A charming and loveable story for early readers! Ideal for reluctant readers or young readers struggling with concepts of friendship and how to be a good friend to others.

The illustration style is adorable and it’s a perfect bridge book for kids transitioning from picture books to chapter books.

This is such a hard thing to review because I think the overall plot is something that kids need to be exposed to, but the execution did not work for me. I think that there are other stories that do a better job of teaching kids what being a good friend looks like. Unfortunately I just don't see me choosing this for our library.
