This book felt like a Hallmark movie. I found the story to be just ok. I never felt a connection or chemistry with the characters.

I somehow could not take this seriously, Lily sneaking around to find out who the mystery woman is she’s seen with her grandfather. Dragging Noah along. What I remember mostly is the humongous amount of food mentioned in the book.

I guess it’s a fairly good story, your average romance, but I could not connect with it. With anything. If dance was everything to Lily, she didn’t seem very concerned or even committed to me. it didn’t seem like a priority. The story didn’t catch my attention the way I wanted it to, hence the 3.5 listening speed. This seemed like a weird romantic comedy and I have the suspicion that it wasn’t supposed to be?!

The narration by Amy McFadden was ok. I listened at 3.5 speed and I could still understand it perfectly. While there was nothing wrong with the narration, I would have liked a male narrator as well, especially as there is a dual POV. Sometimes I got confused who was speaking.
