Lily and Noah were always destined to be from their very first kiss. And when an injury leads Lily back home, she sees Noah again years after their first kiss. Is the attraction still there between them? Absolutely.
This book was good, but the third person POV made it hard for me to really connect to these characters - I wanted to be more in their heads.
I really enjoyed the narration in this book - Amy McFadden did a great job!

What I loved about this book is the character development, really well done. There was a lot of secondary characters, but they all served a purpose and then left to make room for more. There was no confusion in who is who or being overwhelmed on the influx of characters. I liked the humor was very subtle. Narrator was great although a male narrator would have been nice to be involved.

I read the book and listened to the audiobook. The narration was acceptable, however, I think part of my problem with everything is that Lily was an entitled and whiny character. It also felt that Noah was a bit of a doormat, but he did have some character progression, which I appreciated.
The overall premise behind the ';forbidden love' seemed to be a bit juvenile and could have been solved with some communication.
I wont completely write off the whole series yet, but I definitely hope for some stronger characters in the next installment of the series..

I love Samantha Chase’s small town romances so I was very excited to hear she was was releasing a new series. Irresistible Love is book one in the Wylder Love Series and this is Noah Wylder and Lily Montgomery’s second chance at love. If this book is anything to go by Ms Chase will certainly have another hit series on her hands.
Noah and Lily met three years ago and there was an instant connection but that wasn’t their time but now Lily is back home after a career ending injury and she needs Noah’s help.
Noah agrees to help when Lily’s grandfather starts acting suspiciously but no one could have expected the implications this is going to have on their life’s and more importantly will this break Noah and Lily’s relationship. Will they be strong enough to weather the storm…one click to find out.
I loved this book, I fell hard and fast for Noah and I really wish I had a friend like Lily in my corner but what made this a wonderful read was the perfect mix of love, banter and drama. I’m excited for what’s coming next in this series.
Amy McFadden did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. She was spot on with the banter and the emotion.
I received a copy of the audio book from the publisher through Net Galley.

I read/listened to the audio version of this book. The narration of the audio by Amy McFadden was great. I love her voice, but in this case, it didn't feel like the character's maturity matched the maturity of McFadden's voice.
I love romances by Samantha Chase. This one is an insta-love, which I always find a little hard to believe. Noah was definitely my favorite character. He was a strong guy who never apologized for who he was. Lily seemed to be a little immature. She was a professional dancer who suffered an injury but refused to have the surgery she needed.
I did love the two of them together. Noah was always very sweet towards her. He was also willing to stand up for their relationship. Lily could have used some of his bravery. Their romance was lovely, as are all of those written by Chase.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media, NetGalley and Valentine PR. All thoughts are my own.

This was my first Samantha Chase book, so I didn't know what to expect, but with a blurb like that, I knew I NEEDED it!!
Thank you Netgalley and Dream Scape Media for an audio arc.
Lily is a dancer, living out her dream until she gets injured. She makes an unexpected journey back home to heal. Upon return, she finds the man she kissed years ago and the chemistry is still there. The only issue is he still works for her family and unfortunately her father is not about it.
But how can one deny their chemistry?? They don't. They sneak around.
There's a lot more going on in this book than just romance: Lily's family issues, Noah growing with his job, Lily trying to get healed.
This was a super cute read, but I have a bone to pick with calling this sexy and then having closed door/fade to black scenes?? In addition, I never really felt their chemistry/connection.
But the narrator, Amy McFadden, did a phenomenal job.

