Nova and Charlie might be opposites but boy do they have sparks! She's a tattoo artist, he's an investment banker. THey're circled one another off and on for years but now, after a wedding, they have what they think will be a one night stand. But of course it's not. This has all the trope-y (not a bad thing) vibes with a slight twist (she's the grumpy one). There's family, there's friends, there's an HEA. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. While this is the last of the series, it was more or less a standalone for me (I only read the first one) but it was fine that way. It was nice to be back at the tree farm and it's too bad there's won't be more.
Business Casual is sadly the last book in the Lovelight Farm series but also does well as a standalone book, if you so choose. It has become my favorite in the series! Charlie and Nova have the sweetest and sexiest relationship! I just love love love them. Don’t tell my mom but I think I want my body covered in tattoos so I can be as cool as Nova 😆 The banter and pining between them is perfection. If you love Stars Hollow, you will fall in love with Lovelight Farms and the phone tree, where the townspeople love getting into everyone’s business.
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
Do you ever reach the end of a series and hesitate to read the last book just because you don't want the story to end? That was me with Business Casual. I love the Lovelight farms series - every book has been cozy, lovely and swoony and I was very reluctant to reach the end of this series. Ultimately, I am very glad I moved past this and finally picked up my ARC of Business Casual - it might just be my new favorite!
Charlie and Nova are definitely my new favorite couple of this series - their banter? So freaking good. Their chemistry? Insane. Can I see them growing old together on a porch 50 years after this book? Definitely. They both had their own internal hurdles to work through, but I think that made their story all the more enjoyable and rewarding. These two were just made for each other, and their story reminded me of a classic rom com movie in the best of ways.
Charlie has been a character I haven't been able to get a great read on throughout the rest of this series and I loved how this book really explored that. His story was all about him finding himself and carving out his place in the world. It was emotional, sweet and a little too relatable at times - I really enjoyed his POV and how it explained why he was as boisterous and over the top as he was at times in the previous books.
The thing I love most about this series is how interconnected it is - it was so nice to see all the couples from the previous books as often as we did in this book. Getting to see them happy and moving forward in their lives was like the bonus extended epilogues of my dreams. Not only were they present, they helped move this story forward - a real treat for a romance reader.
If you're looking for a cozy, small town based romance series, look no further than the Lovelight Farms series! I have loved every story and it really ended on a high note! While I'm sad to be leaving these characters behind, I can't wait to do a reread and I'm looking forward to whatever BK Borison writes next!
CHARLIE AND NOVA GIRL GET ALL THE STARS. Business Casual is cute, romantic, funny, and hot, while simultaneously being super vulnerable.
Their delicious banter, full support of one another, and the seamless friend to lovers transition were highlights for me, and in true B.K. Borison fashion felt so realistic.
As if this wasn’t already going to be a five star read from me, when we got to this scene…
“I’ve never been anyone’s favorite,” he whispers.
“Well,” I say, feeling defensive. “You’re mine."
it was absolutely 1,000% locked in. This quote left me in a puddle of tears with an achy chest because I FELT THIS SO HARD.
This was an absolutely perfect conclusion to the Lovelight series and I was crying during the epilogue (I know you’re not surprised at my tears, shhh) because what a way to end this series!!!

Thank you B.K. Borison, Berkley and Netgalley for the ARC! I can’t wait for everyone to take one last trip back to Inglewild!
4.5 stars! Business Casual follows the relationship between Nova, a tattoo artist opening her own shop, and Charlie, an investment banker with an interest in the small town of Inglewood. Nova does not have time for a relationship but wants to ease some of her stress by a one-night stand with Charlie. The one night is not enough for either of them so they decide to just have a "business casual" sexual relationship with no strings attached since Charlie is just in town for the month.
The two end up spending more time than planned with each other and each develop feelings. He falls hard for her first and it takes her a while to admit her feelings. Charlie does the sweetest things for Nova even taking care of her when she's sick. I loved how they were with each other and the fun banter.
