What a perfect ending to this amazing series 🫶🏼 I love Inglewild! Charlie & Nova were utter perfection and have taken the spot as my number one favorite Lovelight couple. “Just once to get it out of our systems” turned friends with benefits arrangement turned the most beautiful love story 🥹 I felt positively giddy the entire time while reading this! These two couldn’t be more different but they are perfect for one another.

The writing is so atmospheric and imaginative! And all the characters are lovely. Whenever Charlie said “Nova girl” I audibly swooned 💞 the tension was everything in this book and the spice was delightfully explosive! Becs best work for sure 🔥

This was my first BK Borison but it will NOT be my last. I loved everything about this book; the opposites attract, the flirting, the SPICE, all the tattoo talk, the finding the strength to set boundaries and have hard conversations. I am SO pleased to find out this author has so many other books to go back and read and so proud to hear she's from my town! Go Baltimore!

Thanks to Berkley and NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Pub Date: July 16

What a bittersweet book - to visit the Lovelight Farms series characters one last time was so special. I love the way that B.K. Borison writes!

Charlie and Nova were precious. I’ve loved each of the Lovelight couples, but Charlie is just a big softy and I love him. This one wasn’t quite as intertwined with the other characters, but really focused on Charlie and Nova.

I only took off half a star for the M/F role reversal at the end which just isn’t a personal fave of mine. I’ll miss this small town, but I’m excited for what B.K. will write next!

Perfect for you if you like:

my first bk borison book!! and i had a great time with charlie and nova.

i haven't read any other of the lovelight farms books, but this book made me want to! i'm sure if you have already read the other books this one would've been much more special to you, but regardless i enjoyed this book a lot!

thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC, i highlighted and annotated so so much because there was just so many good quotes and scenes!!

it was a bit weird starting a series from the last book but you don't need to read the other to understand this one! i loved the small town vibes so much and i love a friends with benefits when done well! it still has that tension and spice from an enemies to lovers but keeps that sweet and wholesome nature of a friends to lovers!

charlie and nova are perfect opposites attract! charlie has this charming and sunshine-y personality which contrasts novas grumpy perfectly!! their chemistry is amazing and i loved seeing them go from friends to friends with benefits to lovers!

a big reason i loved this book was because of all the amazing tropes:
- friends to lovers
- friends with benefits
- opposites attract
- grumpy x sunshine
- small town

3.8 stars from me!

Business Casual is the last book in B K Borison's series. It is a friends-with-benefits to lovers trope. Charlie and Nova's story is so sweet. Nova Porter wasn't looking for love and she certainly did not have time for love, but then she ran right into it when she met Charlie Milford. In an effort to get Charlie out of her system once and for all Nova comes up with a plan to get over him, but is it a smart plan? Her plan, a one night stand with no strings attached. Read Nova and Charlie's story to figure out if her plan worked. Cute characters with funny banter.

Thank you Berkeley Publishing, NetGalley, and B.K. Borison for a free copy of Business Casual in exchange for an honest review. This book is out now!

This is the fourth book in the Lovelight series, but the first that I’ve read. And I’m about to buy the whole series because I loved this so so so much! The characters, the setting, the spice, it was all immaculate. I miss being in Lovelight Farms already. I thought I loved Nova, and I do, but Charlie? He has my whole heart!!

Check out this book if you like any of these tropes:
Friends With Benefits
Small Town
Black Cat x Golden Retriever
Chronic Illness Rep

!! fave quotes!!
“I always get the feeling Nova wants to crack open my head and take a look around. I’d probably let her and thank her for the pleasure.”

“Little Miss Grump”

“I don’t think I’ve ever known the spreadsheet preferences of a bedroom partner before.”

“I want to reduce him to cinders. I want us both boneless and stupid.”

“I make an embarrassing noise when I feel her, but I don’t care. It’s Nova. She’s already seen me moonwalk in a reindeer costume at the tree farm during the holiday season. I’m not trying to impress her. I’m just trying to make her come.”

“‘Has anyone ever told you that you’re a stubborn woman?’
‘With alarming frequency and incredible detail,’”

“‘What the fuck is happening?’ he mutters. ‘What the fuck is this?’
‘It looks like a gaggle of geese.’”

“A tiny, aggressive barnacle.”

“’The only things you’ve given me are an irrational desire to please people and a constant fucking headache.’”

“He lifts his newly tattooed arm and wipes quickly under his eye. He sniffs once and digs his knuckle into his cheek. His eyes drag up to meet mine, red rimmed but bright. Forget-me-not blue. ‘I’ve never been anyone’s favorite,’ he whispers.
‘Well,’ I say, feeling defensive. ‘You’re mine.’
He leans his body across the table and cups his hand around my face, hauling me to him. His kiss is slow and deep, a methodical undoing of every last hesitation I have. I fall into it happily. ‘Nova,’ he whispers, somewhere against my mouth. ‘I don’t think my feelings are business casual.’
I sigh into him. I hold onto him wherever I can reach. ‘I don’t think mine are either.’”

What a bittersweet read! I knew this was the last book in the Inglewild series, so I was sad knowing I wouldn’t be going back to these characters. Thankfully, this was the perfect ending to the series, featuring a tattoo artist trying to find her footing and a sweet man looking for a place to call home.

