Absolutely crying because this series is over? Is this it? 😭
Forever one of the coziest vibes, this book doesn’t falter to provide that as the rest of the series. We soon fall in love with Charlie, an absolute goofball with the sweetest heart. Nova never thought she’d ever want someone and yet, they both are so perfect for each other. I loved seeing them grow with each other. I do wish we would have seen Charlie finally do what he wanted after the final chapter before the epilogue. I just adore him so much and wanted to see him finally get that happiness.
We also get to see our favorite couples from the previous 3 books and what they’ve been up to. The phone tree also continues. 😂
I hope there’s another epilogue somewhere where we see them 10 years down the road and fully see everything come full circle.
Thank you so much Berkley Publishing Group, NetGalley and B.K. Borison for the ARC!
Charlie is just the best person ever. I love what he does for his half-sister Stella and his new brother in law Luka at the beginning. I love that it keeps him in Ingewild for a month. He takes such good care of the day and even makes plans for expansion even if just for his own satisfaction.
Nova is getting ready to open up her tattoo shop but she feels it needs to be perfect, especially for her brother Beckett (her first, most enthusiastic cheerleader, and tattoo getter). I felt bad with how bad of migraines she can get but love the care Charlie shows her when he catches her going through one.
I absolutely love the way these two flirt and then get together on the sly (haha not in this town.... If you're this series reader..you know.. you know what I mean). I adore the trust they have in each other. It was so fun to see them both grow a bit separately and together. I'm sad that this is the last installment in this series but a note at the end shows us fans not to lose total hope!
I picked up Lovelight Farms during Christmas a couple of years ago to get into a festive spirit. Little did I know, I would fall in love with this little series.
Every book has been so cute and easy to read, and Business Casual was no different.
There were so many times that I giggle out loud. Nova & Charlie’s banter was 🤌🏻
I think Charlie may be my favorite guy out of this series. He was easy to love, witty and had a heart of gold.
All together, this was such an easy and fun read! I would definitely recommend this series and this book!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was anticipating this book because I have loved this whole series! Charlie and Nova were the perfect characters to wrap up this cute little town! As always, I love glimpsing into the previous book characters lives and seeing how everything ties together! Round of applause, I loved it!
The perfect duo to end one of the best book series I’ve read in an extremely long time. If I could pack a bag right now and move to Lovelight Farms I would. Every single character in this series has been magical
4 stars
THANK YOU BERKLEY SO MUCH FOR THIS ARC!!!! this book has been on my most anticipated reads for nearly two years and I am so thankful to have been given a chance to advance read and review this lovely story :)
I have been in love with Lovelight Farms since it first published, and more specifically with Charlie Milford. BUSINESS CASUAL delivered in every possible way for what I wanted for Charlie and his oh so deserving happily ever after. as a golden retriever hero with a desperate yearning to be part of a big, loving family in Inglewild, Charlie finding his happy with Nova was the most special thing to read. Nova, in finding her stability, confidence, and grace within herself, also is able to find a true happiness with Charlie not just as fun roll in the sheets but as a dear friend, confidant, and lover. their story is full of honesty, goofiness, vulnerability, grace, freakiness, and so much love in so many forms.
I loved seeing Charlie find his rightful home in Inglewild; the way the town accepts him as one of their own before he even realizes it; the way he learns he does not need to earn a place at their table, he has one set for him always. seeing him find his happy and forever with Nova and in their perfect little town had me in tears and smiles all throughout this story. Nova fulfilling her dreams, finally making herself at home in her home balances Charlie so well.
and the lovely family & friend dynamics between Nova and Beckett, the whole Porter family, and the rest of the Lovelight band of misfits make this story so amazing! seeing where all my fav couples have gone since their own stories was so special, I cried so much just seeing where Stella and Luka, Beck and Evie, and Layla and Caleb ended up; it made it the most bittersweet, tearfully lovely end to this series.
I can't believe this series is actually over, but I find my happiness and comfort in knowing I'll have a reason to go home to Lovelight Farms every season forever and ever :)
Business Casual was definitely my favorite of the Lovelight Farms series. I loved everything about Charlie and Nova. Their insecurities were so heart wrenching and sad. I loved how B.K. Borison depicted how family issues/traumas directly and inherently change the way you view yourself and how you think others view you. Also how you feel like you have to live up to certain metrics to be loved even if your family doesn't realize that is how you feel. This book put a beautiful bow around the series.
Nova and Charlie have been friendly for a while before they start a fling, keeping things 'business casual'. What starts as some lighthearted fun quickly develops into more as they get to know each other more deeply. I really enjoyed both main characters. Nova is a perfectionist and she works so hard to make sure her new business goes well. I could relate to her feelings about not letting other people down so much.
Charlie is lonely and is using any excuse he can to come to town. He works so hard to make everyone around him happy, while not going for his own happiness. I loved watching the two of them figure each other out and work to be better people.
The town and the side characters made the book even more delightful. I love this kind of small town and the way they were in everyone's business. Charlie's obsession with being on the phone tree was HILARIOUS.
I appreciate all the support Nova and Charlie have from the other characters. There's so much love and positivity from all sides. There was no miscommunication trope or third act breakup, both of which are huge points in favor of this book.
Overall, it's a delightful story that makes me feel super squishy. Will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Preorder it!
Opinions are my own. Thank you so much to Netgalley for the ARC.
Reading this book was such a pleasure! All the books from this series give me the highest level of comfort and good vibes. I love the world she created and the characters.