I was not expecting a found family trope but loved that for Charlie who never felt wanted by his own family. This was such a sweet and spicy book. I need to backtrack now and read the other BK Borison books about how the other characters got together.
Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This book completely blew me away and filled me with so many emotions. Nova and Charlie are IT, and I will protect them at all costs. The setting, the writing, the chemistry, the development, the relationship? TOP TIER. This is definitely going to be in my top ten books of the year.
Nova and Charlie have me completely obsessed. I felt so connected to both of their characters. Their banter and flirtyness with one another was completely captivating. I loved how different they were and yet were the perfect match, a standard for soulmates. I loved seeing them be patient, grow, and blossom with one another but also as individuals.
Nova really hit my soul as guarded and jaded but feels something missing, and Charlie wrapped around my heart as the one who seems completely put together and happy on the outside but is lonely and feels misunderstood. The character development and depth of their internal journeys were an instant hit to the heart. I proudly cried multiple times.
I not only fell in love with the characters, but I fell in love with the entire town and family too. I loved all the little gestures and the constant showing up for one another. There were so many moments that squeezed my heart. I don’t think I will ever forget how this book made me feel. Now Ill go fall in love with the rest of the series. Please add this to your TBR immediately!

Thank you Berkley and Netgalley for an early copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.
Many thanks to @berkleyromance for gifted digital copy of the final book in this fantastic series. What a treat to have it conclude with such a delightful story that highlights Charlie and Nova and brings all of the past stories full circle. Below is my honest review.
Neither Nova Porter nor Charlie Milford are looking for love, a relationship, or any strings, but their electric chemistry has been building forever. They decide that giving in to their attraction for one night could “get it out of their system,” and they can move on as friends. But that night together had the opposite effect, and with Charlie only in town for a month, what’s the harm in indulging in a little no-strings-attached fun? Over their weeks together, they open up to each other as they never have with anyone else. They begin to trust and rely on each other and ultimately discover they like seeing themselves through the other’s eyes. To Charlie, Nova isn’t the youngest sister who must be coddled and protected. To Nova, Charlie is so much more than the life of the party. Alas, hundreds of miles and drastically different lifestyles are a chasm between them unless they are honest about what they want from life.
When I delved into the first Lovelight Farms book, I not only fell for Luka and Stella, but also for the charm of this town filled with quirky, endearing misfits. Nova, Beckett’s younger sister, and Charlie, Stella’s half-brother, were intriguing side characters that I always wanted to know more about. I’m thrilled that we got to witness their heartwarming story as the grand finale of this series. They truly came to life through BK’s exquisite writing. I was also delighted to see all the beloved characters and places getting their moment to shine or take a literary bow - including the iconic phone tree! If you enjoyed the first three books (and you definitely need to read them to fully appreciate this one), I believe you’ll find this conclusion to be absolutely perfect.
The whole Lovelight Farms family is back in all their quirky small-town glory. I have to admit I listened to the first three books in the series on audiobook format and it gave me mid vibes at best. Reading instead of listening to the fourth book was a game-changer. I enjoyed it so much more.
Charlie was swoon-worthy from the beginning. He unapologetically flirts with Nova and follows her vibes. He was such a gold retriever boyfriend and I loved it. I related to his issues with feeling like an outsider and needing to feel accepted into the small town and feeling needed. I also related hard to Nova's perfectionist tendencies and the pressure she put on herself to make her family proud. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how on-point the steam was! I struggled not to read this too fast because I didn't want the story to end. There was no third-act breakup but more of a real-life conflict that comes with long-distance relationships. The grand gestures and the wrap-up of this story were so rewarding. I left this book smiling and happy with the conclusion of the series.
Read if you like Opposites Attract, Grumpy/Sunshine, Friends With Benefits, Small Town Romance. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 7/16!
I loved this! This is definitely my favorite in the entire series (even though it isn't the winter one!). Nova was so relatable and Charlie was the biggest cinnamon roll of the entire series. Their relationship was so sweet and wholesome and I appreciated that there was no extended miscommunication or stupid fights. Charlie and Nova both struggle with being honest and open about their feelings (eww, feelings) but they worked so hard on that with each other. The family and friend dynamics continue to be amazing and this final book solidified for me that I just want to exist in that town and with those people forever.
