I wanted to love this book but I just couldn't connect with the characters. It was written in third person which isn't really my thing, so that could very well be my reason for not connecting with them, I'm not sure.

The overall storyline was good and I did enjoy it, but would definitely have preferred 1st person.

I did audio for this book and I found it a little confusing at times to know who the narrator was talking about.

I will try more of Samantha's books in the future though ๐Ÿ˜Š

Noah Wylder & Lily Montgomery are possibly the greatest โ€œmeant to beโ€ story of their world.

Three years ago, a New Yearโ€™s Eve kiss sparked a hidden desire that lingered and smoldered. While Lily traveled around in search of reaching her dreams as a dancer, Noah stayed at her families financial firm shouldering the animosity of her father.

When Lily gets injured in a football cheerleading tryout in Miami, sheโ€™s staring straight into the face of a possible surgery. She decides that her best choice is to go home & seek an alternate opinion. But upon arriving home, she discovers that her entire family, except her grandfather, are scheduled to be away on a trip for a month. What is a girl to do essentially all alone?

Noah finds himself with some additional responsibilities at work as he helps to cover the major accounts the other Montgomery men typically handle. Heโ€™s got his sights on proving that heโ€™s a valuable asset to the firm, & nothing can get in his way. His workaholic tendencies are all fine and good, at least until he quite literally runs in to a certain tiny dancer outside his office building. And when she pulls him along to aid her in a minor spy session, he finds himself in a precarious situation both with her & his job.

What has Lily all riled up needing Noahโ€™s assistance? What happens when Noah & Lily realize the depth of their attraction even after these 3 years? And what happens when her family comes home?

I canโ€™t wait for more in this series. Noahโ€™s brothers are going to be something to behold.

Audiobook Review:
Amy McFadden did an astounding job with this narration. Her voice changes & inflections left no question on which character was talking. Her ability to so effortlessly switched from Lily to Noah was perfect.

Two workaholics, one overbearing family. Can these two put work aside for love?

The characters do so much growing in this book, but definitely need reminders that work is not everything. They also need time for each other.

This book was so good! I absolutely loved the romance. I also loved the that the main female character was a ballet dancer! I would highly recommend this book

Samantha Chase is the Queen of closed door romance. She has a a talent of bringing the heat with close door, that makes it enjoyable without feeling like you are missing something. Lily and Noah had a moment 3 years ago, and they are both at a crossroads in their life. The story is adventure of finding your place in the world.

****SPOILERS!
So the narrator of this book made it really hard to understand at some points. Her voice for the female main character and her narrating voice were the same with no change at all so I did not know whether the girl was speaking or she was narrating at some points.

That being said, I hate to say this but this book seemed kind of pointless. It was LONG (11 hrs I think??) when it didnโ€™t need to be and reminded me of Icebreakers at some points which was also unnecessarily long.

It was a typical love story, boy works for girls family, forbidden love, etc etc but what really irked me was the female main character was SO SELFISH and she had no character growth at all. In many points of the book she admitted to using her familyโ€™s name to get things she wanted and even towards the end of the book her family had to yell at her for how selfish she was being in public. Like youโ€™re 26 grow up. If this would have been the point of the book from the start: her being selfish and then realizing it and becoming less selfish, I would have understood but even at the end when the guy and girl get together he is still totally okay with her being exactly who she is aka SELFISH. This book did not sit well with me but thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy!

Lily Montgomery has had the amazing fortune of being able to live her dream of being a dancer. Getting opportunities that few people do Lily loves her life. She suffers what could be a career ending injury and decides to return home to heal with her family. When she returns home, she has come to find that all of her family is away. Her plan is to hang out with her grandfather until the rest of the family returns. As Lily begins to decide the next steps, she should take a blast from the past returns, throwing her for a loop, and some strange actions from her grandfather have her on her toes.

Noah is a man with a plan. Heโ€™s committed to climbing the corporate ladder at Montgomeryโ€™s. To make sure he secures his financial safety is a number one priority. Three years ago he was almost thrown from his track with an unexpected kiss, and now the giver of that kiss is back in his life. Noah has made it his mission to stay under the radar while moving up the ladder and gaining trust within the Montgomery company. Noah has held onto that memory for three years. In the moment he sees her those memories are resurrected right before his eyes. Now he feels like he must choose between everything heโ€™s worked for and having the girl.

