Rating: ⭐ 5/5
So...this was a really good book! I love comedy and needed a break from my usual fantasy so I was happy to find out I got approved for the ARC of a rom-com. I really like the cover of this book and the description seemed interesting.
I went into this book without any expectations and I think I was laughing within the first page and didn't stop.
Grace is a wedding planner but her last wedding was disaster and now she is facing a lawsuit. The prince of a country called Verdana, Oliver, is being forced by his traditional mother into an arranged marriage with someone he considers to be a sibling. Oliver wants to get out of this arranged marriage and hires Grace as the wedding planner because of her disastrous reputation.
Veronica is literally hilarious. She is the princess of another country and is Oliver's fiancée. I think she was probably my favorite character.
I loved how clumsy Grace was. She would trip all the time and it was so funny whenever Oliver would catch her.
This book put the comedy in romantic comedy and I will most likely be reading another book by this author.
Sweet and funny. I fell for Grace and Oliver as they fell for each other. The theme for this book is whatever can go wrong does but love will out. I loved how Grace dealt with the Queen.
I loved this book! The pacing was very well done. I love royalty books and this one did not disappoint. I would highly recommend!
I was in the mood for a royal romance when this one flitted across my screen. I’ve heard of this author a few times but had yet to pick up one of his to read. The blurb seemed a fascinating and unique take so I jumped at the chance. This is a clean romance with a touch of spice in some of the characters and conversations. I’m thankful it wasn’t the love triangle I was expecting (I HATE love triangles). This was a different and interesting read. Definitely full of humor and intriguing moments and adventures. I felt the heroine was a bit irreverent at times with her admiration of the prince but it basically held in line with the story. I would definitely consider reading another clean romance by this author.
I received an eARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Big fan of reading romance books and this one was a good page turner. The pace was great and it keeps you engaged. Also the personality and challenges the characters go through are relatable.
I tend not to read romantic comedies with anything “Royal” because their plots end up somewhat similar. However, the description of the book left me curious about the plot.
An American woman with her own company’s reputation in tatters is hired to plan the wedding of a prince on the other side of the world with the only expectation of her ruining his own wedding, just as the social networks claim she’s done for other clients. Little he could imagine that his life was going to change the way it did.
I got curious to see what happened after she was hired and how the Prince was going to get out of the chaos after she finds out the real reason why he hired her in the first place.
This was a cute story overall. The time I invested in reading this book was worth it, I definitely enjoy it until the end. The only thing I found frustrating is that I have to wait to read the next book in the series “Royal Twist” until its May release, but that’s what always happens when you really like a book in a series.
Sweet fairy tale
Grace is a wedding planer who had a lot of bad luck lately. She is known on the internet as the worst wedding planer. Prince Oliver hopes that she can ruin his wedding and thus prevent his arranged marriage from happening - but he doesn't tell her his plans. Of course those two develop feelings and things get complicated...
I really enjoyed reading this book. I mostly liked the characters and the story was entertaing and funny, if a bit predictable.
This book gave me lighthearted Hallmark royalty movie vibes - super sweet with lots of twists and hijinks and low spice.
Prince Oliver is looking for ways to sabotage his upcoming arranged wedding to Princess Veronica (and she is on board with this sabotaging) when he finds the viral videos of the wedding fails by Grace Fullerton, the American wedding planner, and decides that she must be his wedding planner. Will his scheme go as planned or will he lose his heart to Grace?
I was little worried about whether Prince Oliver was a decent person after he comes up with his scheme of hiring Grace and then so many problems arise that I started to think that Oliver was the culprit and didn't like Grace as much as I thought he did. But everything ends a HEA with an epic grovel from Prince Oliver which more than made up for his questionable scheme IMO.
I liked the dual POV and innocent falling in love of the characters. I definitely felt like everyone knew they were in love before they did. I wish that Grace's career before wedding planning had been introduced earlier because it felt like her previous career (which plays a large role in the ending of the book) would have been something that came in conversations or in her thoughts (like "I don't want to go back to the corporate world" etc).
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book for free!
The first book I read from this author and it was so funny. I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy it, but it made me laugh out loud, literally. The relationship between the prince and Grace was perfect; they had the perfect amount of hardship and the perfect amount of silly. I loved the other characters as well; they made the book feel more than just a romance.
This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read
Royal Crush looks like an absolute treat! I am beyond excited to read, acquire, and share my thoughts on this one! I love the unique concept and I think this would make a great book club pick or made for tv movie. Much more to come soon. Please watch this space. Also love the wedding planning theme as well!
I really enjoyed this cute book! The characters, especially the twins and the aunt, made it unforgettable. The soul food dinner and puppy scenes were my favorites – so hilarious! I found myself laughing out loud and even feeling a bit mortified for the characters. Excited to see what unfolds in the next book. Big thanks to NetGalley for the ARC! 📚🌟