Honestly, this was the perfect way to end the series and I will definitely be picking up anything else that B.K. Borison writes.
This book was so so amazing!!! It was definitely one of my favorite reads from this year. This book had me so excited to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. The plot was amazing and the characters were so so lovable. Charlie and Nova's book was such an amazing way to conclude the Lovelight series and hopefully we can see them appearing again in any future books.

I see myself in both Charlie and Nova. They both struggle with living their life for others and putting their own desires as a secondary motivation. They come together in the cutest way and I could not stop laughing when Charlie joked about putting various tattoos on his ass 😂
Small town romance books gets me every time and I love spending time with all the characters in each book, especially Caleb and Layla (tied for my favorite couple 🤭).
So much to love about this book, and I never wanted a tattoo more 😜

Business Casual by BK Borison is the 4th book in her Lovelight series. I loved the first three books in this series, as they were wonderful sweet romances, and sad to say that this is the final book in this series. Nova Porter, our heroine, isn’t interested in looking for love, as she is concentrating on her doing the final touches of perfection within her new tattoo studio; in her hometown of Inglewild. Nova’s family has always supported her, and she worries about disappointing them.
Charlie Milford, our hero, is an investment banker in New York; but he loves constantly visiting his half-sister, Stella and her Christmas Tree Farm (Lovelight) and the residents of Inglewild. Charlie is always happy when he visits Stella; and even participates being part of the Town’s phone tree for latest gossips. Charlie has arranged to stay in Inglewild for a month, as he is sending Stella and her husband, Luka, to Italy for a month. Charlie will work with Stella's partners, as he will happily take care of Stella's duties at the farm.
Everything starts at the wedding ceremony of Stella and Luka. Charlie is a shameless flirter, and always pays close attention to Nova. After a few drinks, she willingly accepts when Charlie asks her to dance. After a bit, Nova asks Charlie to come to her house when the wedding is over. What Charlie didn’t realize, that Nova was looking for a one-night no-strings stand, and he thought she meant stopping over for snacks. Which irritated Nova and she stormed away; but a few days later, Charlie tries to explain his mistake and Nova cannot hold back her attraction to him. They decide to hook up for one night, and move on with their lives; but their explosive night together changes everything. Best laid plans do not always work, as their attraction to each other escalates.
What follows is a sweet, steamy and endearing romance relationship between Nova and Charlie, as they had awesome chemistry. I loved seeing all the fabulous characters we got to know throughout the series; such as Stella, Luka, Beckett, Evie, Layla and Caleb.
Business Casual was another fun, heartwarming, cute, sweet romance, another great couple, and terrific secondary characters that we have all come to love. I did feel that this final book was even steamier than the previous book. I adored the epilogue that was a fantastic ending to this series. Business Casual was a great series, and so very well written by BK Borison.
Business Casual is the first B.K. Borison book I’ve read, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I finished it. I’m so excited to read the other three Lovelight books, and if they’re even half as good as this then I am in for a romance treat.
I love small town romances, basically like Gilmore Girls on paper, and Business Casual absolutely fits that bill. It’s cosy, warm, and so addictive, thanks to its ridiculously likeable cast of characters and sense of community. It also has the perfect amount of spice vs. plot, not to mention some swoonworthy moments that had me re-reading paragraphs and bookmarking pages (anywhere Charlie said ‘Nova girl’… *highlight*).
This book, the fourth and last in the series (for now — please write more BKB!!), focuses on Nova and Charlie, who might just be one of my new favourite fictional couples. I LOVE them. They’re so good for each other and so good by themselves, I can’t even describe how invested in their story I was. They’re both flawed, perfect, messy, realistic, inspiring, and downright adorable when they’re in each other’s spaces. Have I mentioned I love them?!