Irresistible Love starts off the new Wylder Love Series. Noah and Lily have a little bit of history that neither one of them has shake from their minds. As Lily is trying to figure out her life, she canโ€™t help but to keep running into Noah. Whether it be at her grandfather's house or at the office, somehow they just keep ending up in the same space together. I love that they are both completely smitten with each other, but yet have things that hold them each back. When Lily sees something that throws her for a loop she quickly enlists Noahโ€™s help to get to the bottom. As the days go by, they seem to be spending more and more time together. Soon that chemistry can no longer contain itself and just explodes. Noah and Lily have a very unique dynamic with one another that complements them beautifully. Noah and Lily are both very much connected with their families but yet their families have been through very different situations, but yet has made them both feel they are. I very much enjoyed watching him, explore the relationship and find their way to being a couple. Although this is the first book in a new series, we do get to see some of our favorite Montgomeryโ€˜s for Mrs. Chaseโ€™ pass books. I am very much looking forward to see what else comes from the Wylder Series.

Samantha Chase is brilliant with cinnamon roll MMCs. Irresistible Love is cinnamon roll mixed with opposites attract, daughter of the boss, kind of forbidden love.

Lily, injured dancer escapes to her family home after getting disappointing information from her physicians. When she arrives her family is not there. So she seeks out her grandfather and spends the next few weeks with him. Meanwhile, she's finding that her grandfather is keeping secrets and lying to her about obvious things. She turns to a man, Noah, who works for her father and grandfather for help on finding out what's going on and they get close.

This was a lovely romance. It was a clean, quick, easy read. One I would definitely recommend to my grandmother.

This book was "read" as an audiobook. Amy McFadden narrates and portrays the characters wonderfully. I do think, however, that this storyline could've benefitted from a male narrator counterpart.

I like Chase's writing style. She makes reading seamless. I will be picking up the next in the series.

I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review. The opinions are my own and completely unbiased.

What a sweet book! What a charming, wonderful story!
This is not my first Samantha Chase Book, and it will certainly not be my last!

Lily is a dancer. Sheโ€™s rehearsing one day when she hears a โ€˜popโ€™ and feels excruciating pain.
She is then forced to go on leave, and is undergoing PT, but she does not feel like sheโ€™s healing rightโ€ฆ
So, she decides to surprise her family and return home for some family love, and a break, and to get her families opinions on the need for surgeryโ€ฆ
But, the surprise is on her when she gets home and no one is there!

Reluctantly, she calls her Momโ€ฆand she suggests she visit her grandpa. And so, she stays with grandpa while her parents are awayโ€ฆ

But, things do not seem right with grandpaโ€ฆand sheโ€™s not sure whyโ€ฆ

On top of all of this, she runs into the one guy she does NOT want to see. One she has some unfinished business with. The one she passionately kissed a few years ago on the stroke of midnight, on New Yearโ€™s Eveโ€ฆ

Despite the fact that she does not want to see him, they keep running into each other, all over town.

Very sweet. Very powerful. Family ties and love and loyalty.

this was a super cute romance. i listened to the audio and really enjoyed it. my favorite part about this one was the family dynamics. i loved getting to watch lily come back home and figure out what she wanted to do with her life while also figuring out what her grandfather was up too

noah & lily had amazing chemistry and getting to see that grow and develop their relationship over the course of the book was perfect.

This is the first book in the Wylder Love series by Samantha Chase.

Lily Montgomery is a talented dancer facing the unknown after suffering an injury. She comes home to visit family but ends up running into Noah Wylder, the man she kissed three years ago.

Noah Wylder is such a cinnamon roll and I love him so much. He had a carefully laid out plan that gets thrown out the window when Lily Montgomery reappears in his life. His kindness and determination to protect and care for those he loves gave me all the feels.

I really enjoyed Lily and Noahโ€™s story. It was a mix of lighthearted banter, sizzling chemistry, and serious moments of self discovery. What hooked me was that this book was not just a story about Lily and Noah finding each other but a story about finding themselves as well. Lilyโ€™s meddlesome grandpa was also hilarious I couldnโ€™t get enough of him!

If you love these tropes this book will be a must read for you!

This is a light and fun romance that entertains. Lily is trying to figure out what she wants in life. Noah has his path all set. Naturally, they cause each other to reconsider what is really important.
This was a quick and easy read. Nice way to spend and afternoon.

Another fantastic romance from Samantha Chase. The FMC was a bit infuriating at times. But I can't imagine what I'd do in her shoes. But the romance made up for it

Irresistible Love is the first book in Samantha Chaseโ€™s Wylder Love series. This is a transition story from A Merry Montgomery Christmas which was set three years earlier. That novel had introduced the two main characters in this story, professional dancer Lily Montgomery and finance guy Noah Wylder, who works for the Montgomery investment company. It also included the infamous New Yearโ€™s midnight kiss Lily bestowed on Noah, completely setting her father off on a negative view of Noah, impacting his life at the company ever since.
Patriarch William Montgomery has arranged for his three sons and their wives to take a month long Mediterranean cruise. The three sons, including a reluctant Lucas, have left their clients in Noahโ€™s competent hands. William has also arranged for his wife Monica and his two sisters-in-law to go on a month long trip of their own. While gone, Lucas and Emma, Lilyโ€™s parents, have arranged for a whole house renovation.

