The rating is not a reflection of her writing nor the storyline, but more a personal preference. I am a sucker for nanny/single day and cowboy romance, but it felt like it happened too quick for me. I am not an instalove kinda girl. I do love their dynamic and Remington is a total stud. If you are looking for these tropes this book is for you.
• Single dad/nanny
• grumpy sunshine
• age gap
And in my opinion
• instalove

This was my first Kristen Proby book and I really enjoyed it! The audio was fantastic. I just loved these two narrators together and Sebastian York was amazing per usual. Emma Wilder did a wonderful job narrating for Erin as well.

Remington is a single dad that owns a ranch and in need of a nanny and that’s when he hired on Erin. The new to town girl that works at the coffee shop. I loved seeing her relationship with his kids thrive and I genuinely liked how much she cared for them. I also really enjoyed her sunshine to Remingtons grumpy exterior. Their relationship unfolds so beautifully and I genuinely enjoyed reading it. Kristen wrote the scenery so well for Montana and it makes me want to visit it so badly just based on her descriptions.

The suspense in this book was really well and the third act was very well written. I genuinely loved how protective Rem was with Erin and his kids and I really liked the family aspect of this book as well.

I absolutely LOVED this novel. I loved it so much I immediately went to Goodreads and added all of the first books in her different series’ to my TBR. Sebastian York? New favorite male narrator. Hands down. Emma Wilder? Amazing.

Tropes: Grumpy Sunshine, He Falls First, Cowboy/Rancher, Best Friends Brother, She’s the Nanny.

There was just so much depth to this novel. It never felt like there was too much going on but the story was ever evolving and kept me on my toes. Sprinkle a little bit of spice in there, perfect.

I can honestly say this story far exceeded any expectations I might have had going in. I would recommend for fans of Elsie Silver.

I’ve read all of Proby’s other series, so I knew what I was getting in this book. Yes, there are problem areas and plot wholes, but it was a sweet romance all the same. It was predictable and formulated, yet entertaining and cute.; a light easy read.

- small town
- found family
- age gap
- single dad & nanny

this gave all the small town romance feels with a bit of a suspense aspect thrown in. remington is a grumpy single dad and erin recently moved to the small town for a slower life.

i love how remington always put his kids first and always did the best possible things for them. erin just wanted to live a peaceful life providing for herself and was able to do that by working at the local coffee shop and becoming a nanny for remington’s kids.

remington & erin’s chemistry was palpable!! they were instantly attracted to eachother but didn’t want to mess anything up with the nanny situation and decided to ignore it. but after ignoring it became hard to do they had no choice but to cave. i do love how they got to learn more about each other over time and slowly gave in to their feelings.

remington was so protective of erin especially at the end and i thought it was the most wholesome thing. you could tell how well she fit into their little family and i loved seeing her find her own family away from home.

the audio for this one was so good & i loved both of the narrators!!

The tropes of this book are my absolute favourite one-
Age-Gap,
Single Dad x Nanny
Grumpy x Sunshine
So i had a great time reading this. The romance scenes were amazing and this was such a treat to my reading experience. I will be waiting for more books by this author now.

Erin was on vacation in Bitteroot Valley, Montana when she decided to stay instead of going back to Seattle. She wants to work hard and making a living on her own without having to rely on family money. When her car breaks down and she needs extra money she decides to look for a second job. To her surprise the grumpy man that comes in the coffee shop needs a nanny. Remington is a single father of two after his wife died during child birth. He has a busy life taking care of his ranch and needed the extra help but pretty soon he becomes attracted to Erin.

I love small town romance but wished this was a little longer so there could’ve been more time leading up to them being together for extra banter. It seemed quick for him being a private grumpy man. The only thing I actually didn’t like was that it was made to seem like Remington was unbothered by his wife’s passing and later played off like he wasn’t in love with her anymore even though they were having another baby.

Sebastian York & Emma Wilder did an amazing job with the narration of this book.
I’m excited for Chase & Summer’s story next.

Thank you Dreamscape Select for my ALC of Wild for You by Kristen Proby.

This book was the absolute sweetest! The narration was fantastic and easy to follow. With an amazing family dynamic, this single dad/nanny love story also featured a tinge of drama within the plot that definitely enhanced the story. I'm thrilled to see that this is the first in a series of books about the Wild family and being the huge fan that I am now, I'll definitely be reading the next book.

My goodness did I love this sweet and swoony small town love story, the first of the Wilds of Montana series. I gobbled up this audio (fabulously narrated by Sebastian York and Emma Wilder), and I can say that I’m already madly in love with this beautiful Bitterroot Montana setting, the endearing Wild crew, and the luxuriously dreamy love story between Erin and Remington.