Like past Samantha Chase novels, the characters are relatable and you find yourself cheering for them. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Lily Montgomery, is a dancer, she has been dancing non-stop for years. Then there is Noah Wylder, the sexy numbers nerd who works for the Montgomerys, the company Lily's family owns, Lily gave Noah a New Year's Eve kiss that still lingers in the air three years later.
Lily, with her career soaring, faces an unexpected twist when an injury brings her back home. Noah is committed to his meticulous five-year plan within the Montgomery empire. The sparks between them are undeniable, and Samantha Chase does a wonderful job weaving a tale of second chances and the pressure that comes with being part of an overachieving family. Lily will need to decide how to deal with her injury and how to move forward.
This book has a cozy, heartwarming atmosphere. The small-town setting, the family dynamics, and the slow-burning romance create a comforting reading experience that's perfect for those who love a feel-good love story.
This book is full of heated glances and kisses, it leans more toward the sweet side rather than the sizzling one. If you're in the mood for a love story with just a hint of spice, this story keeps the romance engaging without diving into the explicit territory. Which is too bad. This story could have used a tad more spice in my opinion.
The theme of feeling pressured by family expectations adds a layer of relatability. Lily's struggle with her injury and Noah's commitment to his five-year plan create characters who are authentic and grounded. There were moments when I wished for a bit more exploration of certain plot points. It needed a tad more spice and some more backstory on both our main characters for anyone new to the Montgomerys. This book is the first in a new series after all.

Irresistible Love is a small town romance about Lily and Noah. Noah works for Lily’s family. Three years earlier Lily kissed Noah at New Year’s party. Lily’s dad who is also one of Noah’s bosses didn’t like that. Lily goes off to dance for Boardway and goes on other dance adventures. When Lily gets injured dancing she returns home where she sees Noah again. This is a very sweet romance with a bit of spice. Noah takes the safe route in life but Lily helps him open up to life. I will be reading more books from this author.

I have waited for this story since the Montgomery Christmas book. I am so glad that they finally got their story. It was an interesting story and relationship. I loved every minute of it. I also love that it really showed the struggle of being a Montgomery.

I really tried to get into this one but it just wasn't doing it for me. The narration felt off to me, maybe that is what hindered my experience. I unfortunately had to DNF.

I loved this irresistible forbidden romance! Lily and Noah shared a passionate kiss at Lily's family party, before going their separate ways. Lily has been traveling for her dance career, but a severe injury has her recuperating at home and figuring out what to do next. When Noah and Lily meet at her families office, neither of them expected the fiery attraction they once shared, burning even hotter this time around. But it has taken Noah three years to redeem himself and feel like his hard work at Montgomerys was finally paying off, so he doesn't want to risk getting involved with the bosses granddaughter. But when Lily starts to question some things about her grandfather, Lily pulls Noah into her investigation. The more time they spend together the more they are unable to deny their growing feelings for each other. But what happens when their hearts become invested but their careers take them down different paths? This was a fun, heartfelt, and steamy romance that hooked me right from the start. Noah and Lily are such opposites, but really are so perfect for each other. Noah was a sweet nerd who couldn't say no, and wanted to take care of everyone. Lily was carefree, but loved her family dearly, and I was happy with her growth through the story. I also loved both of their families who added so much heart to this story.
Amy McFadden did a great job bringing these characters and story to life. She delivered all the wit, emotion, and steam and I was totally lost in her performance. I really enjoyed listening to this fun, touching, sweet and steamy romance!

A cute and quick contemporary romance! 3.5 stars! Lily and Noah got me hooked from the start with their semi-ambiguous past kiss. I really enjoyed the setting of this romance, Lily is working through an injury that has thrown her professional goals out the window for the time being, and Noah is working hard for advancement within a finance firm.
After a spicy holiday kiss in front of the entire c-suite's daughter/granddaughter/niece, Noah has been on thin ice with some in the office. When Lily shows up back in town and keeps popping in the office the frustrated attraction comes to a head. But do they hook up quietly, go public, or go their own ways.
The first half of IL flew by, but towards the end the romance staled a little, and the FMC's complaints got a little repetitive. As someone currently recovering from a sports injury with 9-12 months worth of rehab, her 4-6 week rehab that she wanted to avoid seemed like a walk in the park! And I found her avoidance of surgery to be a bit immature and cowardly. I understand it as a plot point, but it just kept going and going and going. I get it... she was nervous about surgery...
Noah was great. Stable, kind, and hardworking. I liked that he didn't have some crazy occupation, and wasn't super grumpy. The other brother's stories are set up nicely and I'm interested to see how they play out as well.
Random bone to pick... but... the cover really doesn't make sense to me. It gives me completely different vibes than the story. Noah should be in a suit! She repeatedly talks about how good he looks in his business attire, so the semi-lumber jack/hipster cover man does not fit his vibe to me at all!
*Thank you to Dreamscape Media, NetGalley, and Samantha Chase for the audiobook. I am always glad to leave my honest opinion!*

