I started this book last week and had to put it down for the rest of the week. I started it back up last night and was nervous I was going to forget everything I read before. But that was not the case. Although this book has a lot of characters it’s good at reminding the reader who someone is in the story and dividing their perspectives into digestive and easy to follow along parts. The story was super interesting, I really enjoyed this a lot.

3.5🌟
Perfectly titled! A question I had to continually ask myself…who am I to believe?

This book was filled with a delicious abundance of:
♦️characters
♦️backstabbing partners
♦️murders
♦️shocking twists

Told from multiple points of view. Yes, everyone got to tell their side of the story.
Even the dog Harper had a chance to tell her side of things! Loved that.
But with all those separate views, comes a bit of repetition. Hard to get around that.

I did enjoy the large cast of narrators.
Though there was one that had a cadence that distracted from the storytelling.
Also...a male narrator was used to represent Harper, even though she was a female?🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d been curious about this author for some time. Glad I finally had the opportunity to pick up one of his books. Well, audio in this case. I declare myself a new fan, and will definitely be reading and/or listening to more of his works!

Thank you to NetGalley and RB Media

The synopsis of this audiobook caught my eye and thereafter, the location. I have grown to love New England through visits in recent years and while this helped with visualisation, I would not have need it because the story (and narrations) transported me there in it's on point realism and description

The multiple pov's and narrators took me aback for a moment but really brought the story to life in a stunning, but also chilling way. It was just so well done. The listener is transported through every emotion, every possible weapon in a bullies arsenal, and an extensive litany of possibilities arise

The narrative twisted and turned like a viper and I was gripped throughout

This is an absolute corker and I highly recommend it

Thank you very much to NetGalley for the incredible audiobook. The review is left of my own volition

This thriller was a hidden gem! Very entertaining and gripping from the beginning. One of Those books where everyone is kind of bad, but you still aren't sure whodunit. I enjoyed the narration and devoured the book quickly. Would recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book.

I loved this. It was a wild ride from start to finish. I loved all of the POVs in this book and felt like they all added to the story and suspense. Being able to slowly learn what’s going on as each POV shift occurred and being able to put pieces together was really amazing.

I liked that this audiobook has multiple narrators. It made it easier to keep track of all the characters. I think it also showcased a bit of each characters personality. I loved that all of the characters in the story were connected by a shared secret in some way. I think people will enjoy trying to figure it out.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of the audiobook, in exchange for a review:

aught within the intricate narrative, I found myself entwined in a captivating dance of diverse perspectives. The mystery, veiling the question of whom to believe, injected a thrilling pulse into the unfolding story. Each viewpoint, intricately crafted, compelled me into a perpetual state of questioning as the narrative gracefully unfolded.

Submerged in the tale, I felt ensnared in a labyrinth of uncertainty, each perspective weaving its own thread into the complex fabric of the plot. The journey surpassed mere storytelling; it was an expedition through a realm where ambiguity and revelation intertwined, imprinting a lasting impression on my understanding of trust and deception.

As the narrative progressed, the characters became vivid entities, each carrying the weight of their perspective. This immersive exploration brought forth a spectrum of emotions, ranging from anticipation to revelation, shaping my connection to the unfolding saga. It wasn't just a story; it was an odyssey through the intricacies of human perception, leaving an indelible mark on the essence of my experience.

UPDATED Review:
I was able to get the complete audio file, and HOLY SMOKES! I LOVED having the book broken down into the 6 different POVs. Sometimes when authors do this, you get repetitive information. Not so here. Each perspective picked up from different places in the story, gradually adding on with more information.

A clergy, a therapist, the lover, the friend, the child, and the dog.
I truly enjoyed the suspense of this story, never would have guessed who the murderer was. I thought the way that the story was played out was fantastic.
________
Who to Believe has a great opening, a suspensful middle…. And I can’t tell you about the end because the audio file I received was incomplete. Only 5 hours were included and I’m assuming there is more, as there is no way a book would just end like that. Plus I only made it through 3 of the narrators.

