I’m not sure if it was the small town setting or the nanny to the kids piece but something about this book just felt super wholesome. They had a sweet romance and he was truly her protector. I also loved that she was determined to live this new life on her own. Very cute.
🌀Synopsis
Erin is new in town and she’s starting to figure it all out. She loves her job at the coffee shop and enjoys spending time with the older gentleman that she rented her apartment from. She needs more income though and she finds that there are others in town that need help. Remington needs help caring for his two kids and that’s where Erin steps in. The two start to get to know each other and immediately find that there is something else there. They keep their relationship professional until they both finally come clean. Erin ends up moving in and the two begin to imagine a future together.
Everything is great until Erin’s old stalker from Seattle shows up. Now Remington will do anything to protect the woman he loves.
I loved diving into this audiobook, the start of a captivating Montana series. This audiobook wove an enchanting tale of Remington Wild, a burdened single dad, and Erin Montgomery, the spirited nanny who walks into his life. Their age-gap romance, set against the rustic backdrop of Wild River Ranch, was beautifully narrated by Sebastian York and Emma Wilder, whose voices added depth and emotion to the story. The mix of heartwarming family moments, sizzling chemistry, and a dash of suspense kept me hooked. Proby's storytelling, combined with the exceptional narration, made this a memorable listen. It's a perfect blend of romance, drama, and small-town charm that left me eagerly awaiting more from the Wilds of Montana series.
An enjoyable romance with some suspense and thrills in a gorgeous setting. A female lead with a hidden past. A wounded single dad. A cast of characters giving us the promise of more love love love! I enjoyed it.
“Wild For You,” book 1 in the Wilds of Montana series is a grumpy x sunshine, single dad with two extremely cute kids, nanny, age-gap romance. ⛰️
This is my first time I have read anything by this author and I will definitely be coming back for more! This whole book was full of romance and trying to solve a mystery from the past.
“Remington Wild is a single dad of two adorable kids, and as the oldest son of the Wild family, has recently taken over the Wild River Ranch from his father. Life is crazy, and he's finally willing to admit that he needs help, and the sooner the better. He has no idea that the beautiful woman he sees every day at Bitterroot Valley Coffee Co. is the woman who would show up for the job.
“Erin Montgomery couldn't get out of Seattle fast enough. It's not that she doesn't love her big, loud family, but living in the big city just wasn't for her. The minute she stepped foot in Bitterroot Valley, she knew she was home. She loves the slower pace, the friendly people, and her job at the coffee shop. Even the smoking hot grumpy guy who stops in every afternoon can't put a damper on how much she loves small town life!”
Writing: 4/5⭐️
-This writing reminds me of Lucy Score. I love the romance and hint of mystery mix in a book. The story flowed well and kept me entertained for sure. I just wish it was a little longer but that’s just me lol
Story/plot: 4/5⭐️
-I wish there was more of her backstory with the “blood-red roses guy” who was a big part of her life. other than that, loved the story!!!
Characters: 10/5 ⭐️
-omg Remingtons kids were so cute!!!!! ugh I could just squeeze them! They make this book even better!
Audio: 5/5⭐️
-These audio narrators are A+ the casting was 🤌🏼
Overall I would give this book a 4.5/5 but Goodreads doesn’t do half stars 🙃
“Wild For You” is available on Kindle Unlimited and amazon on January 30, 2024.
I loved the book and listening to it as an audiobook was a delight! Great voice actors too. This story is so sweet and romantic, Remi is one sexy cowboy and I am so glad he gets his chance at true love!
This audiobook was fantastic! I’ve been wanting to check out this author’s work for a while, and Wild for You has so many of my current favorite tropes. Remington is a grumpy single dad, who also runs his family’s ranch. Sign me up! Wild for You is the first book in the Wilds of Montana series.
Erin moved to Montana to get away from her former life in Seattle. She gets a job at a coffee shop, and falls in love with her new home. Financial troubles lead her to take on a second job as a nanny for Remington’s (her best friend’s brother) young children. In addition to her attraction to her new boss, some problems from her past life start showing up in Montana.
This book had great banter and chemistry! I also loved the mystery/suspense aspect of the plot. I definitely did not expect all that information about Erin’s past. Otherwise, the book was so cozy and heartwarming. I also loved seeing Remington’s resolve break because he tried pretty hard to stay away from Erin.
The story is told in dual narration. I really enjoyed both Sebastian York and Emma Wilder’s portrayal of these characters. I had never listened to Emma Wilder before and I thought she did a great job with all of the characters during her chapters. Sebastian York did great. I’ve enjoyed his books before and I especially appreciated when he would growl/whine the f word. It was delicious!