Business Casual is an easy five star read for me, and I’m already thinking about re-reading it. It has everything I want from a romance novel and more, and B.K. Borison now has a place on my auto-buy author list. Her writing and stories are seemingly made for me, and I’m so glad I’ve finally started my Lovelight journey. I am excited!
Firstly, thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced e copy of this book. I’m so sad that this is the final book of the planned series. Charlie and Nova’s book was amazing. It was the perfect combo of first to lovers and grumpy sunshine. Charlie is the best character. Who wouldn’t want a Charlie in their life. My heart broke for Charlie in this story and his confessions of being lonely. My only complaint was Charlie’s jealous outburst at Nova’s opening. It was so out of character for him. I got what the author was attempting; it just failed. I have much hope that the author will revisit this world. Who wouldn’t want an Inglewood, even with the busy bodies.
I have become such a fan of BK Borison and her work. It all started when I was looking for a cozy Christmas read and stumbled on book 1 in this series. I was immediately charmed by the small town setting and wholesome community. I love the way BK Borison writes romance. It feels relatable and vulnerable. I was so happy with the last book in this series. I feel like these are books I’ll recommend and read again. Business Casual was such a great cherry on top of the Lovelight Farms sundae. Nova was such a relatable character for me. I love how dimensional the author makes her characters too and that we get growth throughout their story. Loved it and will officially read anything BK Borison publishes.
BK Borison did it again! I loved the visit back to Inglewild, this time with Nova and Charlie. This opposites attract, enemies to lovers, hidden romance was so funny, steamy and tender. I loved all the banter and flirting and of course cameos from beloved other characters.
5/5
The last thing Nova Porter is looking for is love, and too charming for his own good Charlie Milford threatens to break that resolve down to its measly crumbs. Whether that be trying to reel her onto the dance floor or helping her tattoo studio ahead of its opening anything related to Charlie spells trouble. However, Nova can't back down from their mutual attraction and convinces Charlie of one night to beat their feelings. But unfortunately, it doesn't do a damned thing. B.K Borison takes us back to Inglewild in this final installment that delivers on all of the steamy moments and wonderful relationships. I love the flipped grumpy sunshine couple dynamics that Borison does here with Nova as the black cat and Charlie as that overly open and sunshiny protagonist. The chemistry between these two is off the charts right from that initial scene at the wedding where Charlie is being so earnest and Nova is just freaked out by it. Charlie Milford is the book boyfriend of book boyfriends (I mean he reads historical romance? Girl marry him). Business Casual is a bittersweet farewell to Inglewild and all of the characters that have taken up so much space in my heart. Nova and Charlie bring on the tenderness and vulnerability and this series conclusion seriously hit me in the feels.
✨ARC Book Review✨
🍃Business Casual - B.K. Borison🍃
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️.5
When I was approved for the ARC of Business Casual I was so excited! I’ve genuinely enjoyed the whole Lovelight series and was looking forward to reading about Charlie and Nova. This book did not disappoint! It was so fun to see the entirety of the Lovelight characters in the story.
But let’s talk about Charlie and Nova. We have seen snippets of both of them in books 1-3 but they really shined in this one and I loved them both so much! You have Nova who is spunky, creative and covered in tattoos. And then you have Charlie who is all suit and ties and spreadsheets. Yet together they worked so well and really balanced one another out! Not to mention the chemistry 🥵 it was perfect.
I LOVED this book and it actually may be my favorite one of the series! If you haven’t read this series yet I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!
Would recommend if you like:
🍃Small town romance
🍃Secret Relationship
🍃Opposites attract
🍃His friends little sister
This one comes out 7/16 so mark your calendar!
✨A huge thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this one early in exchange for my honest review! ✨
Obsessed!! Small town swoon worthy at its best. I binged this on the plane and it was such a good and quick read. The characters, the town, the family was all such an amazing combo throughout the entire book. I definitely recommend and it’s perfect for summer time in my opinion.
Definitely the most satisfying of the series. Nova and Charlie grew together so easily, so naturally. Their unfolding relationship was messy and a joy to behold.
