The Burgers and Bacon cookbook delivered on exactly what the titled states: Burgers and Bacon! What I loved is that this had chapters upon chapters about how best to enhances burgers and bacon. Sauces, toppings, homemade buns, and more! I appreciated that this book delivered recipes for different skill levels and ranged from simple to complex. Additionally, I appreciated the accompanying photos which are always appreciated, especially in a cookbook!
I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
This is for sure a cookbook around a food championships. The pictures look amazing and made me drool! I don't know if I could recreate the burgers or the bacon dishes but it would be fun to try. I like that all the different sauces, jams, relishes, etc. are listed in the beginning so you can create something new. An interesting cookbook!
This is a really neat cookbook! The recipes I'm most excited to try are the Bo Bear Bacon Cheeseburger, BLT Cupcake and the Chocolate Piggy Candied Bacon S'Mores! The recipes are easy to follow and seem to be relatively simple. I would recommend this! Special Thank You to Fox Chapel Publishing, World Food Championships and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
What could be more American than burgers and bacon. This amazing book is filled with eye popping, mouth watering scrumptious recipes. Every recipe page has ingredients, with possible substitutes and one of my most favorite parts, how to assemble. Not only does Burgers and Bacon have burger recipes, it also has recipes for yummy sauces, jams , desserts, vegetarian and internationally inspired from around the globe. As this is an All Star Cuisine contest inspired book, the home cook will be introduced to the cooks that lay claim to these wonderful recipes. Did I mention the photography is gorgeous? It will make you want to run to the store to pick up all the ingredients for your next specialty burger. My only suggestion would be smell a vision. I hope we are close to that in the technical world.
If I had to change anything about this sweet book, It would be interviews and rules to the contest in the back. I just wanted to get to the recipe part of the book.
Thanks to #FoxChapelPublishing #NetGalley for allowing me to preview this devine book
Mmm. Burgers & Bacon. Just the thought of it makes many people swoon. But the book isn't all about burgers, but what makes them extra special. Entire chapters on Aiolis, Cheese Sauces, Chutneys, Homemade Bun & Bases, Soups and Sides, Sauces ,Spreads, Special Toppings, Homemade Seasonings and Mariades, and Sweet Treats, Sauces and Creams, and Jams (like bacon jams!!). Just reading the Table of Contents made my mouth water. There are lots of photos of the competition and bios with photos of the chefs in the competition.
Beautiful photos of the entries and the descriptions of the complete burgers. The recipes include making all the special components. For example, the Chunky Guacamole Cheeseburger with Candied Bacon takes 45 minutes to prep, 15 minutes to cook and serves 5. It includes the info on the burger and buns, the recipe for the Avocado Aoli, recipe for Chunky Guacamole, and Candied bacon. Of course there are detailed recipes for cooking, and constructing.
Another one that caught my eye was the Country Fried Thanksgiving Impossible Burger.
Not all the recipes are for beef burgers, and not all are actually what you might think of as a burger.
And Desserts - How about Bacon Banana Split Bread Pudding?
This is a great book to get ideas and recipes for the out of the ordinary burgers to thrill your family and amaze your guests.
This cookbook shares some of the most delicious looking hamburgers you have ever seen. Not only do they look good but they are award winning burgers as well. These burgers all were created for the World Food Championships. I didn't know this was a thing until I checked out this book. These look complicated with several steps but if I can make mine look like these it will be well worth it. These Burgers are piled high with goodness. There are mile high meat patties topped with beautiful melted cheese of various kinds, some have bacon jam or eggs, onions both raw and cooked, homemade pickles, all kinds of sauces dripping down the sides, onion straws, and guac. I wish this book had scratch and sniff. They give you recipes for all the sauces, bacon jams, and onions straws. The buns are delightful. Not your simple plain buns. Check out these burgers before your next backyard cookout.
Mouthwatering was the first word that came to mind as I looked through the recipes in Burgers & Bacon. Not only do they look delicious, but they also would be easy to follow for all culinary skill levels. I can't wait to try many of them and make use of the reference chart in the front. I feel like that was a great addition to be able to quickly look through and build your own burger without having to flip through all of the pages and recipes.
I do think the cookbook as a whole seems a bit outdated compared to what we see on the shelves these days. However that doesn't take away from the cookbook in any way because it is full of so may great recipes from various chefs.
Feel free follow my social media accounts, I will be sharing my review of this book prior to the publishing date.

