesame Street characters and great messages of thankfulness and gratitude. The illustrations are captivating and the word to picture ratio is done very well.
This is one my toddler has asked for over and over again!
Is an Elmo book ever not great? This one is a fantastic reminder that we should be grateful and give thanks. I like that not only is the book about Elmo but also all of his Sesame Street friends being grateful together. Ending with being thankful for everyone and things around them.
Bright and fun illustrations to bring the words to live. I will be buying the hard copy of this book for my nephew once it comes out.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC.
What a wonderful read! I know this is geared towards thanksgiving and fall, but this is just a great book in general to teach little ones year round about being thankful. This book flows very well to be a great read for little one especially with its rhymes.
It’s so fun to see new generations knowing and enjoying Sesame Street. This book is full of colorful pictures and great ideas of being thankful for what we have. What a great book to read for Thanksgiving
Based on the cover and title of this book I would have thought it would have been a book to read in the fall time but it’s not. The story mentions how much we have to be thankful for year round, including all the seasons. The story is told in rhymes and has gorgeous illustrations to keep your child entertained while you read. The illustrations are detailed and give plenty of opportunities for conversations while reading.
I was so happy to see this book. Thanksgiving books can be the holiday book category that falls through the cracks. This one is fun and has Elmo and all his Sesame Street friends. The illustrations are bright and fun. I read it to my daughter, and she enjoyed that the images. It was a bit long for a one-year-old. I would recommend it for ages three and up. It's simple and fun and full of good lessons about giving and being kind.
Thank you, Sourcebooks for the advanced reader's copy.
I think just about every little LOVES Elmo. I know mine does. This was such a cute book full of all the favorite Sesame Street characters. What better way to show a child what all they have to be thankful for than with their favorite characters. Your little will want to read this many times. Great book for a Thanksgiving gift or gathering to be read amongst the children.
Always loved reading Elmo stories to my kids when they were little. Very colorful and bright pages along with wonderful characters that always gives kids a meaningful message. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review.
We road tripped to Florida for spring break and I was so happy I had been approved for sixteen new children’s books coming out this year. It helped so much to break up some time with stories! The kids loved them and had so much fun picking out a book from my netgalley app to read. We didn’t read a single book we didn’t like! Tuckers favorite was Elmo’s new book, Kinley loved the fairy godmother book, Dawsyn loved the basketball one, and Briggs adored the animal book. I highly suggest adding all of these to your summer library reading lists for kids. I love children’s books, and these were full of beautiful illustrations, stories, and allowed us to have some great conversations after them. My grandson loved it, the only problem is he wants it to be Thanksgiving in April, he adores Elmo amd he loved the book we have read it multiple times already, great for a holiday that sometimes gets forgotten for the one before (Halloween) and after (Christmas)
ELMO GIVES THANKS is a picture book geared towards Fall and Thanksgiving, but it definitely should have a place year-round in the lives of your children, students, daycare, grandchildren. The story provides so many opportunities to teach about being thankful and to give the listeners the opportunity to share what they are thankful for. The illustrations and rhyming text will keep the children engaged and wanting to have it read aloud multiple times.
Thank you to Net Galley for this e-copy of Elmo Gives Thanks by Erin Guendelsberger in exchange for a honest review. This is a great book to teach preschoolers about gratitude for both the tangible and intangible. It is great to be thankful for material possessions but the intangibles like love , friendship , family and happiness are sometimes forgotten and this book explains them in a way preschoolers can understand.Great book for family reading!
My son loves Sesame Street, so I knew I had to read this book with him. The story has a great message for children. Being thankful for all the things in life, including things like food and flowers. It’s very sweet to be thankful for all the things, big or small. The illustrations are bright and colorful. If you know a kiddo who loves Sesame Street, then I highly recommend this book!
Another cute Sesame Street book!
My kids love seeing all of their favorite characters and I enjoyed the important lesson of being thankful. And it's not just Elmo, but all the puppets are in there!
Highly enjoyed, read more than once, and would be great around Thanksgiving.
