I ADORED Nova and Charlie’s story! Charlie’s a city boy who lives for his trips to Lovelight Farms. Nova is the local tattoo artist of the small town. I love an opposites attract romance, and a good “surely a one night stand will get this out of our system” hits every time.

This was a really beautiful end to a series I loved, and I would encourage others to read them in order to get the full impact!

charlie is a walking green flag😭im down bad for him. he’s so thoughtful and golden retriever AHH. the way he puts everyone else before himself and how our girl nova teaches him to love himself💕nova is also just such an admirable fmc. i feel like i can relate to her people pleasing tendencies and charlie swoops in and shows her how to put herself first! match made in heaven tbh. i also really enjoyed the small town trope it was done SO SO WELL. literally stars hallow.

The love I have for Charlie and Nova knows no bounds. He’s a cocky flirt with a big heart and she’s a loveable badass

This series is one of my favourites, a true comfort read, and Business Casual was the perfect addition to round it off.

Business Casual is two people coming together because they absolutely understand each other. It’s for the people pleasers who spread themselves thin, overthink, and feel they have something to prove and live up to (even when they don’t). I felt seen by Charlie’s desire to make everything work for everyone he loved, and Nova’s need for perfection to not disappoint the people who care about her the most.

It’s wholesome and sweet but also so horny and I was so here for it!!

Such a fun and light read!!

(I got an ARC of this through NetGalley, it will be out on July 16, 2024.) This is the last book in the Lovelight Farms universe, but you don’t have to have read the others to enjoy this one. Nova has been working hard to get her tattoo shop ready to open in her small town of Inglewild – she wants everything to be absolutely perfect, and doesn’t want to let anyone down. Charlie, an investment banker from the city, is staying in town to help take over his sister’s business while she’s on her honeymoon. Charlie has always been flirty with Nova, and Nova decides that what they really need is to “get it out of their system,” just once! (Has that ever worked??) It’s a cute story, and Inglewild reminds me of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls – every character is so much fun, and the small-town vibes are perfect.

Another wonderful book from BK Borison and the final instalment in the Lovelight series. Absolutely an incredible read that I already want to reread. This is truly the best small town romance series I've read and Charlie and Nova were such a great couple to read about. So much emotion is woven through this story. It was incredible.

I seriously love this series & need more of Lovelight Farms in my life! These books give all the feels plus just enough spice.

I think I’ve found a new author for my "always-read" list! I absolutely loved the entire Lovelight Farms series. This book is sweet, romantic, and, despite the dirty looks my friends might give me, it can absolutely be read as a standalone. (Fellow book lovers, don’t be such purists—the story holds up perfectly well on its own, you boogers.)

It’s got just the right amount of steam, depth, and the cozy charm of a Hallmark movie (think small-town vibes and a freaking Christmas tree farm) without feeling cliché. The characters are complex, flawed, and incredibly likable. Plus, I ALWAYS appreciate a reverse grump-and-sunshine dynamic!

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for the advanced reader's copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Such a cute read! Charlie & Nova 🌶️🌶️ Charlie was the perfect golden retriever type guy to match Novas black cat vibes. The secrecy, the spice… sign me up! I had so much fun reading this one. I started this series of books by BK Borison because of the book covers but each story has captured my heart. This cozy read was my favorite so far.

Thank you, Berkley Publishing Group for this super cute read.

Business Casual is a delightful and heartwarming conclusion to the Lovelight series, centering on the story of Charlie, Stella’s half-brother, and Nova, Beckett’s youngest sister.

In the previous book, we saw Charlie frequently visiting Inglewild, seemingly drawn to Nova and assisting her with her tattoo studio. But is Nova the only reason for his visits, or is there something more? Business Casual provides the answers.

Nova is busy establishing her tattoo studio in Inglewild, with her schedule packed and an opening party on the horizon. She’s not looking for a relationship, but Charlie’s frequent presence and undeniable charm become a distraction. She convinces herself that one night with Charlie might be enough to get him out of her system

As a wedding gift to Stella, Charlie sends her on a month-long vacation to Italy, promising to manage her farm while she’s away. Now that he’s in town for a month, he seizes the opportunity to spend more time around Nova. He agrees to her one-night proposal.

What begins as a one-night stand soon evolves into no strings attached casual relationship, something akin to friends with benefits and that quickly deepens to much more.

I loved getting to know Charlie better in this book. Throughout the series, he’s been a secondary character—a fun-loving, always-happy guy and an amazing brother to Stella. But this book reveals more about him, and now I love him even more.

He’s caring, observant, and selfless, always helping others and spreading joy. Yet, we also see his vulnerable side, particularly when it comes to his toxic relationship with his narcissistic father. It was heartbreaking to see how deeply this affected him—how he felt undeserving of anything without earning it and how taking something he wanted felt selfish to him.

I especially enjoyed how Inglewild brought out the best in Charlie, alleviating the loneliness of his New York life. Being with Nova helps him realize that he’s nothing like his father, that he deserves good things, and that he belongs in Inglewild—with Nova.

