Business Casual is the fourth and (at least for now) final installment in the Lovelight series. I have lived each of these books and Business Casual is another wonderful addition. This is Nova and Charlie's story. Nova is opening her tattoo story and Charlie is covering for Stella and Luka while they honeymoon, and the two of them decide this seems like the right time to try a quick one-night-stand and see if it gets things out of their systems. When it doesn't, they both have to decide what that means for them, especially as Charlie is heading back to his life in New York City very soon. Just like the other stories in this series, this was romantic and emotional, heartwarming to watch Nove and Charlie grow both as individuals and in their capacity as a couple. I absolutely adored this series and can't wait to see what Borison writes next.

I hope the Lovelight Series continues forever, allowing readers to savor more of its extra sweet, swoon-worthy, delicious romance delights! Every time I start a new book in the series, I tell myself that it can't possibly exceed the others, only to realize I couldn't be more wrong. The characters in the series and their heartfelt love stories not only warm my heart but also create an urgent craving to transport into the story and become one of the Lovelight Farm characters for a life of long, peaceful happiness. This series is like a song devoted to healing your soul and a recipe for a permanent smile.

The combination of reverse grumpy meets sunshine, opposites attract, friends with benefits, and friends to lovers tropes forms a secret formula that makes this book extra entertaining, addictive, steamy, but surprisingly sentimental and genuine, just like the other books in the series.

Charlie impressively embodies a reincarnated golden retriever in human form, while his partner Nova Porter is more like a cougar or black cat who likes to show her claws, hiding behind a brooding face, sassy comments, and a rough facade to protect her heart. She's a talented tattoo artist, the youngest of four siblings, which makes her the baby of the family. She's sick of her siblings’ protective attitudes around her and is the founder of her own tattoo shop business.

I couldn't give this book less than five stars! This series is the definition of devoted addiction. If you google “swoon-worthy,” only this series' name appears on your screen. I cannot get enough of them.

Oh, I'm so sad this is the end to Lovelight Farms. Reading it was bittersweet knowing we wouldn't be getting more once this chapter was closed. I love these books so much and just want to live with these characters. I found myself smiling the whole time I was reading it. It made me so giddy. I love how hard Charlie fell from the very beginning, and I couldn't even count how many times I lol'd at his comebacks and quips. I'm in love with all of the men at Lovelight Farms, actually.
Thank you Net Galley and Berkley for the opportunity to read this book in advance in exchange for my honest review

As a FWB to lovers hater, B.K. Borison has proved once again that she can turn write any trope and make me love it!

Charlie and Nova’s relationship development and individual character arcs were a delight to read! There was a perfect combination and balance of spice and romance that didn’t feel forced rather it felt natural and cohesive. One aspect that I find is a large con of FWB to lovers is how the author portrays the romance aspect as superficial, but Borison manages to capture the adoration and affection within a physical relationship that develops into romantic.

All in all, B.K. Borison can do no wrong in my eyes!

📌“She looks like she could eat me alive. I f****** love it.”

📌“Sometimes I think you’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

📌“I take up too much space, I want to tell her. I’m loud and sometimes I don’t know how to stop talking. I’m a lot and I know that. I can’t figure out how to make myself fit, but I’m trying. I promise I’m trying.”

📌“You noticed.”
“I always notice you, Nova girl.”

And this, my friends, is how you write a fling to more. How you write a “I’m not looking for a relationship” to “I can’t let you go.” This! This the blueprint and just like Charlie, I don’t feel that deserving of this piece of literary chocolate cake. 🥹

In a scale of 1 to 10, I love Nova a billion.
I understood her struggles so well. I loved seeing her with Beckett. But most of all, I loved how being with Charlie made her more herself.

And Charlie, you sweet, sweet man. We all saw how he was with Stella (don’t even get me started on those two. I’m still hearts, rainbows and sunshine). Thoughtful, caring, brotherly. But seeing him fall… goodness, I almost felt like I was intruding on private moments not meant for my eyes 😭

Charlie with his bolstering personality.
Charlie with his insecure heart.
Some might say they’re contrary. But I see them as two sides of the same coin.

Don’t hide from me. - ah, Nova. You saw Charlie but you also saw so much more.

Thank you so much @authorbkborison @netgalley and @berkleypub for this eARC. I’m going to miss this farm a whole lot 😭

Business Casual is the fourth book of the Lovelight series of interconnected standalones. Charlie and Nova melted my heart! They decide to have a one night stand to get the other out of their system. Except it didn’t work out that way. They neither one want a relationship and Charlie knows he is only in town for a short time before he heads back to NYC to his corporate job. I loved the angst and tension with both of them fighting their feelings but are so drawn to each other. I loved the banter and little jokes between them that showed that they were growing to be more than lovers. I also loved how involved everyone in town is and getting more of the characters from the other books in the series. I’m sad to say goodbye to these amazing characters that I haven’t read yet grown to love but I’m excited to see what else this author brings us!

Nova is stressed and needs to blow off some steam. She is getting ready to open her studio and the stress is overwhelming. Flirtatious Charlie with his sharp business suits, fancy watch and handsome face might be just what she needs. A no strings attached night of passion is just what she needs. He doesn’t even live in town, so what is the harm? Unfortunately for Nova she is unaware that Charlie has agreed to stay in town to help out at Lovelight Farms for the next few weeks. will these two be able to keep it casual without catching feelings?

This is the final installment for the Lovelight Series. I have really enjoyed the series and I am sorry to see it end. This story definitely ended the series on a high note. This was one of my favorites in the series. Nova and Charlie were great characters their banter and chemistry were fantastic!!

