Business Casual is a fantastic conclusion to the Lovelight Farms series. BK Borison takes beloved characters and gives them a believable and steamy HEA while highlighting all the details that make Inglewild a special place.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nova Porter is trying to get her tattoo studio ready to open and certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. Investment banker Charlie Milford lives in NYC, but seems to always be visiting Inglewild, and the pair has bantered back and forth for years. So when Nova dances with Charlie at his sister Stella’s wedding, she asks him for one night together. No pressure, no strings, just a chance to get whatever “this” is out of their systems. But after their sizzling night together, and with Charlie staying in Inglewild for the next month, it’s clear that just one night won’t do the trick.
I absolutely adore Nova and Charlie. Their quips and banter are a delight, and the perfect complement to their steamy chemistry. But they both have a lot more going on, from Charlie’s people pleaser tendencies and his desire to fit in, to Nova’s internal expectations for her new business venture. Migraine and ADHD rep also enhance their story.
Inglewild is also a character in this book, and is the reason this series is so well loved. It’s the ideal fictional small town, where everyone is a bit quirky and in each other’s business via the famous phone tree, but they all mean well. An added bonus here is lots of time with Beckett from In the Weeds. As Nova’s older brother and Charlie’s friend, he’s important to the plot, and getting to spend time with one of my favorite characters is a special treat.
Business Casual is the perfect finale to a wonderful small town romance series. If you are a fan of opposites attract, “just one night to get it out of our system,” and tons to heat and banter, you’ll adore this story. I’m sad to say goodbye to Inglewild, but I can’t wait to read what BK Borison writes next.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Charlie and Nova <3 this book was bittersweet because I know its closing out the last Lovelight Farms book. But its the perfect romance with all the gold retriever feels!!

This is BY FAR my favorite book in the Lovelight Farms series. Ever since Stella and Luka's book, Charlie caught my eye because of his funloving, charming nature. Although I just knew there was something underneath his carefree facade.
Business Casual explored the depths of Charlie's mind and B.K. did a wonderful job of showing that even the most seemingly happy people can actually be very lonely. I really enjoyed Charlie's journey of learning that he doesn't have to put on such a brave face and sacrifice some of his happiness for the sake of keeping others afloat.
Now onto Nova. She's everything I wish I could be! Hard-working, driven, and knows exactly what she needs when she needs it. She and Charlie were a perfect balace with each other! Not to mention I already booked a tattoo appointment because her numerous tattoos and parlor opening really had me itching to get another.
This was so well written and I genuinely couldn't put it down. Charlie and Nova had me kicking my feel and smiling like no other.
Thank you to B.K. and Berkley for this ARC! It was an absolute pleasure visting Inglewild for the last time :)

Reading this book was bitter sweet because I know that its the last of the Lovelight series from Borison but what a way to end it. I was so excited that Charlie is finally having his time to shine and I think this just might be my favourite book in the series. The TENSION between Charlie and Nova is literally to die for and seeing our old friends little cameos was a welcomed suprise. Aside form the steamy pages, this book also had me literally laughin out loud. There's really something for everyone in this grumpy x sunshine masterpiece.

A sweet and satisfying finale to the Lovelight Farms series, 'Business Casual' charts the relationship between tattoo artist Nova, commitment-shy due to the overwhelming amount of work required to start her first independent tattoo studio, and businessman Charlie, commitment-shy because of a deep disbelief that anyone could really want him to stay forever. Their romance starts as friends-with-benefits, then progresses to a stronger connection. With endearing characters and not much conflict, this one goes down easy.
Many thanks to Berkley and NetGalley for the eARC.