I loved this book so much, and I am so excited for the rest of the series!
This is the first book in The Wilds of Montana series. If you’re a fan of Kristen’s you’ll likely recognize some characters (hello Will & Meg😍) but if you’re new to her this is a great place to start!
Erin is new to Montana and such a ray of sunshine. Remington is a grumpy, single dad rancher and pretty much the opposite of Erin. When Erin becomes his nanny these two are drawn together. I loved watching their relationship develop and seeing Remington come out of his shell. His kids were adorable and I loved Erin’s relationship with them too. I also loved the suspense element in this! It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. The audio was phenomenal and the narrators were perfection, This was a great first in the series and I cannot wait to read and listen more!
🎧🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧🎧
Narration: Excellent job from both Sebastian York & Emma Wilder.
Now, about the story …
Honestly, I have no idea who wrote this story. My experience with this author is vastly different than what was delivered in this story.
Romance journey. Did that happen? Were there dates, get-to-know-you talks, sharing, caring, courting? Anything? I don’t recall. Well, I know there was no sharing because … *blink* (the story is still too new and I don’t want to spoil things but, seeeeeriously, the lack of realism was strong with this story.
I strongly dislike unrealistic fiction. There’s a serious circumstance happening in this story and the way it was handled was completely insulting. It was careless, thoughtless, and negligent. It’s a real life circumstance happening to hundreds of thousands of people on the daily and this blasé portrayal of it was beyond #twitchy.
So again, I don’t know who wrote this story, but it isn’t the author that I know. That’s it. That’s my review.

This author gets to the point and I appreciate it!!
The narrators were great with this book, definitely recommend the audiobook route with this book.
It was refreshing having the couple get together early on verse dragging it out. I can appreciate a slow burn but some couples need the whole book. 😂😉
Excited to read the second book.
I haven't read a Kristen Proby novel before but I am all in for Bitterroot Valley!
Erin and Rem's story was such a good story and a great way to kick off this series! We get to meet Rem's family and you can tell that there will be quite the stories about his siblings. Erin works with Rem's sister and when she finds out he needs help with his kids, she jumps at the chance to make some extra money.
Rem and Erin have instant chemistry. I fell in love with both of them. Rem's kids really steal the show in the story. Erin's connection with them is instant and you can just feel the love.
I loved the element of suspense in the story and couldn't listen fast enough. Sebastian York and Emma Wilder did a great job telling this story. Their voices captivated me and I didn't want a break! Great story and I can't wait for book 2!
It's a 4,5.
I listened to the audio for this one and I loved the narrators. I love having two voiced when we have dual POV, having both the female and male voices just adds to the story. I rate both narrators a 4/5.
The story itself was up my alley. I love a cowboy romance and especially one where the FMC doesn't mind getting her hands dirty. I wasn't a fan of the insta-love, it kind of made their relationship a bit too physical for my taste. But the family mystery from her side was what intrigued me most. I wish we had a bit more suspense with the secret that would eventually cause her danger (no I'm not going to say what it is, not spoiling it). I felt it sprang on us without having created that anxiety of someone lurking in the shadows. Not that there was none, I just wanted more.
"Wild for You" by Kristen Proby is a delightful foray into the heart of Montana with a romance that skillfully blends several beloved tropes: age-gap, single dad, nanny, and grumpy/sunshine dynamics. Proby crafts an engaging narrative with Remington Wild, a stressed single father who unexpectedly finds help and love in Erin Montgomery, the sunny and spirited nanny who enters his and his children's lives. Set against the idyllic backdrop of Bitterroot Valley, the novel not only explores the burgeoning romance between Remington and Erin but also delves into themes of family, belonging, and overcoming obstacles. The small-town setting adds charm and a sense of community that complements the personal growth and romantic development of the characters. Proby's writing is warm and inviting, making "Wild for You" a compelling read for anyone who enjoys a heartwarming romance with a dash of drama and a picturesque setting.
Remington & Erin
* Single Dad & Widow
* Grumpy / Sunshine
* Age gap ( 10 years)
Erin is the daughter of a famous football player and has a history with a stalker. She moves to small town Montana for a fresh start away from the city and in search for a simpler life while keeping her identity private. While she has a trust fund, she wants to leave it untouched and find her own way. She enjoys her small apartment and working in a coffee shop. When her co-workers brother needs a nanny she takes on that role as well.
