Mareka’s and Caye’s story was a fun read. Take it to the beach next time you go. Look forward to the next book by this author.

Caye is a handsome, alpha billionaire, and Mareka is his European personal assistant. Mareka has a crush on Caye, who seems aloof and cold due to his difficult relationship with his parents. Mareka, too, is struggling with parents who seem indifferent to her. When a situation arises requiring Caye to enter into a fake marriage to inherit his grandfather’s business, he surprises everyone by choosing Mareka over his usual Argentinean fake fiancée, Octavia PA. The catch: to inherit the company, he must have a wife. Throughout the story, Caye seems distant and uninterested in Mareka, while Mareka finds herself falling harder for him with each passing day. The big question is whether Caye will eventually admit his feelings for Mareka. Will their marriage stay a fake arrangement, or will it transform into a real one with genuine love and commitment? This is a fun, fast-paced read that has a good mix of drama, conflict, bad parents, beautiful settings, steamy romance, engaging characters, and a plot that kept me hooked.

The book is about a reluctant PA and her ultra rich boss enter into a fake marriage agreement. Prior to the arrangement, they once shared a fleeting moment in time that was never acted upon. It was also never forgotten. Caye is a sexy alpha billionaire and Mareka is his European PA. Mareka has a crush of Caye who seems to be uncaring and heartless all due to his parents. Mareka is vying for the love her parents who seem to care nothing for her. An event happens and instead of Caye entering into a fake marriage with his Argentina fake fiancée Octavia PA he instead enters into a fake marriage with Mareka to inherit his grandfather’s business. As usual there is a stipulation in order to inherit the company he has to have a wife. At times Caye seemed distant and uncaring for Mareka and Mareka was falling hard for Caye with each passing day.

I enjoyed reading about the romantic journey of Caye and Mareka and I am looking forward to reading more the authors work. This is an entertaining quick read, that has its share of drama, conflict, bad parents, great scenic places, steamy romance, great characters and plot that held me captive. Can and will Caye admit his feelings for Mareka, will there marriage continue to be fake or will it venture into being a real marriage in all aspects?

I received an ARC via NetGalley and Harlequin Romance and Harlequin Presents and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

I wish I could say that I liked the book more than I did, but I simply can't.

The writing is good. The flow is good. The plot is cohesive. There is no doubt about the strength of the writer to craft a story. It had potential.

Unfortunately, it missed the mark on romance. Neither character was particularly compelling, and at times, annoying. But they were cruel to each other, and he was not a great guy. I didn't find the supposed love between them believable, nor did feel anything when the happily ever happened. It required a bit of a suspension of belief, to be sure.

Know that I don't like criticizing authors, I know they pour a lot into a book. Any other genre, and this might have worked better.

I received an advance copy through Net Galley from Harelquin Romance for an honest review.

Quick Summary: A fake marriage romance

My Review: Accidentally Wearing the Argentinian's Ring by Maya Blake is book #1 in the Diamonds of the Rich and Famous series. It is associated with the Harlequin Presents line.

About the Book: A rather reluctant PA and her ultra rich boss enter into a fake marriage agreement. Prior to the arrangement, they once shared a fleeting moment in time that was never acted upon. It was also never forgotten. Now that they find themselves in even closer proximity to each other, it's only a matter of time before...

My Final Say: I loved this story. From the beginning, it pulled me in. I was simply waiting for each of the characters to catch up with their heart's desires. I would heartily recommend this HP read.

Other: Readers who like workplace romances with a dash of zesty chemistry will enjoy this story.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Presents for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I really enjoy these quick reads, they have a little spice and are usually in interesting places. Is this realistic? No but who cares. I enjoyed the characters. Mareka and Caye both have pretty horrible parents, but yet they have found a way to better themselves. Seemed like they were rarely together after the wedding. But still I enjoyed it. 4 stars

It held my full attention from start to finish, and these days, that's a feat, because it's hard finding a book that doesn't have some slow moving--or boring--parts. This book is exciting and a great page turner. The book had me hooked for hours. The main characters keep you entertained and guessing on whats going to happen next.
The plot is really great. I read Harlequin because these books tend to deliver with its uber alpha heroes and satisfying angst. And they're never overlong.