Nova and Charlie were two dummies with commitment problems I loved them so much and I loved how everyone made Charlie feel like he was part of this big family, this story was very soft in this sense. Truly loved their dynamic and banter I laughed out loud a few times. I don’t know if she will announce more books set in this town, if she won’t I will be very sad to leave this town.
B.K. Borison is now an insta-buy author. I will support her endlessly as this was hands-down THE BEST rom-com series I have ever read. Each book is so cozy and comforting. (I felt like I was reading Stardew Valley! I really can't give a higher compliment than that🥰). Every book in the series coincides with a different season, starting in winter with Lovelight Farms and moving through to fall by this book. I just loved being transported to the quaint little town of Inglewild to enjoy each of the passing seasons with my favorite characters!
Now let's get into THIS book, specifically. Charlie & Nova are probably a close second when it comes to my favorite characters in the series (sorry y'all, Beckett and Evelyn just can't be beat). However, when I say they were a close second I mean CLOSE! They were actually the only two characters to make me a little nervous about how different their wants and personalities were, but I think it adds to their chemistry. They have the perfect Black Cat/Golden Retriever vibes with Nova's seemingly cold exterior and Charlie's charming, flirty personality. They're two perfect opposites, the only question- is one casual hookup enough for them to get the "attraction" part of opposites attract out of their system? From the witty banter, to the dirty talk/texts, to the end of a heartwarming series with characters that came to feel like family- I wouldn't change a thing. While I'm heartbroken for this series to be ending and feel that I could read 1,000 more books about the people of Inglewild, I couldn't have possibly asked for a better conclusion to this series!

Thank you @netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review (my first arc since my grand return to reading, actually! I couldn't have been happier or more excited that it was THIS book!). And thank you, Ms Borison, for a story that will stick with me for a lifetime! ♡
A fun romance, characters have relatability, and the authors got a decent writing voice. Will check into more as they pop up.
I’m going to miss Lovelight Farms and everyone in this town. I read the first book a few years ago and these characters are such a comfort to me.
That being said, this was not my favorite of the series; did I still enjoy this? Absolutely but there was something about the relationship that didn’t resonate with me.
While I will be rereading this series, this may not be one I reach for as often. Either way, I’ll always love this series
2.5
This one was okay. I'm about 50% through and may or may not finish it. It was my first BK Borison book and will probably be my last.
I wasn't big into the romance. At the beginning when they're at the wedding, I felt those sparks fly. But once they finally get together... I found it incredibly dull and lackluster.
I don't see the ADHD representation in Charlie. One size does not fit all, but I didn't feel it was genuine. Nova was annoying and I didn't particularly enjoy her character. Their dialogue sometimes was cute, but mostly it was weird and awkward. Especially when they were doing the deed. I just felt a little icked out tbh.
Charlie was sweet but I would have preferred a different FMC for him. Nova was not the "black cat" she was marketed as. Just because she "grumbles" words or "growls" something in a mean tone and has tattoos (they're probably fine line, too) doesn't mean she's a black cat fmc. She was maybe a calico wearing a black sweatshirt. That's it. Her reasons for not wanting Beckett to see her tattoo studio were stupid. You're a grown ass woman, act like it.
Im disappointed by this book. If I continue reading it, I hope it gets better. But there are so many other better books out there that I just don't feel like wasting my time.
This was surprisingly enjoyable since I wasn’t really into the first book. Thank you to the NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me this arc.
HAPPY DANCE!!!! oooh how I loved this book. Seriously, it’s another gorgeous, swoony, emotional beautifully written Borison book that had me in happy tears and clutching my heart more times than I could count.
This book was an absolute delight. The perfect mix of small town swoon and steamy. Nova and Charlie were definitely worth the wait. This is BK Borison’s strongest book in this series and her writing has just gotten better and better. Both characters were developed so great and felt so real. We see them go through a journey of self-acceptance while navigating being with someone else and it was just really well done. I will definitely miss this world and the characters in it, but the ending was great and the epilogue was fantastic. A must read this year for all small town romance lovers!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Perfect, no notes! This book is my favorite in the series. B. K. paints the perfect picture of found family, love, and the power of community and belonging. I don’t think there has ever been a small town as cute and nosy as Inglewild! Every character, main and supporting, is perfection. The emotional journey of both main characters is beautifully depicted, we see and understand their inner struggles and are cheering for these perfectly imperfect characters. Charlie and Nova are EVERYTHING with their chemistry, witty banter, and scorching hot spice. Bonus that they communicate well and there is no third act breakup! Everyone will fall in love with them and this book that is sure to tug at all the heartstrings.
It’s been so fun watching Borison’s writing grow through this series! I definitely think Business Casual was my favorite one of the four tied with In the Weeds. The characters Charlie and Nova were so good and so nuanced I loved them and rooted for them the whole time. The aesthetic of this series is perfect with the seasons and the cute little town I would love to just insert myself right into.
Just the right amount of spice and one liners that had me squealing. Will definitely read anything and everything B. K. Borison writes in the future!
The perfect conclusion to the Lovelight Farms series. This feels like the warmest hug and the stories of all of the characters wrapped up in the best way imaginable. So happy we could take one last trip to Lovelight
Charlie Milford and Nova Porter have my HEART! I’ve read all of the Lovelight series, and these books truly rekindled my love for Romance novels. Borison is a master of prose, banter, HOT spice, and a world so beautifully come to life she will even make you cry. I can’t say how much I loved this book, Charlie especially has my heart. This book is a warm hug when you need it most and I literally devoured it in two days because the plot SLAYS. I hope one day, I’ll get to go to Inglewild again ❤️