5⭐️ I truly could not get enough of this book. I was sneaking pages in every chance I could and never wanted this book to end.

Charlie is the golden retriever & sunshine we all want in a book boyfriend. I could feel his flirtation in the pages and the tension was top notch. I wasn’t sure if I would love Nova as she is 10000% my opposite but this book just works. It’s so cute & fun & spicy.

This was an advanced read copy I received through Netgalley so it’s not going to be officially published until July 16, 2024! But this is my honest review!

Add this book to your to read list, I promise you won’t regret it! & then let me know what you thought!

Brother’s Friend/Friend’s Little Sister, Opposites Attract, Friends w/Benefits Romance!

I have LOVED every single book in this series and this one was no different. I wish I could actually visit Lovelight Farms and meet these people. 5 STARS all the way for me! I was absolutely smitten with Nova and Charlie.

These two had me hooked with their banter and chemistry. It all starts with Stella and Luka’s wedding (swoon!) and an invitation for a one night stand that goes horribly wrong. Nova wants nothing more than to avoid Charlie but he will not be ignored. Charlie was so devoted to the farm, the town and Nova. Could he be any sweeter? Every single book boyfriend has been better than the last in this series. I adore them all!

Obviously one night was NOT all they needed. It was just the beginning. The steam was so good, the banter had me cracking up and the chemistry was blush inducing. The way the entire town was invested in their relationship - I felt seen. I was one of them.

A wonderful end to a series that I wish had no end. I will honestly miss Lovelight Farms!

Going into this book, I did not realize it was part of a series. I believe it still makes a good stand-alone, but for me I think I would have connected to it and the characters more if I had read the other books first. I'm off to add them to my list. I still highly recommend for all those romance lovers out there!

This was such a good book and a great end to the series. It’s rare for me to find a character that I reminds be of myself but Charlie spoke right to my soul. I can’t recommend this book and the series enough.

I really enjoy this series. The touching family, the wonderful love stories, the intriguing challenges. Nova and Charlie. Sigh. I enjoyed them both in previous books but really liked them in this story.

Charlie, the joker, the jolly family member. Or is he? I could have read Charlie's story alone it was so interesting. Watching him progress as a human was good. Nova was so determined and a little too self-contained. Watching her change was rewarding too. Watching them fight, then not fight, their attraction was nice too. We got to see most of their families including many of the characters from previous books. In all their quirkiness.

I enjoyed the story, the progression, the characters, the entire town! What a good read. I recommend it.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! This is the final installment in the Lovelight Farm series from B.K. Borison and whew, it delivers. I loved this book - I loved the main characters and I think this was the perfect blend of funny, sweet, cozy, steamy, and romantic. Borison is great at building relationships between different people that absolutely compliment each other and make each other better. I love a grumpy sunshine trope, and this book to me does it perfectly. And lastly, the lack of a third act break up works great here - sometimes I think it makes books feel anticlimactic, but this book did it very well and I won’t say why because of spoilers. Overall I highly recommend this book to fans of Lovelight Fams (I really recommend the whole series), Borison, small town, grumpy sunshine romances.

This book healed me. I loved it so very much. This was the perfect close to the series. We get lots of glimpse at where all the previous couples are at in their lives. As far as this couple, Charlie is the biggest sweetheart and Nova was an absolute delight. Together they had such chemistry!

Beckett will continue to be my favorite of all the characters, but this book has made it into my top read of the series!

I love the couples in this series. I love the town of Inglewild. I love the heart put into these books. And I love the friends I’ve made through reading them. I’m sad it’s all over now, but I know I can return to them anytime through rereads.

I rarely DNF a netgalley review book but I'm at the point where I'm just not enjoying the story (at 34%). That said, I loved the beginning chapter - made me laugh at points and want to know more about this big family. What I didn't enjoy: the detailed steamy scenes. I don't need those and honestly, made for lots of eye rolling. I know there's an audience for this (and I'm sure they'll love this book) but I didn't. I wish Borison all the best in her writing career. Thanks to the publisher and NG for the opportunity to read it.

The chemistry and banter between Nova and Charlie was out of this world. Loved going back to Lovelight farms, seeing old characters and falling in love one more time. Great end to a great series.

Is it almost 2:30am? Yes. Did I just finish? Yes.

Am I trying really hard not to wake up my husband because of my cries? Also yes.

What a glorious trip back to Inglewild, we don't deserve this level of magic and love but I'm so glad we have it.

B.K. has such a way with making you as if you're the one coming home to this little town she's created. Charlie and Nova were so beautifully created and my heart broke (many times) for Charlie's sense of loneliness.

I'm glad you found your home Charlie. And thank you to Berkley for this opportunity.

I have loved the small town romances of Lovelight Farms! I have really been loving a black cat and golden retriever trope lately and this one was perfect! Charlie is the ultimate sunshine and Nova is definitely more of the grump! There are appearances from all the favorites! I loved the message of Charlie not needing to “tone himself down” or be who everyone else needed him to be….but Nova just loves him for all of who he is! And that just warmed my heart!

I started ducking out when Charlie said Nova smells like jasmine, paper, and ink. She … smells like …. Paper? Is that a compliment? This one lost me though when Charlie (inner monologue) said he wants to spend lazy mornings with Nova under the sheets with the kettle on and wearing nothing but socks. Socks??? Really? Pass for me, sorry.

Lovely and seasonal. I have greatly enjoyed the previous installments of this series and am happy to say that this new book lived up to the hype!