Charlie and Nova are officially my new favorite Lovelight Farms couple.
Nova is a tattoo artist trying to prove to herself and her big brother, Beckett, that she can make a success out of her new tattoo studio. Charlie is Stella’s only brother and a man in finance with loads of charm. He flirts endlessly with Nova but is extremely flustered when the usually reserved Nova proposes a one-night stand and inadvertently hurts her feelings.
Once Charlie convinces Nova to give him another chance, they agree to spend one night together - “to get it out of their system” - and promise that there will be no feelings involved and that neither is looking for anything serious. Obviously, one night is not enough and soon they’re in a secret, no strings attached relationship.
Charlie and Nova try to fool themselves into thinking that they can keep their arrangement strictly physical and remain just friends. However, their banter, their chemistry, the endless flirting, their acts of service for one another, and their obvious growing feelings would beg to differ.
Charlie and Nova were a bit stubborn and too scared to take a risk, but I loved when they finally admitted to themselves what everyone else already knew; they were in love. Their confessions were the best and completely worth the wait.
Business Casual was the final book in the Lovelight Series and it was a perfect ending to a wonderful series. I have to admit, I'm going to miss them.

An adorable Lovelight romance yet again! My only qualm (which has nothing to do with the writing) is that my elderly next door neighbor has a dog named Nova 🤣🙈 but the story was lovely, Charlie was a fun character to explore. Nothing will ever beat Luka and Stella, but these two were a great time!

Omg! The 4th of the love light series!! I adored this book SO much! I had a hard time putting it down. In fact I put it in my kindle and was showing and reading it..( don’t tell anyone.) It’s that good!
Nova and Charlie forever! <3

saying goodbye to lovelight farms was so bittersweet but I also could not dream of a better ending to this little universe. I devoured the first three books of lovelight farms back in 2022, and while its strange to jump back in to this world so much later, it also had a magical way of making me feel like I never left. I don't know exactly what I expected of Charlie and Nova but this book surpassed anything I could've ever wanted from them. Charlie especially took me by surprise in the best possible way. I did not expect to relate SO much to the loud 6'4 himbo we knew from the previous books but he tugged on every single one of my heart strings. This book made me incredibly emotional in ways I was not expecting and I just want to wrap Charlie in my arms and tell him everything is going to be okay. Nova truly and completely sees Charlie and Charlie sees Nova. And they get to be their whole selves with each other in a way they never have been and it was completely and utterly beautiful and swoony and moving and while I never want to say goodbye, I also cannot wait to see what BK does next.

Everything I wanted more in the Lovelight Series finale.
Tooth-achingly sweet, Charlie and Nova's love story is one for the ages. It is the black cat x golden retriever, let's do this once to get it out of our systems, allergic to love --> in love romance of everyone's dreams. A book I want to read and reread forever. A book I won't shut up about!

I am speechless and still trying to gather my thoughts on reading the final installment in the Lovelight Farms standalone series, Business Casual. I fell so in love with Inglewild and every single one of these characters, it’s been hard to say goodbye.
I was so lucky to get an ARC of Business Casual through NetGalley, I couldn’t believe it when I got approved! I quickly read through the first half of the book, but then I stopped because I wasn’t ready for it to be over.
Nova Porter wasn’t *looking* for a man in finance, trust fund, 6’5 with blue eyes, but she sure found one in Charlie! The TENSION these two have right through until the very end is incredible (and it isn’t even a slow burn!). If you love Brother’s Best Friend, Grumpy x Sunshine, Goldren Retriever MMC, Friends with Benefits to Lovers and Found Family tropes, this one is for you!
While Business Casual wasn’t my favourite of this series (the first novel, Lovelight Farms was, because it reminded me the most of my personal love story💕) this book and Charlie and Nova have my entire heart. I was giddy and kicking my feet to so many parts!
Of course I also love that we get to revisit all of our favourite characters from the previous three Lovelight Farms books, Stella and Luka, Beckett and Evelyn, Layla and Caleb🌲👨🏼🌾🥧. This book was the perfect ending to my favourite romance series. Thank you BK Borison for bringing us into this beautiful world of yours!
Business Casual is out July 16th, make sure to keep an eye out! And catch up on reading the first three books if you haven’t already!

I really have enjoyed this series of books, set in a small town with recurring characters. Small town, big city people thrown in, enough men in plaid to make you happy and a spice level for all to enjoy. I look forward to new books in the series.
I will say that Book 2, chapter 1 gave me ALL the emotional feels, not just the spice ones.
I really like new covers too.

