I enjoyed this book but I didn’t think I was going to. The idea of your ex husband’s wife moving in with you was a hard thing to imagine. But I couldn’t put the book down waiting to see what happened next. A very satisfying read and a wonderful ending. Loved it.
This talented author has written a unique story...an ex and the new wife...the daughter...did I mention the new wife? Yes...that is correct. This realistic fiction moves quickly with characters who just keep going on. Despite the heartache and sometimes tragedy, these women make the best of a poor situation...whew...this is a difficult book to put down because of the story line...what will happen next? Is this really happening? The protagonist is trying to help the new love interest of her ex...really? No kidding...sit back and enjoy. Thanks Netgalley.
Erica a single mother who has built a thriving business doesn’t know what is happening to her when her daughter Summer insists she goes to talk to her x husbands new wife Allison who has a toddler and is 6 months pregnant to help her when Peter the x lands in prison for money laundering. Peter leaves Allison in a huge predicament in that she has absolutely no money a part time job and they have to move out of their rental house because it’s been sold. Summer is more than a 16 year old girl and has so much compassion and empathy for her stepmother and her brother. She totally insists her mother take Allison into their house and together they all overcome their differences.
What a fantastic story and I’m thankful that NetGalley gave me ARC to read and review.
I enjoyed this book. It was really good. It was heartfelt and romantic. I couldn't see myself being friends with my ex husband's wife. I would probably do it if tis situation occurred and my daughter asked me to. The ending was better than I expected. I'm grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.
