This is a collection of four short stories about four different kids who are leading very different lives. Each of them are offered three wishes without explanation or guidance. The wishes appear to come true, if not always in the way that the kids hoped for. This is a really interesting idea to consider the ramifications of a wish being fulfilled (unforeseen consequences) as well as the idea that there things individuals can do to make the things they hope for become a reality. This would be a great book to read as a book club.

This is a very sweet middle grade novel. Four strangers who all live in the same town are granted two wishes, which binds them together in unforeseen ways. Do they get what they wish for? Each story is endearing and keeps the reader guessing (with some surprises!).