Meanwhile, Lily has decided to return home to Charlotte from south Florida, where she had been training to tryout for the pro football dance team. Unfortunately, during the training, Lily tore the cartilage around her hip socket which, even with weeks of physical therapy, isnโ€™t healing. She has been told surgery is her only option, something she vehemently does not want to do!

Arriving home to surprise her parents, Lily finds them gone, the house uninhabitable, and heads to her grandparents. There she discovers her grandmother is also away and her grandfather, acting unlike himself, puts her up in the guesthouse rather than the room she always used before when staying with her grandparents. The following day, when Lily arrives to invite her grandfather to lunch, he puts her off saying he is about to get on a video conference. And this is when Lily encounters Noah for the first time since coming home.

From this point, Lily and Noahโ€™s paths keep crossing, until they form an alliance, first to figure out what is going on with William, secondly what is going on between them. This is another fine offering from Ms. Chase. While this story is told with the same heart and humor as in all of her books, there is also focus placed on some serious health issues. With endearing characters, a tight plot, and a family crisis, this is a well done tale! I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

I listened to the audio for this book and that was a 5 star. I loved the narrator, she was awesome. Got all the tons just right and lots of emotion in her voice. I think if I had read the book (instead of listening) my rating wouldn't be so high - this narrator told the story that well.
So the story itself was a 3,5 stars for me.
I don't mind the insta-love trope, these two had good chemistry 3 years ago and it continued today; they spent almost every day together to get to know one another. But it was more about the sex than them developing feelings for one another and that bothered me.

This was a closed-door romance with tons of chemistry and some initiation of the intimate scenes, but no details.
It was a fast and easy read, no triggers.

I was given an ALC from NetGAlley in exchange for an honest review.

This review contains brief spoilers. I really liked this audio book, the sneaking around and a small mystery to fill out. Noah is such a sweetie and I loved him so much! I want to know about Lily's family members and hope to see more of them in future books.

The narrator was amazing, she did a great job creating unique voices for all of the characters we get to know in the book.

At times I did feel Lily was immature at times, it's understandable for it to be a part of her character arc but it felt too dragged out.

Overall, Irresistable Love is a closed door, adorable romance by Samantha Chase in her new Wylder Love series. Anything Samantha Chase is an easy yes from me! I did find, in comparison to her other books, that this felt a bit too slow throughout and then a rushed ending, but the couple was (mostly) easy to root for - Lily was a bit much at times. The narrator did a fantastic job.

Thank you to Dreamscape and NetGalley for this ALC!

Super cute, fade to black/closed door romance! It gives a little second chance-ish, the one that got away, heโ€™s a Labrador vibes. The audiobook version was *chefs kiss.* No complaints from me, whatsoever.

Noah and Lily meet due to Noah working for Lilyโ€™s family at their firm. One fateful Christmas/New Years, Noah is invited to spend it with their family. Lily makes a move, everyone gets mad at Noah like itโ€™s his fault, queue the avoidance tactics for three years. That is, until Lily moves back home *waggles eyebrows.*

I would recommend for anyone who loves love, but maybe just wants a kid friendly/work friendly/no spice read!

Super sweet and adorable book.
I liked the hero the most. He was sweet and caring and supportive of the heroine.
Our heroine sometimes was a bit frustrating, but she has a beautiful heart, so I let that go.
Overall, it's a sweet read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lily is a dancer who recently injured her hips, devastated she went back to her parentโ€™s home to figure out her next step. There she reunited with Noah, the employee of her familyโ€™s business who she had a crush on and a little kiss with 3 years ago. With the close proximity, their feelings resurfaced, but Noah is very reluctant to go after her, as her dad has been hostile toward him since he found out about their little affairs 3 years ago. How long he can fight his feelings when he always finds Lily to be irresistibleโ€ฆ.?

This was a very simple small-town romance between a dancer and the guy who worked for her familyโ€™s business. They sneak around because the dad doesnโ€™t approve for no good reason, so that was annoying. I find Lily to be a very unlikable heroine, very immature, selfish, and judgy. I seriously cannot find anything to like about her, Noah though? Heโ€™s perfect, I love him and he deserves so much more than Lily. The only thing I donโ€™t like about him is probably why heโ€™s still so into Lily when even his brother and mom told him they were probably not right for each other (stubborn much?)

Of course, itโ€™s a good quality in a MMC, but at least gave something redeemable for the heroine to deserve such devotion. Cause even until the end, HE is the one who chases after her! And this was way too long for such a simple story, I donโ€™t get why it had the grandpaโ€™s side storyline, Iโ€™m more interested in more of Noahโ€™s brothers. Luckily the narrator doing an amazing job, so overall I did have a good time listening to this.