I was excited to receive the audio version of this latest book by Samantha Chase. I had the fortune to meet the Montgomery family several books ago, but now the youngsters are getting their own stories. This book is the first in the Wylder Love series which features Noah Wylder and Lily Montgomery. We first get a glimpse into their chemistry in the Merry Montgomery Christmas book.
I honestly couldn’t help but think about what a BRAT Lily is throughout the book. She’s definitely an entitled rich girl that may not even deserve Noah, but I couldn’t have been happier when her parents even called her out on her appalling behavior!

Oh my goodness! Do you remember that kiss at New Year's a few years ago (or a few books ago) between Lily and Noah? Well, Lily has come home to rehab her injury and her entire family has gone on a month's long vacation, everyone except her grandfather. He apparently doesn't have room for her in his home at the moment and she is relegated to the pool house. She and Noah bump into each other again. Easy to do since he has taken over the accounts for the family while they are away and her grandfather has taken him under his wing. The chemistry between these two is combustible and even though they try to resist there is nothing they can do about it. What will happen when the family comes home though? Love these families! Cannot wait for the other Wylder brothers!

This book was middle of the road for me. I liked the premise overall, but the characters muddied the waters. Lily read like an immature brat at times, while Noah came off as a doormat. I wasn’t rooting for them - more asking “why do you want this?”. I had hoped to see more growth as the book progressed, and while Noah did finally stand up, Lily just continued to be someone I wasn’t rooting for. Also didn’t super love the Montgomerys in general. My final thought is the story had potential, but the characters fell flat.

Samantha chase has always been an author I could truly rely on when I needed an escape and desperately craved hallmark style HEA’s and she has delivered once again with the newest generation of Montgomery. It felt amazing to revisit this universe after having read all the previous stories written by the author as well as seeing the previous characters once again in a new day and age.
We meet lily in this book who is going through a big transition and has to make the right decision to secure her future and her sanity while trying to escape her current reality and finding ground, she comes back home only to discover everything has changed and life is moving at a fast pace around her.
This book is the first in what I hope will be a long series. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.
Thank you NetGalley.

The characters were well penned down and each was given enough share of spotlight which was the cherry on the cake. I absolutely loved it and had a great time reading this.
Definitely going to check out more work of this author.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a Samantha Chase book and this one just reminded me of all the reasons I love her books. It’s such a sweet story with well developed characters that you just fall in love with. I can’t wait to see where she takes Lily and Noah in future books in this series. The narrator, Amy McFadden, was great to listen to tell the story.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to review this book prior to publication.

Irresistible Love
by Samantha Chase
Narrated by Amy McFadden
Rating: 3.6/5 Stars
Irresistible Love is Book 1 in the The Wilder Love Series by Samantha Chase. This is an easy listen with a HEA at the end. Lily and Noah's love story starts three years earlier at NYE with her family when they kiss. Then nada. Lily goes back to her dance career and Noah continues working for her family's company. That is until Lily hurts herself and comes back home. What happens next is a fun tale of missed opportunities, second chances, and families. This is an easy listen, and you'll be wrapped up in the story before you know it.
Now on to nitty gritty...Lily and Noah didn't make me "feel" for them when things go wrong. The conflict wasn't huge and didn't pull at my heartstrings like some stories do. That doesn't mean that it isn't a good story. I'm just saying that it doesn't do that. Ms. McFadden's narration was fantastic and I felt that she added life to the characters. This isn't my first book narrated by her and she always does a good job. Overall, I enjoyed this story. It wasn't a five-star book for me, but it kept me listening and gave me my HEA.
Thanks to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author for the chance to listen to and review this ARC!
