A swoon worthy YA romance that is a mix of a grown-up Little House of the Prairie story and a cleaned-up version of an adult Harlequin Romance. Emmel has written a beautiful story full of imagery that places you in a sleeping bag under a sky full of stars. Her descriptions of the prairie are vivid and detailed. The characters are likable and well developed. California girl meets Nebraskan cowboy on an Oregon Trail adventure trip. The two have a rocky beginning as they both make assumptions about the other but as the journey progresses, well you know. A fun and enjoyable read that warms your heart.

Cute little romcom that’s suited for a light and fluffy beach (?) read maybe? I read it in winter but it still seems to have that vibe. Thanks for the arc