Single dad/nanny tropes are my catnip- and Remington is the most delicious single dad. Remington is just a dreamboat- sure, grumpy at first, but ultimately he’s a hard-working and stoic guy, and he goes hard for those he loves. He’s protective, alpha, and deeply caring and thoughtful. He falls hard for his new nanny, and he gave me all the heart eyes. And Erin is such a likable and relatable leading lady. She’s sweet, optimistic, independent and kind. Despite her reasons for being in Montana, she’s just a ray of sunshine and brings so much joy to Remington..and his adorable kiddos. She helps soften our hardened single dad, helps him find his heart again. And he helps her find her strength and her home.

Their chemistry is so cute- all of that grumpy-sunshine flirtatious banter and all the steamy sexual tension. And together they are truly just adorable together. Supportive, empowering, they fit together so well. And the plotline added a bit of suspense (and some threats to Erin), which allowed Remington to come in and be all big, sexy growly protective alpha. And I was there for that! Plus it added some great tension and drama without having a big couple blow-up (yay for low angst!). And we get a bigger cast of characters that I’m so excited for more from!

This smalltown romance was so dreamy, sweet, and had me all in my happy feels! A feel-good, charming, and heartfelt escape!

The first novel in The Wilds of Montana Series, Kristen Proby introduces us to Remington and Erin… Remington is a grump and Erin is our sunshine ☀️ The story has some really great tropes: grumpy sunshine, age-gap, single dad, Nanny… Remington needs help with his two children and, Erin, our sunny FMC, is new to the area. She unexpectedly needs extra income and Remington needs a nanny, so perfect fit, right? In more ways than one… 😉

This isn’t the first novel I’ve read with a similar plot, but it doesn’t get old to me. Their relationship between Remington and Erin develops nicely and there’s great spice between the two.

So excited for the audiobook for this one! Great narration! I’d say it’s a solid 5 stars for me bc I love the tropes and the plot. Definitely recommend.

Erin moves to Montana and starts working at a coffee shop. Her father is famous but she wants to make her own money and make a life for herself. She meets a rancher family and starts working for the oldest brother by being his nanny to his two children. He’s a hot rancher by the way and everything I would imagine a rancher would be like.

I unfortunately didn’t love the audiobook but did listen to about 40% of it before I downloaded the kindle version which was released today. I loved this book until about 88% into the book and then I loved the last part of it. 10% of this book just got super weird and unnecessary to the book in my opinion but still a good book. I would say 3.75 stars, would have been 4 stars if that bit wasn’t written into the book in my opinion. I will read the second book coming out later this year because I’m interested what happens to the whole family.

Thanks netgalley and publisher for a chance to listen to this book for free for my honest opinion.

I want to go to Bitterroot Valley!

I fell in love with Kristen's book when I discovered her With me in Seattle series. Then there was the spin-off series Single in Seattle, and in the most recent one The Stand-In, I was obsessed with finding out Erin's story as she leaves her family and wealth behind to work in a coffee shop in Bitterroot Valley, Montana.

The audiobook is amazing and I devoured it all for the second time today to celebrate the release. How can anyone not love characters nicknamed Doc and Grumpy? I also have to mention Remington's two kids Holly and Johnny, who not only steal every scene they're in, but the readers heart as well.

Erin is a fiercely independent woman who doesn't want any of the fame or wealth that comes with her family. She's determined to make it on her own after her stalker is locked up, but that means getting a second job.

Remington lost his wife in childbirth and is now overwhelmed with the expansion of his family's ranch. He's generally grumpy and goes to town every day for a plain black coffee, as well as to push Erin's buttons.

** Age gap
** Forced proximity
** Grumpy/Sunshine
** Nanny
** Single dad
** Stalker

I loved this story from start to finish and will devour each book in the series as they're released. I can't wait for each of the siblings to have their story told, and have no doubt that we'll only fall in love with the town more.

This can definitely be read as a stand-alone, but fans will appreciate appearances by beloved characters from Play With Me, so this is definitely a world every reader would enjoy diving into at any point.

Erin is close to her family and even though it is hard to leave she knows that moving to Bitterroot Valley is like coming home. She is working at the coffee shop and is enjoying the friendships she has made however when her car breaks down, she isn’t certain how to pay for it until her friend suggests she work for his brother as a part-time nanny.

After the passing of his wife years earlier Remington is raising his two young children as a single father but now that he has taken over the management of the family ranch, he is finding it difficult to balance those responsibilities as well as his children, so he agrees to hire a nanny. He is surprised to find out that the woman who was suggested for the job is the same woman he gets his daily cup of coffee from.