If I get the rest, I will be sure to update my review.

Thanks to NetGalley and RB Media for this arc in return for my honest opinion.

My Rating: 4.5

I received an advance review copy of the audiobook Who to Believe by Edwin Hill from NetGalley and Recorded Books Media in exchange for feedback. Thank you!

I loved this book! It was one of the best uses of multiple POVs that I’ve read in a while. Not only were all of the narrators great, each character given a POV was compelling and genuinely interesting. I really liked having sections for each narrator rather than alternating back and forth.

I also thought this book had great world-building, especially for a thriller, where I think that can sometimes be overlooked. Maybe it’s because I grew up in a coastal New England town, but I felt very immersed in Monreith.

I would recommend this book to fans of the domestic thriller, particularly those who’ve enjoyed Seraphina Nova Glass and Tana French. I definitely plan to read more Hill!

The structure was unique and should have worked but somehow didn't. It all became confusing, quickly.

Overall Review (spoilers)

A small-town thriller novel where everyone has secrets, even the dog. Told through multiple perspectives, we find out who committed the murder, why everyone is a suspect, and why you can never really trust anyone fully. While the concept was that novel, it did take me a while to figure out who did it, so I do enjoy that the air of mystery was kept. I also like the way that the multiple POVs did not job from each person, but that we got pieces of the puzzle through everyone’s story line being told out fully. I recommend this book if you love thrillers and murder mysteries.

This neighborhood/domestic thriller is written in multiple points of view. The relationships in this neighborhood are messy to say the least. This story involves several couples, a daughter, a son, and 2 murders (possibly more…)

I really loved this book. I thought the character development was spot on and loved the multiple points of view, especially that last one 😉.

My only dislike was the amount of infidelity going on. It went a tad too far in that department and should’ve had at least one couple who was faithful to each other. This deducted a half star for me, but I’m rounding up to 5 stars.

The narrators in this audiobook were great and I’m so thankful that each character had their own voice. It made the storyline so much easier to understand.

Who To Believe is an interesting domestic thriller set in a small New England coastal town. The story is told from different POVs with each one bringing a new perspective to the murder of a local woman. I really enjoyed the way the story was told, where you get another layer of what happened with each POV. The audiobook has different narrators for the different characters which helped with keeping track of the different POVs.

I highly recommend this audiobook to readers who love a domestic thriller full of secrets and twists!

This was a unique book with many plot twists.

Unfortunately I found this book difficult to follow with the 7 narrators. I did not connect with any of the characters, which also affected my engagement. I found the book to be repetitive at times.

Thank you to author, publisher, NetGalley for advanced audio copy. This is an honest voluntary review.

Thank you to NetGalley, RB Media & Edwin Hill for an audio arc of Who to Believe in exchange for an honest review.

I started the audio for this one and almost DNF'd it at the very beginning. It didn't seem like what I was thinking it would be. So, I paused it and looked at the synopsis again. Ok, so it WAS what I was thinking it was - it just started out differently.

I am glad that I did not DNF it because I ended up REALLY enjoying it! Each section is told from the POV of a different character. It most cases, it would cover the same amount of time with each person, we would just see it from a different perspective.

When a local woman turns up murdered, the entire cast of characters is a potential culprit. But which one. That is where the various POVs come in. And along the way, some of these characters meet their own end.

There really weren't any huge twists, but nonetheless, I really enjoyed playing along and trying to figure out "whodunit."

This was a sold 4-Star read that I will happily recommend.

Wow wow wow. Thank you Netgalley and Edwin Hill for this amazing twisted and captivating read. Told from multiple points of view, you learn everyone's secrets and still you won't be able to guess who to believe! Each narrator is completely unreliable so if youre looking for a "hooked from the start", "strap in it's going to be a bumpy ride" kind of book, read this. As a side note, the voice actors for the audiobook were amazing!