Remington is a broody, overworked rancher and a widow with 2 young kids. He's also 10 years older than Erin. Told in dual POV, perfectly paced with a little suspense and no 3rd act break up. Throw in a couple cute kids and cute nicknames. I really likes they didn't rush the intimacy and they kept separate rooms once Erin moved in until they were ready to tell the kids. I thought it was handled with so much grace and intention. One of my favorite scenes involved his sweatshirt- iykyk. so swoony.
Overall, very excited to start this new series and read more about the side characters and family. I anticipate Remington's sister / Erin's coworker at the coffee shop will have the next book and with a forbidden boy - at least I hope so.
I received an advance copy of this book for free and am leaving an honest review voluntarily. Many thanks to the publisher and author for the opportunity to read and review. Reviews to be left on GR, amazon, tiktok.
I received an audiobook copy of this in exchange for my honest review.
Our FMC recently moved from Seattle to a small town in Montana, and has never felt more at home. She works at the local coffee shop until her best friend offers her a chance to help her brother out as a nanny for his two kids. Her brother, our MMC, just happens to be the grumpy guy who keeps coming in for coffee in the afternoon that is super hot. She takes on the nanny job and fits right into their family. Unfortunately things take a turn when her she receives a bouquet of roses at work, the exact same kind her former stalker used to send. How did he find her? Isn't he in jail still? Is she safe? Is the family safe?

Review:
Wild For You by Kristen Proby is a delightful small-town romance that takes place in the picturesque setting of Montana. The story revolves around Remington Wild, a single dad who has recently taken over the Wild River Ranch, and Erin Montgomery, a woman looking for a fresh start in the charming town of Bitterroot Valley.
What I loved most about this audiobook is the exceptional narration by Sebastian York and Emma Wilder. Sebastian's broody voice perfectly captures the essence of Remington, a mature and rugged rancher. Emma's portrayal of Erin is spot-on, and her ability to bring the children to life through her voice is truly remarkable and authentic.
The chemistry between Erin and Remington is palpable from the start, and I appreciated the author's decision to forego a slow burn and dive right into their relationship. The story moves at a fast pace, keeping listeners engaged throughout. However, I must admit that the twist in the plot felt somewhat anticlimactic, considering the quick development of the romance. Nonetheless, it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the book.
Kristen Proby has created a captivating small-town world filled with lovable characters and a heartwarming love story. The addition of an age-gap, single dad, nanny, grumpy/sunshine dynamic adds an extra layer of depth to the narrative, making it even more engaging.
For fans of small-town romances, Wild For You is a must-listen. The combination of a well-written story and the outstanding narration by Sebastian York and Emma Wilder elevates the audiobook to new heights. Whether you're looking for a feel-good romance or simply enjoy great performances, this audiobook is sure to satisfy.
This was amazing and exactly what i needed.
It was such an easy listen and kept me wanting more.
Remington was a single dad to two cute kiddies and Erin was the new to towner working in the coffee shop with his sister that also needed some extra money.
It was the perfect small town cowboy story that gave me all the fuzzys.
I can't wait to revisit this town and get the next book with Chase!!
100% Unputdownable. It has been a while since I have read a book in less than 24 hours, but Wild for You had me wild for Remington and Erin, so much so that I am going to have to binge Kristen's backlist., while I am waiting for Chasing Wild!
This was such a cute romance. I really loved the way their romance built so slow. I don't mind the age gap so much because it happened so seamlessly
I was able to get an ALC of Wild for You from NetGalley and I finished it in less than 24 hours. I loved this small town, single dad x nanny romance so much! This was my first Kristen Proby and now I’m tempted to read her entire backlist. This is book one in her new series so it was the perfect place for me to start. This had a suspenseful plot line in addition to the romance which I really enjoyed. Fans of Catherine Cowles and Devney Perry would love this!
Remington is not only a single dad of two, but a really good guy. His parents want to retire and he knows that he needs help. Erin falls in love with the little town when she visits and she soon gets a job a the coffee shop. She enjoys the little things in life and is very relatable. She runs into car trouble and needs more income. Erin applies for the nanny position and the children like her a lot. Erin has secrets and she doesn't tell anyone about her family. You soon meet her family and when everyone realizes who her dad is, she is worried they will treat her different. When the flowers start arriving again, Remington and her family will do everything they can to protect her. I loved this book and I can't wait to read more from Kristen Proby. Remington is such a stand up guy and I really enjoyed getting to know all of the characters. I really enjoyed the narrator's voices.