Erin has a few secrets both when it comes to her past and her family but once all is revealed Remington and his family are there for her and now that she is part of his life he can’t imagine a future without her. The relationship between Erin and Remington is swoony and the relationship she has with his children are endearing and there is no doubt they are meant to be together. The performance of the narrators was superb as it brought out the small town feel of this heartwarming romance.

This feels like the first series Kristen wrote, With Me in Seattle, and I love that series so much. It brings back the energy I wasn’t feeling in her last books that she published, though I read and liked all of them.
But you also don’t have to read the series to understand this one, even if this one is a new generation. I recommend you do because it's amazing.

I love the vibes in this one. We have Erin moving to a small town and working in a coffee shop where she feels like she belongs. Due to her background, that is very important for her. Erin is very independent and likes to take care of people.

The hero is Remington, a single dad of two that manages the family ranch. So, cowboy romance with a big family. He’s also grumpy, while Erin is the sunshine

I really think they complement each other so well while navigating their jobs, kids and a little bit of suspense. This is now one of my favorite books by the author, and I’m already itching for book 2.

I absolutely loved this audio so much. I downloaded it and had it listened to in a day because I couldn't stop, sorry to the family that wanted dinner and had to fend for themselves! Sebastian York as Remington and Emma as Erin were perfect as they brought the characters to life. Now for the story itself. I feel in love with Wild For You. This isn't my first book by Kristen so I knew her writing style, but I have to say this is my favorite book by her so far. We get a little suspense, some romance and the most amazing family that you are ready to pack up and move to Bitterroot Valley. The small town gives you the vibe of everyone knowing you and also being there to help you when you least expect you need the help. I think for me it is also the fact that we have someone who never felt at home in the big city and her family, though not understanding at first, trust her and have her back even when they are in Seattle. I highly recommend this book, especially the audio!

I love this new series and Remington is a perfect grump!

Single dad Remington Wild has taken over running the family ranch and has two adorable children. The problem is he needs help. Help comes in the form of Erin Montgomery from Seattle. She’s recently moved into Bitterroot Valley, MT, for a slower and more peaceful life. She needs some extra cash to repair her car. Every day a grumpy cowboy comes into the coffee shop she works at and orders black coffee. She’s nicknamed him Grumpy. There is a spark between them, but neither is ready for it. She accepts the position of nanny.

I fell in love with Remington immediately. He’s grumpy, and reserved, and yet, he dotes on his kids, and you can see the love he has for them. He’s not ready to come out of his shell, however, as he gets to know Erin, he just can’t help himself. Erin is my favorite type of heroine. She’s strong and sassy. She doesn’t let anyone get the better of her. She’s survived some upsetting circumstances in her past and is ready to move forward. She comes from a large and love-out-loud family and has always felt protected. I listened to the audio version; Sebastian York has the quintessential grumpy hero voice down and Emma Wilder brings life to every book she narrates. I would listen again and again. I’m looking forward to Chase and Summer’s book next.

I loved this book so much! In general I love everything in the Seattle Universe that Kristen Proby writes but this one stood out for me. I love single dads, grumpy/sunshine, mature romances & strong heroines and this book has it all! Erin is the nanny, great with his kids and trying to make her own way in the world without the help of her famous family. Remington is a great dad but busy and wants to do better for his kids. The chemistry is high, the banter is fun and the kids are even more fun and all together this makes for a great book. I can't wait for more books in this new series.

The narration was great, they both were very fitting for the characters. Great casting choices!

"When I came to Montana, I was so lost. I didn’t know for sure what I wanted or even who I was. But I found it with you, and with Holly and Johnny. This is absolutely where I’m supposed to be."

This was my first Kristen Proby book! I really enjoyed her writing style. This will definitely not be my last book by her!

Bitter root valley is the perfect place to end up after everything that Erin has been through. All she wants is simple life after growing up in a family that always had the spotlight on them. Because with the spotlight comes lots of unwanted attention Erin is hoping to escape in Bitterroot.

After a few unlucky events she finds out just how supportive the town of Bitter root can be when it comes to supporting one of their own.

She especially finds out when her past she was hoping to escape in this quiet town doesnt stay hidden. Not only does the town step in to keep her safe, but the broody single dad she's been seeing is determined to as well.

There was so much chemistry between Erin and Remington right off the bat!

Their nicknames for each other was one of my favorite parts!

“Like the dwarf. Doc. You’ve been happy and sneezy and even dopey that day you said you had a blonde moment. Then you tended to my burn.”

Now those green eyes narrow on me. “So, that would make you Grumpy.”