Don't you just love when two people circle each other for most of the series and then finally get a book of their own?
Business Casual is Charlie and Nova's story. The two have appeared in the previous three Lovelight books, but this is finally their story! Charlie and Nova are the perfect grumpy-sunshine couple--but with the FMC as the grump!--but the story really explores what makes each of them tick. Nova is opening her own tattoo studio but is scared to not be "perfect," while Charlie fears that his larger-than-life personality makes him unlikeable. Borison does a good job of digging into both characters' insecurities and helping them work through their fears together, which makes their relationship that much sweeter. And as you'd expect from a love story in Inglewild, there's plenty of meddling, secrets, and small-town silliness to keep things extra interesting.
The adorable nicknames, the final act that doesn't involve the dreaded miscommunication trope, and the top-notch spicy scenes make this not only a wonderful story for Charlie and Nova but also a wonderfully satisfying conclusion to the Lovelight series.

Thank You Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the final book in a four-book series. This is the first book I have read by this author, and it can be read as a stand-alone.
The small-town vibes are 100% all over this series. All the cute homey feelings and the community involvement check all the boxes for a small town read. I really love the “phone tree” concept and thought it was so funny everyone’s antics.
I really enjoyed all the romcom situations from this book. The characters are so funny and sweet. The story starts off spicy and is consistent in the spice department throughout.
The character development was great in this story. It is a fine line between smut and good plot. This author did well in both categories. Charlie’ ending had this reader so proud of him and genuinely happy for him.
I will definitely read the rest of this series and am excited to further dive into this world!

"Business Casual" OMG you gotta read it! It's the perfect summer rom-com - like Hallmark but with a bit more spice
The main characters, Nova and Charlie, are awesome. Nova is this cool, tattooed girl who's opening her own shop and Charlie is this sweet, golden retriever type who's always there for his friends. They have a one-night-stand-turns-into-more situation and it's both hilarious and swoony. Plus there's this whole small-town vibe with a fun cast of characters. If you're looking for a feel-good escape, this is it! I love everything that B.K. Borison writes and this book was no exception. I highly recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for my advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

When I requested Business Casual, I didn't realize that it is the fourth book in the Bookstagram beloved Lovelight Farms Series. Shortly after that, the second title, In the Weeds, went on sale, so I read that first to get a feel for the series. After these two, I'm definitely going to read books 1 & 3. The downside was that I actually didn't take to the Porter sisters when they were introduced in In the Weeds and once I made the connection between the book and the copy for Business Casual, I was skeptical because Nova, Nessa, and Harper just seemed... off. I didn't appreciate the way the sisters seemed to not care about Beckett's feelings, insist that he attend events that he doesn't want to, or don't make enough of an effort to accommodate him (Beckett doesn't do well in loud, boisterous situations, and while the family eventually offers him earmuffs to muffle the sound, they do nothing to not CREATE the sound issues that he's having when he sees the family), and were a little too involved in his love life. Nova as an individual seems to tattoo Beckett will-nilly without him really having a choice. I was concerned. That being said, the reality of Business Casual blew me away.
When Charlie surprises his sister with a month-long honeymoon, he also offers to stay in Inglewild, Maryland to run her Christmas Tree farm while she's gone. He and Nova decide to embark on a no-strings fling while he's in town to ease the tensions from her impending parlor opening. As we all know, that doesn't work out as they expect. This book is so much sweet pining, mostly from Charlie. He falls first and hard. He's had eyes for Nova all along and once he got a hold of her, he doesn't want to let go. Nova on the other hand keeps insisting that she's keeping it light, but she finds herself growing more and more attached despite her fear that a relationship means giving up her freedom.
Both Nova and Charlie seem to suffer from deep-seated imposter issues and handle it in wildly different ways. Nova pushes herself to be perfection as she prepares to open her own individual tattoo parlor. She has her heart shielded in bubble wrap to prevent herself from feeling too much for anyone outside of her family. She fears that her family's, particularly Beckett's, pride in her is undeserved and as a result, she overworks herself in an effort to prove to herself what everyone else already sees. Charlie pretends to be a light, joking, goofball because he doesn't think that the citizens of Inglewild really like him. As much as he wants to belong, he worries that they just put up with him, and as a result, he does his best to make sure everyone around him is happy and having a good time in hopes that they keep him around. In doing so, Charlie greatly diminishes the true joy he brings people, can't see how much they value him, and as Nova puts it, makes himself small.
I love. love, LOVED, the very Stars Hollow aspects of Inglewild such as town hall meetings, a town phone tree that's misappropriated for gossip and matchmaking, a close-knit vibe that lends itself to almost the whole town showing up for one member's wedding, and more. The Lovelight Farms books are indeed super cozy and emotional. I can;t wait to double back and read the others.

