I was given access to this arc to read thanks to NetGalley. A fun romance. Great read. Would read more by this author.

This wasn’t bad. A super quick read. I felt like the stalker plot was super easy to see coming and a little far fetched; it kind of took me out of the rest of the book. The romance was fine but it was weird that everyone seemed pretty quick to not care about the age gap (although not huge) or boss/employee relationship. The kids dialogue also felt a bit mature for how young they were. But overall it was a fun light read and I may still read the others in the series.

This was a new to me author, and it won't be the last time I read something by her.
It is a sweet love story and it has some great characters in a cosy small town.
My only problem was that almost everyone in the story was described as very handsome or pretty and that was sometimes a bit to much.

This one was small-town romance, grumpy/sunshine, single-dad, nanny, cowboys. It was sinfully written with a bit of a twist in the plot. Remington and Erin were swooney and lots of fun banter.

I loved the narrator on this one. The whole story flowed flawlessly. The. Characters were easily brought to life.

I liked the story line and thought it was good! I also liked the voice actors in the audio book and I thought it added more to the story with them reading it.

This audio was very well done and I love the way Kristen tells a story. I'll continue to read her stories and listen to the audiobooks.

This was really cute! We love a single dad small town romance *heart eyes*.

The narration was great!

Erin has moved to the small town of Bitteroot Valley to get away from big city life and her loud family. She is starting to get settled with everything when her car breaks down. Refusing to take money from her parents, she finds herself helping Remington, the hot single dad who's been coming by the cafe she works at, with his kids as he takes over his family's large farm. Although Remington is hesitant to start anything with his younger, hot nanny, their sparks are something they can't fight. Eventually, Erin's past slowly catches up with her and it'll take time and strength to see if her love with Remington can withhold it.

This book was good if not a little dramatic. I do love a smalltown vibe with someone's crazy past popping back up but it wasn't too dramatic that it wasn't believable. I had a nice time and this is one of the books I'd be interested in reading the whole series.

The narrators were great too! A 3.5 all around.

The rollercoaster of emotions I went through while reading this book is unexplainable. I can’t explain it but this story just felt so real to me. I had been looking for more books about stalkers and this one checked all the boxes. It’s almost like the whole book sucked you in from the first page up until the last. I would be giggling and kicking my feet one minute, scared the next, then I would be crying, only to be gasping the next minute. Right off the bat i knew who the stalker was and I was flipping out every time he was mentioned. As if the characters were going to hear me screaming at them like “it’s him, this is the bad guy, someone look at him.” I felt like i was going insane for a minute. I loved Remington, he is going to be on my book boyfriend list starting now. He and Erin both are so good for each other, I truly cannot name a better couple. His kiddos, don’t even get me started, they took me back to my nanny days. Those were some of the best days for me. I will reread this at least once or twice a year.

This was really good! Exactly what I expect from this author after reading her books for so long. She is very consistent with how good her stories and characters are. The narrators on this audiobook are ones I have enjoyed before with other authors. They are very good!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

Sweet romance, horses, a small town setting, found family + cowboys? Yes please🫶🏽 The single dad + nanny tropes are two of my favourites, and this plus a dash of suspense made for the perfect plot. This was my first book by Proby and I can’t wait to read more from her!

Perspectives switch between grumpy cowboy Remington, who is hard working, protective and loyal to a fault, and his nanny: sweet, kind, bubbly Erin. The connection between them, although it felt on the insta-love side sometimes, was authentic + heartwarming. Remington was just the right amount of possessive + the banter between them was perfectly done.

The cosy small town vibes were immaculate, the secondary characters flawlessly curated and the kids, Jonny + Holly were adorable, and reminded me of the two super sweet kids I au-paired for. I liked the added suspense element, which gave the plot a little more depth (and allowed Remington’s protective side to come out🤭).

The writing style was relaxed and the audio was brilliantly narrated by Sebastian York + Emma Wilder, making this a super speedy, fun listen + a dreamy escape from reality.

Hands down favorite Kristen Proby book yet! I had to buy the physical book as a shelf trophy after listening. And the cover is gorgeous. I just fell in love with the story and the narrators were a huge part in that. I felt connected and part of their world. I want more from this series.

I should preface this review by saying I adore Kristen Proby and all of her With Me In Seattle books, plus their spinoffs, of which this is the latest. So it was a given for me to read this (or listen, in this case).
I am giving this book 3.5 stars.
I enjoyed the new setting of a ranch / small town in Montana. I wanted to go there immediately, and the descriptions were well-done. Given the small-town setting, there is quite a cast of characters including all of MC Remington's family, MC Erin's landlord, the local mechanic and flower shop owner, etc. They were mostly likeable, but I did wonder at times when the author or editing team last spoke to young kids. I felt like a lot of the scenes with Remington's two elementary-school- aged kids seemed unrealistic with how they spoke and acted.

I appreciated that this book had a conversation surrounding the age gap between the MCs, and that there was no third act breakup. However, the romantic suspense element brought in during the latter half of the book made me roll my eyes a bit. It was just so obvious who the "bad guy" was and everyone bumbled around for chapter after chapter not seeing it.

