I LOVED this book! I now own the audio book as well as the Kindle version from Amazon! Anything by Abby is an automatic 5 star in my book and this book had some of the cutest characters!! I'm looking forward to reading about the main characters from this book in Abby new short story. I had laugh out loud moments but also sobbed at some parts of the book so though this is short and sweet, it did take me through a rollercoaster of emotions!!
Adorable, hilarious, poignant--as always-- perfectly on brand for Jimenez who masterfully blends real life struggle with self actualization and love, oh, and an adorable dog. The readers were excellent as well--this is a must have for your audiobook collection.
This was SUCH a fun story. I loved the new take on the epistolary element with notes left on MC's car!

This was so stinking cute!!! The Abby Jimenez & Zachary Webber combo is one I will never stop loving because the universe could not have created a more perfect combo. So please do yourself the favor of getting this in audio format and have fun!!!
This was a very cute and short story of a meet-cute. Perfect for Valentine’s Day! I love all of Abby’s love interests… seriously every single one of them is just so good!!!
There was pain in the book, so please don’t ignore the content warning but it was also so wholesome. The grandma was such a badass and that plot twist at the end… WOW 😈😈 pop off grandma!
Thank you Abby for this ALC!!
The narration for Abby Jimenez's books are always top-notch, and this one is no different! The narration helped to elevate an already wonderful story.
"Take responsibility for your own unhappiness. If you don't love your life, change it."
What powerful sentences that we can all learn from! Super cute story! I will listen to anything Abby writes. Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber are always fantastic. Bringing emotion to a short story dealing with some heavy issues, such as grief/loss and taking control of what you can control in your life.
The meet cute of this story had me grinning from ear to ear! How I want to hear more of John and Holly's story.
This was so cute! The meet cute was so unique (and definitely improbable LOL). I can’t believe how much Abby Jimenez packed into this novella. There were some sad moments (please check CW’s), but it was balanced well with humor and sweetness. I loved how everything came together at the end. The audiobook is amazing and Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber were perfectly cast! I love their voices together and wish this was longer!

CW: loved one in hospice and discussions of death/end of life, grief, death of loved one, cheating ex (past), deathbed confession, mention of domestic abuse and self defense murder (past), abandoned and mistreated/abused animal
*I voluntarily listened to a review copy of this book*
Holly’s having a crappy time of it and gets momentarily cheered up/creeped out by a valentine’s card left on her windshield. It’s for someone else, sadly/fortunately, and the leaver makes it his mission to apologize for the misunderstanding and inappropriate coupon. Thus beginneth a novella about bad days, dying loved ones, and men with beards and puppies (Abby Jimenez knows what male-attracted people want and delivers it in spades). I would also like to add that there is nothing elderly-acting about having a portable air compressor in your car; I will not stand for this slander. Anyway if you like epistolary romances about handymen and nurses, you should tune in.
Another winner from Abby Jiminez! I love her writing and will take any dose I can get - even a short story!
Abby’s done it again! Written a story that made me feel like I was getting a fly on the wall view of the inner thoughts of people I didn’t know I knew and loved, but just found out I do.
Listening to this book was a joy and a privilege. She’s nailed the internal monologue of being a caregiver and a human in the stages of life few think about from an authentic and kind way.
I’m left (of course) wanting to know More about these two, and their lives.
Kind. Funny. Poignant. Clever. Real. Authentic. That’s an Abby Jiminez book- and the performance from the voice actors was phenomenal as well!
Can’t miss book! You need this one!
Thank you NetGalley for allowing some of Abby's fans to have an ARC audible version of Worst Wingman Ever. It was one the best hours of my life!! The narrators Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber were AMAZING!!! Thank god I work from home, so that I didn't look absolutely crazy screaming laughing at some of the parts (ie when John finally agreed to having a hair cut after months!!) and crying the next! The book pulled all the heart strings, as I recently went through hospice care for my mom, who I lost 3 months ago 😭 and the scenes brought me back. That's how great of an author Abby is - she's so descriptive and accurate in her storytelling always! Loved this short story of this meet cute collection! ❤️