This was the perfect finale to the Lovelight series and my favorite as well. It had me grinning like an idiot and kicking my feet over how cute the interactions and banter is between Nova & Charlie. One of my top reads of the year.

Am I crying because this is the last book of the Lovelight series? Yes, yes, I am.
Imma miss these sweet folks so damn much.
If you want to read a book with golden retriever hero and grumpy tattoo artist heroine (the absolute perfect combination of opposites attract, amiright?) with a huge dose of "This is one night. We'll get it out of our systems and everything will go back to normal, yeah?" (but of course, that does not work, because does it ever? ... nah!), this book is it for you.
Bonus points to BK for absolutely giving us the most perfect ending to Lovelight. While the series is over, my love for these people will forever go on.

It's always hard to say goodbye to a place that you love, especially when it's a place like Lovelight Farms. I have loved this series from the very beginning and Business Casual is the most perfect ending to this series.
I absolutely adored Nova and Charlie's story. Nova is a badass, tattooed heroine who doesn't take shit from anyone (especially Charlie). Charlie is funny and doesn't take himself too seriously. He shows up big for the people he cares about.
💬 "I’m a people pleaser, through and through, and it doesn’t matter that the person I’m trying to please is an asshole. All my brain recognizes is the itchy, uncomfortable feeling of disappointment."
Usually I find pieces of myself in characters, but very rarely do I so deeply relate to both of the main characters, which made this book incredibly special to me. A perfectionist at heart, Nova just wants to prove her worth and make her brother proud. People pleaser Charlie does things for others so he doesn't take up too much space, yet he yearns for a place to belong.
While the pair start off on the wrong foot, they have a get it out of our systems arrangement that morphs into a keep it casual arrangement, which turns into anything but casual. Neither wants a relationship. I loved how naturally they fell in love with each other. And the tattoo? Perfection.
Business Casual gave me everything I love about this series, especially the phone tree and all its antics. This was the perfect ending to the series and I cannot wait to see what B.K. Borison writes next!

A big thank you to Berkley and Netgalley for the free arc in exchange of an honest review! I was absolutely giddy after receiving an approval of my first B.K. Borison book in this series after reading all the shouting about how fabulous this series is.
Business Casual is the first book I have read in the series and I’m excited I get to return to the small town of Inglewild for the first three books in the series. This book had previous characters but they were introduced so well I felt like I instantly knew them. Business Casual can be read as a standalone but why would anyone miss out on this entire fabulous series.
From the first page, B.K. Borison had me hooked! I was scream laughing out loud at the ridiculousness of the banter between Nova and Charlie. It was sheer perfection!
Nova is Beckett’s sister who is a bad ass tattoo artist and Charlie is an investment banker who is charming and oh so sweet. They each are battling their own insecurities and neither of them are looking for a relationship. But Nova is distracted by Charlie every time she is around him and offers up a proposition of one night together with no strings attached. Can friends with benefits have just one night?
Nova are Charlie are such relatable characters. I enjoyed watching their journey grow from friendship, overcoming their insecurities and falling in love. Their chemistry was off the charts!
Nova and Charlie absolutely pulled at my heartstrings. I have a feeling each and every book in this series will leave me wanting to read everything from this fabulous author.