Thank you Netgalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Loved all of the recipes featured in this new cookbook! Really great photos and tips also! Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review.
Very informative and interesting book. I highly write recommend it. Very educational. Very enjoyable
I received a free ebook copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.
Ok the concept of this book is awesome and the photographs are amazing, but it’s just not practical for most home cooks. Am I going to make pecan and popcorn buns? No, likely not. Am I going to use 3 lbs of ground Wagyu beef for one recipe? Neh. However, it’s not a total loss, because there are great sauces, pickling ideas, and burger building ideas in here. Lots of interesting toppings and recommendations make this a really neat and unique book that is a great jumping off point for burger fiends!
We love a new cookbook for the family to try and were so excited to be chosen by NetGalley to receive Burgers & Bacon Cookbook as an ebook ARC. What a great book. This book is absolutely packed with recipes from the World Food Championships from professional teams as well as home chefs and aspiring chefs. The book includes a wonderful reference chart to pair recipes with sides, aiolis and more. I loved the special toppings and the section on sweet treats, sauces and creams. The recipes are so detailed for everything you need including family sizes and alternative ingredients which helped make the combinations easier for us at home, and affordable for our budget. They include description and all the ingredients and directions you could possibly need. With vibrant pictures that will leave your mouth watering you will want to try them all. There are over 300 recipes to choose from. I found some favorites already including the Back with a Vengeance burger, A Sicilian Garden and the BLT Cupcake. You're going to love all the variety and flexibility the recipes offer. Enjoy as a family and share with friends. Will make your next BBQ and get together so exciting. Enjoy!
Interesting cookbook of recipes from the World Food Championships of burgers and Bacon. The book is in those 2 sections, but there is an additional Recipe Reference Chart that has page numbers and titles for components of the recipes: Aiolis; Chutneys; Cheese Sauces; Homemade Buns & Bases; Soups & Sides; Sauces; Spreads; Special Toppings; Homemade Dressings, Seasonings, and Marinades; Sweet Treats, Sauces, and Creams; and Jams.
Each recipe has a color photo.
The book has info about the competition, lots of pictures from it, interviews with some chefs, the rules, and profiles on each includes chef. The recipes show the chef's photo and available info about them.
This would be a good book for those who are interested in this competition or who are really in to burgers and/or bacon and creative ways to cook them. Because these are food competition recipes, I don't know that most home cooks would recreate enough things in here as full recipes but might enjoy the components more.
Must love bacon...
A very comprehensive book on grilling, burgers and bacon.
I especially enjoyed the Bacon Bliss Pizza and the Udon (never thought to try Udon and bacon before).
I don't normally grill or prepare burgers, but I do like a thin, crispy bacon and this book delivers on the bacon.
What could be better than award winning burgers? Award winning burgers with bacon. Burgers & Bacon Cookbook: Over 250 World's Best Burger, Sauces, Relishes, & Bun Recipes Recreate Delicious Dishes from World Food Championships Winning Chefs is a cookbook put together by The Worl Food Championships, and the result is absolutely mouthwatering. The book is full of not only burgers, but sauces, condiments, and toppings for the luscious burgers. There is something in this book for everyone, including vegetarians.
The recipes are presented in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions. While there are recipes that take several steps to complete, the individual recipes are easy to follow for anyone, from beginning cooks to advanced. Some of the burgers even have special recipes for the buns (I adapt the dough recipes to my automatic bread machine on the dough setting, which saves time). There is also a section of this cookbook on bacon; many of the recipes are very unique and present new ways to use the bacon.
Each recipe is accompanied by a beautiful, professional photograph, which makes it difficult to decide which to make next.
All told, anyone who loves burgers and/or bacon, will love this cookbook and want to add it to their recipe collection. This one is fun.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

“Burgers & Bacon Cookbook—Over 300 World's Best Burger, Sauces, Relishes & Bun Recipes,” by World Food Championships is a full-color compendium of award winning recipes for backyard favorites featuring flavors from mild to wild, spicy and sweet, and gourmet fare to everyday basics.

Some of the yummy burger blends star chefs feature in this cookbook include Wagu beef, ground brisket, and of course bacon, bacon, bacon. Readers will also find multiple variations on aioli, bacon jams, cheese dips, guacamole, soups, and desserts.
I’m a jalapeño popper fan, and must absolutely rave about a twist on this theme, a recipe for “Texas Twinkies.” Don’t you just adore the name. In this bacon-wrapped cream cheese stuffed pepper delight, savory spices and cooked ground beef kick the flavors into a junk food junky’s stratosphere of delectable delights. Yum, yum, yum.
In addition to loads of recipes to enhance your good ‘ol homestyle grilling experiences, for readers who have a special recipe that they think can wow the World of Food Championship, instructions for competition entry is included.
JoyReaderGirl1 graciously thanks NetGalley, the World Food Championships, and Fox Chapel Publishing, for this advanced reader’s copy (ARC) for review.
This is a fun and creative book. Interesting to learn about the World Food Championships and some of the participating chefs. The recipes are creative and delicious are accompanied by wonderful photographs. The recipes go from simple (quick to prepare) to more complex that will require a bit more time in the kitchen and may need some items you may not have in your pantry. Soups, sides, deserts and so may bacon recipes, most of which I want to try and more. The bacon bread pudding was a huge hit. I made a a few sauces and used on chicken cutlets and a chicken burger and they were delightful. I enjoyed the book, but for the most part these are recipes I’d be more likely to use for when I am entertaining as the bulk are more time consuming than I would prefer after a long day at work. Then again, I already have quite a few earmarked to make. This would be a lovely addition to anyones collection and would also make a wonderful gift.
4 tasty stars!
Recipes are easy to follow and ingredients are easy to source. Pictures are beautiful.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
What an absolutely beautiful book. The photographs include are so incredibly clear. I may not be able to make some of the burgers because they're a mouthful, but the many varied sauces look mighty tempting. This is definitely a great book for larger families. The many varied ways of making and using bacon is another great feature of this cookbook. I would love to see some additional books from that competition!
Warning! Do not read or even look at this book if you are hungry! There is something for everyone in this book. Even meatless burgers! The recipes look daunting, but they are not. I almost did not request the advance read as I am not a bacon fan, but it is easy to leave it out. There is so much other deliciousness! And some things you probably have never even thought of. Enjoy! I thank NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for my future eating!
Absolutely beautiful photos of the recipes. None of the recipes seemed overly complicated.
A few recipes I’m pretty sure I’ll make. Two of my fav things burgers and bacon!
