I'll start by saying I loved the ending! Not often you'll hear those words from me but the last few paragraphs from this book were delicious.
The book starts with picture perfect couples living their indulgent picture perfect lives but soon takes a scenic route down a rather dark alley as things start to go wrong.
Part strangers on a train, part classic scam, The End of Us is a clever psychological thriller that plays out mainly from the point of view of GP Myles Butler.
The story is cleverly metered out and a mix of greed and entitlement steer the characters into deeper and murkier water as the book goes on and their trues intentions are revealed.
Overall this is a solid psychological thriller - will a great last line - and I thank Netgalley, the author and Quercus Books for an ARC in return for an honest review.

This book started out so good & I was excited to finish it but about half way through it become tedious & I lost interest!

This is a book that had be gripped right from the start, I really liked the characters of Myles and Lana and emphasized with the situation they were in. The moment the decide to commit insurance fraud is the moment when things begin to spiral out of control and the plot develops at a rapid pace. One not to be missed.

Unfortunately this book fell flat for me. I loved the plot and was excited to read it but the book was just too predictable.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC.
I enjoyed this a lot and would love to read more from this author in the future!

Loved, loved, loved! It was everything I enjoy in a domestic thriller, twists, turns and tension. Really well written and kept me invested throughout. Maybe not the most realistic but its a fiction story so it doesn't have to be. I really enjoyed it

Fabulous story and most thrilling and unsettling at times. I really enjoyed the fragments of relationships that they are trying to sever completely or glue together. Very relevant and relatable thanks ☺️

Thanks to Netgalley, Quercus Books and Olivia Kiernan for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The End of Us was a tense and twisty read full of intrigue. I really enjoyed it.
The writing was excellent, the plot was very clever and the characters were interesting.
Myles was a great main character. I was never sure if he was on the level or not, he kept me guessing. The twists were crazy good too.
This is the first book I've read from Olivia Kiernan. I'd definitely be keen to read more from her.
I highly recommend.
4 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It doesn’t automatically spoil a book for m3 if I don’t like the characters but in this case it didn’t help. I thought the back story to Miles and Lana so unlikely as to be laughable. Anyone who can manage to pay for all the living costs from a part time garage job should have gone into accounting not medicine.
The whole twisted and cold plot didn’t change my opinion and it wasn’t a story I enjoyed.

I enjoyed this domestic jaw dropping thriller! Who doesn't like reading about unlikeable problematic rich people?! Loved it and will recommend for those who enjoy thrillers and mysteries.

I just read the name of the author and nothing else. Then I discovered I already read and review it
This was my review
I'm not a huge fan of domestic thriller but I'm a huge fan of Olivia Kerson and I think she delivered a winner: darkly humorous, twisty, and gripping.
It made me think it's better not talk about money issues with people you don't know very well and insurance fraud can be tricky.
The posh setting and the characters are well described and I hated them all, loving the stories.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

I always feel excited when reading an Olivia Kiernan novel, I know it will grip me and keep me reading as the tension mounts up !

Highly recommended psychological suspense novel that is definitely different to the run of the mill fare.
Olivia Kiernan showcases her skill in providing the reader with a range of divisive and well-rounded characters who move the well-plotted storyline to its brilliant conclusion.

Well what I can say this book was such a great read a really enjoyed it. It was a dark tense read that had me gripped from start to finish fantastic will be definitely recommending this to everyone. Thanks to netgallery and the publisher for my advanced copy.

I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting, absolutely fantastic. Dark, chilling and intense, I loved it

This was an easy read, about some not entirely likeable but interestingly complex characters. Myles and Lana are facing a financial crisis that might be an existential threat to their relationship - or so Myles at least fears, since he has not come from the kind of privileged background that Lana has.
When their new neighbours Holly and Gabriel come up with an outrageous suggestion to help them, Myles is unwilling to consider the idea of insurance fraud involving Lana's policy. But his wife may be of a different mind.
And so begins a journey that Myles has never imagined.
We have the story from Myles' POV, which I found quite interesting. Because although he is not particularly likeable, some of his ideas are understandable, if not relatable, given his life experiences.
The story moves quite quickly and the writer succeeds in holding the reader's attention without too much effort. There are plenty of twists and quite a bit of darkness on offer here, so if that sounds appealing, this might well be a thriller for you.

Have to say i struggled with this book and i can't really say why. The story was interesting but not terribly gripping for me and i found myself flicking forward. Hate giving negative reviews but this just didn't float my boat others may think differently. My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

4.5 stars
Olivia Kiernan was a new to me author going in to this book, and after finishing it I will definitely be reading more from her!
Boy, did I enjoy this! I loved it right from the start. The story jumps straight in and I was fully invested and along for the ride throughout.
I enjoyed the writing style and how the plot all played out. One thing I really liked was reading the story through Myles's perspective. Usually these types of books have multiple POV's so this was a refreshing change.
This wasn't quite a 5 star read for me as I had figured out all the twists/reveals way before they were revealed, if it hadn't been for that this would have been a 5 star read and I don't give out many of those!
I had such a fun, enjoyable time reading this and I highly recommend you pick this one up if you are looking for a domestic thriller.

I liked the blurb/description of this book but when it came down to it, it was too slow starting for me. I think the hook needed to come in earlier/right away. It didn't hold my interest, sadly.

O.M.G!! WOW!! My head is spinning … I was just blown away … So captivating and addictive… Had me on the edge of my seat … Just incredible!!
