if you speak spanish, you'll enjoy this book for sure. :)

I've had Familia by Lauren E. Rico on my Kindle TBR for a while, and thanks to RB Media and NetGalley, I got early access to the audiobook—big thanks for that!

The book follows the story of two women tackling a cold case prompted by a DNA test. Gabby, living in New York, takes the test to uncover long-lost family connections, hoping for a cousin, but she gets more than expected—a 50% familial match, possibly a sibling.

Reaching out to Isabella in Puerto Rico, the story unfolds into a beautiful journey of family, blending the past and the present.

I highly recommend the audiobook; the narration is fantastic. The story is unique, and Rico skillfully incorporates Spanish quotes, adding a layer of richness to the narrative.

What a beautiful tribute to sisterhood and family! I felt transported to PR and enjoyed the descriptions and the native language the narrator spoke throughout. I enjoyed the sense of mystery through the story as Isabella and Gabby worked to solve what happened to Marianna!