Nova is smart, funny, but reserved, often refusing help from her family and friends. She struggles with imposter syndrome, feeling like she hasn’t earned what she has, including her tattoo studio. She’s particularly anxious about showing the studio to Beckett, her first-ever customer, fearing she’ll disappoint him.

It was lovely to see her getting over her feelings, learning to have faith in herself and above all it was amazing how being with Charlie made her realize relationships are not distraction or she wouldn’t lose herself if she had a relationship.

The romance between Charlie and Nova is a captivating blend of opposites attract, secret relationship, and sizzling chemistry. Their flirty banter is delightful, and there are many memorable moments between them. Some of my favorites include their pizza and movie night, the time Charlie cares for Nova when she has a migraine, and when Charlie finally gets his tattoo.

Like all previous book Inglewild and its people once again shines as heart of the story. It was heartwarming to see how they embraced Charlie, making him a part of their close-knit community from the very beginning of the series. This meddling town and its phone tree once again conspired to bring the couple together and yet gave them enough time to get to their senses on their own.

I love the kindness, generosity, and nosiness of this town, and it was adorable how they became a found family for Charlie. The Porter family, in particular, stood out, and it was wonderful to see all the characters from the series come together at the end.

Overall, Business Casual is a delightful, charming, and heartwarming small-town romance with lovely characters and a perfect setting.

Reading business casual felt bittersweet. On one hand I am so happy and grateful we got to see such an amazing book filled with banter, flirting, tension, character development and beautiful communication. On the other hand, I am sad to say goodbye to such a perfect series.

This book feels like a warm hug. Like seeing your friend after a long time. It feels like coming home. It’s sweet and nostalgic. Business Casual truly has everything you would want from romance book. It is perfect in its own way & surpassed any expectation I had.

Business Casual is opposites attract, black cat x
golden retriever (one of my fav tropes), friends to lovers, with so much tension, swoony moments, hilarious diologue and scenes that will have you giggling, sweating & most likely that will pull on your heartstrings.

Nova and Charlie are a perfect duo. They are better together. The way they so easily understand one another and care for not only each other but everyone around them is beautiful to see. I am sad to say goodbye. My heart will always and forever be with this found family and this series!

B.K. Borison can do no wrong and her latest in the LoveLight series is a new favorite! I absolutely loved Nova and Charlie's story, and it was nice to revisit all the previous characters as well. This is just the best series! I loved the witty banter and all the swoony moments. The perfect series to read year round! B.K. Borison is an auto-buy author for me, and even though I will be sad to leave the Lovelight Farm world, I cannot wait to read more from her.

I guess I should have read the other 3 books before 😅, but even then I did love the Gilmore Girls vibes and I tough it was cute.

Business Casual was a great read from B.K. Borison. I love series like this where it's a continuation but other characters are the main focus. This actually made me want to go back and reread the rest of the Lovelight Series. I liked Nora and Charlie a lot I especially like when a guy is down bad for the heroine.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

Just a delightful story. I loved the tension and the plot. Charlie was everything you would want in a book boyfriend. I seriously couldn’t get through this fast enough, and then was sad it was over. It was also fun to see all of the fun characters from previous books!

This is a really great romance! I haven't read this author before, and I will be going back and reading them all now!

This story is about Charlie and Nova. They have been friends for a long time. She's driven and independent. He's so quirky and detailed, I love him. They both have inner conflict to work through, and learn a lot in the process. They start with a "one night stand" to "get it out of their systems" but they soon find that they are very much loving every minute of their rendezvous as well as deepening their relationship.

I love the dynamics of the town and their families. (Well...his sister...not toxic people.)

All of the descriptions are spot on. Not too much, not too little, but perfectly immersive. Inspiring and evocative. There's so much to love about this. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Returning to Lovelight Farms is like sitting on the comfiest couch in the world, under the coziest blanket. Do you perhaps have to suspend a bit of reality for how lovely this small town is? Sure, but that’s part of the charm.

Business Casual focuses on Nova, the local tattoo artist, and Charlie, a New Yorker who can’t resist the siren call of this sugar-sweet town. Their love story is full of heart and self-discovery, especially for our Charlie, our chronic people-pleaser. Business Casual is a story sweeter than the baked goods at Layla’s!

Thank you to the publisher for an early copy. All thoughts are my own.

**4 stars**
🌶️🌶️

This was such a cute and fun read.

I absolutely loved Nova; she was such a unique and fun FMC. I loved how she was tattooed.

**Tropes to look for:**
- Black cat x golden retriever
- Friends with benefits
- Dual POV
- Secret relationship
- Small town romance

This has a strong start where you start rooting for Charlie and Nova from the very beginning.
I really enjoyed this small town romance so much.

I loved how he called her Nova girl.

There was one part where he asked the same question multiple times; this made me cringe a little bit, but other than that, it was such a good bingeable read.

The tension, the flirting, the cuteness. I also love the seasonal vibes. Would have liked a bit more build up to the end but this was a fun time.
