Leo and Diane have been married for fifteen years and have twin ten year old boys. Diane works as a medical professional and dotes on her two sons. Leo is an estate agent, drives a Porsche car and enjoys his life but ignores his wife and sons, Diane knows that Leo has had many affairs but tolerates this for the sake of the family. But Leo is hiding plenty of secrets. One day the boys had been playing in the park but only one of them came home. The other boy appeared to have been kidnapped. Then when a text and a picture arrives from one of the women that Leo had been sleeping with it seems that all the family is in danger and Leo’s life is shattered. The book is written from multiple points of view and is full of secrets, lies, cheating and revenge. A gripping read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
As always, Trope’s thriller kept me on the edge of my seat! I read the book in one setting. I loved hating Leo, he was just too easy to hate! And I loved loving Diana. Trope’s characters have complex feelings and the plot is making the reader doubt every character! Who is the villain? Who is hiding behind a fake name, a fake life? What secrets are coming slowly to the surface?
An incredible thriller, I recommend His Double Life and all of Nicole Trope others thrillers!!
A twisty and satisfying page-turner and a good cautionary tale about the dangers of infidelity. Well written and highly recommended.
A great read
Love this ladies books
And this one didn't disappoint
Will have you gripped from the first page till the last
Thanks NetGalley
I'm a huge fan of Nicole Trope! Just like her previous books, this will keep you on the edge of your seat! I could not put it down! What a suspenseful storyline! Such a page turner! This is a must read!
"‘If you want your child to come home, your husband needs to tell the truth.’ My hand trembles as I stare at the anonymous text. On this sunny Saturday morning, our twin ten-year-old boys were playing in the park just down our tree-lined street. But only one of them has come home… and it’s all my husband’s fault. I race to Leo’s study and demand answers. As his face turns white, I know: one of his affairs has turned deadly. I always smell the unfamiliar perfume on his shirt. I try to pretend we are a happy family, for the sake of the children… but now, my child is in terrible danger.
Leo’s double life is destroying my family. I think I know who has my son… but I will do anything to get him back. The one thing we can’t do, is go to the police. That would tear us all apart for good. Because Leo isn’t the only person with secrets…"
Suspenseful, thrilling, love the storyline, great characters, this story kept my attention throughout the whole story, love her books. I give this book 4 stars.

I physically felt the tension and stress of having a lying husband. This book is that good! I needed to breath in and out! Its a page turner and was gripped into the story till the very end! This is an addictive book and hard to put down.
A gripping read I devoured in a day, about a family where drama follows and intrigue when one of the sons goes missing and a message follows asking the father to tell the truth. Great story with twists and turns and characters written that you love or hate!
Leo Palmer has the perfect life, a good job, a great car, a lovely wife and twin boys but it’s not enough for him. Leo engages in a sordid affair that leads to much more trouble than anyone could anticipate.
I was so hooked during “part one” of this thriller, it was so fast paced and addictive. I felt such disgust towards Leo and his life choices and lack of morals. Sadly I felt the second half was quite over written with some pacing issues. It was fun in the moment but I don’t think this is one that will stick with me.

I enjoyed this one a lot. I love all Nicole's books she's an amazing writer and storyteller. This kept me guessing till the very end. Would highly recommend this book. It would be a 5 out of 5 stars for me
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read this book.
This was an instantly gripping story with some really dislikeable people and some who earned your sympathy. I didn't like the actions that were taken and don't agree with taking revenge, especially in the way it was done in this book. All of this combined for a book I couldn't put down even while it made me feel annoyed and frustrated at the characters.
Definitely a book I'd recommend.
Not my favorite Nicole Trope unfortunately. I usually love her domestic suspense novels, but this one just really dragged for me. I didn't like any of the characters, and I felt like the story never really took off, aside from the very beginning. By the time I got to the end, I just really didn't even care. 🤷🏻♀️
My favorite Nicole Trope will always be The Boy in the Photo.
Will I read the next book Trope comes out with? Absolutely!

A wife knows her husband has secrets. When one of her twin boys goes missing and she receives a text, it is all about to hit the fan. Can they survive the secrets that unfold?
This story will have you falling down a rabbit hole of secrets and revenge.
The author wrote a truly unlikeable character in the husband. The more you read, the more you will dislike him. If you are like me, you will hope karma comes calling big and hard!
As far as the revenge aspect, all I could think was that the plan came with a heavy price.
I still don’t know how I feel about the ending. It definitely wasn’t one I expected.
Quick read and twists.
Thank you #NetGalley and #Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book.

I am a big fan of Nicole Trope, and I always get excited to read her books. I enjoyed this book, although I didn't think it was her best work. I'm looking forward to reading the next from this talented author.
Omg I slammed the door on my finger because I was so absorbed in the book. From the first page I thought there was more than just a affair going on. I had in no way prepared myself for how this story would progress.
Twists and turns galore in a story that kept me guessing . Another great book from Nicole Trope which I thoroughly recommend
Thanks to Netgalley for the chance to read this ARC
Yet another brilliant book from this author, jam packed with twists and turns. .I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more by this author..
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC
I’ve read and really enjoyed other Nicole Trope books and this one didn’t disappoint. It was full of surprises and each time I thought I had guessed what happens next I was totally wrong and there was another twist to the tale.
Leo Palmer is an estate agent in Sydney in one of the top estate agents, he drives a Porsche and seems to have everything he wants. He is married to Diana and has twin sons but he cheats on his wife while he is away at conferences. He seems to have no remorse about it or about persuading people to sell their house and agree to his terms.
Diana works hard as a medical professional and mum to two boys. One day she receives an anonymous text message and her whole world as she knows it begins to unravel.
I liked the way the book was split into chapters for each person involved and although it covered different timelines it was very clearly detailed and easy to follow. I really enjoyed this book.
Thank you the NetGalley and the publishers for an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Enjoyed this revenge themed story as everything slowly unraveled!
My first Nicole Trope book, but won't be my last.