As with all of Proby's books, this story had just the right balance of sweet and spice. The grumpy/ sunshine and age-gap tropes were well done. And who doesn't love a cowboy?! While this is not my favorite book by the author, I was glad to have a more realistic female MC than in some of her other recent books. The audiobook narrators were both wonderful, and I would listen to them again. I will definitely read the next book in the series!

While I thought the romance was a little bland and the plot twist was very predictable, I really enjoyed the backdrop of a ranch in Montana, the single dad trope and the stalker plot.

*Warning this might be more of a book rant than review. And will have spoilers. You’ve been warned.. Continue at your own risk..
Sometimes you read a book and you just want to tear it apart. This was that book for me. I don’t know if it’s just where I’m at in my life, but I did not vibe with this story or the characters. The only things I liked was: that it was in Montana, (I love that state) it mentions huckleberries, (I love huckleberries) and the line “He’s got a thing for Summer. The person not the season.” I chuckled once.
Otherwise everything else lacked. The way the author did Rem’s late wife dirty. I did not like how that was handled. MMC is a single dad, FMC is a barista turned into his nanny. The romance felt surface level. They did not have any angst or tension. They just started having sexy time. Sexy time was also very shallow and I could have done without. Oh btw, I don’t know if this is a spoiler but just in case, SPOILER WARNING! The FMC is freaking loaded, but wants to “make her own way in life”. I was like oh, grow up. *rolls eyes in lower middle class* Like we’re talking millions upon millions. But being rich makes her uncomfortable (apparently she’s the only one) so she moves states away to a small town and lives modestly at the age of 25. Meanwhile she has a stalker. Sigh. The stalker aspect I felt was treated like a joke. She had a social media stalker that went to jail. So she doesn’t like social media. BUT her family and friends pressure her to download it again (knowing she has a stalker behind bars.. at the time) cause she’s “missing out” on seeing what everyone’s doing. She makes a new social media, PUTS HER NAME AS “barista_BigSky” (I had the audiobook so I’m not sure the specifics) which is her job title and the state she moved to.. 🧐 She adds all her family and friends and likes and comments on their posts… sigh. She’s gets DM’s but just assumes they look like spam and deletes them without opening them!? Like come on. Meanwhile the stalker is in prison learning how to HACK ON COMPUTERS?? Apparently the prison just lets the stalker inmates have access to social media. I rolled my eyes so hard. Oh and this is a nanny single dad trope. I just hate when the nanny has a stalker in books cause I feel like it’s very selfish putting innocent kids at risk. It makes me not like the FMC. Not to mention this FMC made a lot of immature decisions. It makes them unlikeable to me. The ending. Ugh. I’m not gonna spoil anymore but this book and me just did not click. And that’s ok. The writing wasn’t bad.

Let me start by saying that the narrators did a fantastic job. If it wasn't for them I would have DNF'd it. So there was no chemistry between the characters. This might be because there weren't any romantic scenes. Everything was glossed over. There was a lot of talking but nothing moved the romance. Also, what happened to his wife was handled very poorly.

This is my first Kristen Proby novel, and it won't be my last. If you're looking for a small-town, grumpy/sunshine, single-dad, bit of an age gap, wholesome romance with a hint of spice (they have excellent chemistry, some explicit scenes but the book is definitely more about the plot!) and a bit of suspense (stalker), this novel is for you. The narrators did a fantastic job, I'd absolutely recommend it as an audiobook (I listen at 1.75x). I look forward to revisiting these characters in following books in the series.

This was my first Kristen Proby - I love her writing style and her portrayal of the beauty of Montana. Remington Wild has the makings of a great book boyfriend. He’s a protective, responsible family-man who finally finds chemistry with a woman. That woman just happens to be over ten years his junior and his new nanny. Erin Montgomery found herself longing for the simple life of small town Montana. She’s not afraid of the obvious attraction to her older boss. While I adore these characters, their attraction and jump into romance felt too quick. The anticipation/angst factor was missing. But they’re arguably perfect for each other which made for a sweet romance. The hidden truths never rocked their attraction, but it left something to be desired when the drama/suspense unfolded. I definitely look forward to continuing this series with Chase Wild and Summer Quinn.

Narrated by Sebastian York & Emma Wilder. Emma Wilder is one of my favorite female narrators. Each character voice is distinct and adds texture and depth to the story. I am not the biggest fan of Sebastian’s narration of female/child characters. My preference in most dual-narrator performances is to have each voice their respective genders. The quality, tone, and pacing of the performance were all excellent.

"Wild for You" is an enjoyable grumpy/sunshine romance. Erin Montgomery has relocated to a small Montana town after having a traumatic experience with a stalker, who is now in prison. Remington Wild is content to manage his ranch and his family and isn't interested in pursuing new relationships. Yet when their paths cross, their reaction is magnetic. And over time, they each begin to see behind the other's facade and find so much to enjoy about the other.

If you enjoy small-town romances and wide-open spaces, this grumpy/sunshine romance is one you'll definitely want to check out.

Thank you to Kristen Proby, Dreamscape Select, and NetGalley for an advance review copy.