I loved reading about Charlie and Nova, getting to know them better and watching them find their home in each other.

it is official. this series is now my comfort series && i am obsessed, head over heels for nova & charlie!! literally, this book had me giggling & giddy from the very first chapter!

nova & charlie’s banter was incredible! the way their relationship ebbed & flowed was perfect for who they are as people & the trajectory of their relationship. i truly felt like i was reading about a real life couple recounting their romance story while it also being perfect to be adapted for the big screen. these two complimented each other in the best ways. they were similar in places & yet complete opposites. it made their banter literal *chefs kiss*

i. am. in. love.

this was by far my number one book in the series. i would highly recommend reading the other books before this one to get the most perfect well rounded story & get the most out of all the side characters as well. 10/10 would recommend!!

I really liked this and thought it was cute. Nova and Charlie are a pair of opposites attract with a shared heart. They love boldy and deeply care about their people. Even with the hookups in the story, their tension builds instead of breaks. There's such longing and respect between them and you love to see it.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

one of the best series Enders I’ve ever experienced! Charlie and Nova were absolutely everything that I wanted and having the culmination of their little scenes throughout the first couple of books turn out like this was the best reward.

Bk borison will stay one of my absolute favorite authors forever and I will read ANYTHING that she writes.

The pacing of this, the romance, the banter, the closing movements. I adored every bit of it.

I've been waiting for Nova and Charlie's story, and it does not disappoint! It was wonderful seeing the Lovelight Farms community and following along with their love story. I definitely recommend this series.

I’m beyond devastated to let Lovelight go.

I’ve personally been amped up for this book as soon as BK described Nova as a black cat character. Something about emotionally reserved women who are lulled to an ease by a man who consistently provides a safe space will do it for me EVERY TIME. “Friends” with benefits always makes me cringe because there is inevitably a moment in which one person gets rejected, but I think readers will be pleased with how Becs approached that conversation. They were hot and beautiful and so so sexy and sweet.

This is a series that found me in fall 2021, an Amazon recommendation that I took on a whim. I’ve not looked back since; Becs has truly improved her craft book by book, writing the most tender love stories and spinning magic from 26 simple letters.

I love this entire series, but this one just took over as my favorite of them. From the beginning I knew Charlie was special, and he did not disappoint. This made me laugh out loud, gave me butterflies, and brought a tear to my eye.

Business Casual is the final book in the Lovelight series and in my opinion, the best book was saved for last!

This might just be my favourite book that I’ve read so far this year. Charlie and Nova’s story gave me everything I wanted and more with the amazing banter, the black cat x golden retriever energy, the small town charm that reminds me so much of Gilmore Girls, and the found family with all of our main characters from this series. Their love story was so heartwarming and I had the biggest smile on my face while I was reading this book.

Business Casual was the perfect conclusion to the Lovelight series, I truly loved every single thing about it. I’m so sad this wonderful series has come to an end, as it is an all-time favourite of mine, but I can’t wait to read what B.K. Borison writes next!

“I never wanted to try with anyone, but I want to try with you.” “That’s the thing, Nova…with me, you don’t have to try at all.”

Your Honor, I love them.

If I could my review of this book would be one giant heart eye emoji. But I guess I should actually use words.

I adored this book.

Charlie + Nova pushed Beckett + Evelyn out of the top spot for my Lovelight couples.

Their chemistry… impeccable.

Their banter…. flawless.

The emotional payoff when they finally admit that their feelings for each other are more than ‘business casual’... made me cry happy tears.

The meddlesome phone tree hijinks… hilarious!

This book is about finding where you belong in the world and who your people are. And then never letting go.

I’m very tempted to just reread this one immediately because I loved it so much.

Business Casual by B.K. Borison 💐

Nova girl and Charlie boy!! The way I feel about them is definitely not casual.

This is such a special series for me. I love the small town of Inglewood and all the characters in it so, so much. If the town were a real place, I would be moving there in a heartbeat. I'm not saying that jokingly either. This book was a highly anticipated read for close to two years. I read the first book in the series close to when it first came out and have been so excited, and sad, for this series to come to an end. This book was a perfect way to end and tie up the series with getting to see all the characters from past books, without them overpowering the story. While this is the last in a series, you can read it standalone, however I wouldn't recommend it because you'll miss out on all the little moments along the way. I promise, you won't regret starting with Lovelight Farms and reading the entire series before this one.

Charlie is known as the flirty, charming, happy go lucky guy who can make friends with anyone. Nova is the guarded, hard working woman who is working to open her own tattoo shop of her hometown. The two of them are such opposites. Yet, every time they're around each other Charlie flirts and Nova acts like she doesn't like it. (Spoiler alert, she does.) When it's the night of Charlie's sister's wedding, Nova gives in to Charlie's flirting and flirts back leading to a proposition of a one night stand. They both think they can get each other out of their systems but oh how wrong they are.

When I say I'm looking for a man in finance, I mean Charlie Milford and Charlie Milford only. I love that man so much. Him and Nova both put up fronts in their own way in hopes of appeasing those around them. Getting to see each of them put down the fronts, and be vulnerable with each other was so sweet. The banter between them was perfect but their serious moments were my favorite. There were multiple moments that made me tear up.

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

This is book four in the Lovelight series, I have not read the other books, but I will definitely be reading them now. I loved that he had everything in it that you want from a romcom, it was cozy and spicy, it had the following tropes: grumpy sunshine, opposites attract, friends to lovers and great banter. The plot was fun and interesting, keeping the reader invested throughout the book and this author makes sure that you, the reader, will be able to connect with the characters in some way. I thought the pace of the book was perfect for a romcom.

You will meet Charlie, he is the shameless flirt but saves all his good flirting for Nova, his best friend’s little sister. If you were to meet her you would understand, she is smart, fun, a little sassy but in all the good ways. Charlie takes care of his friends and family that he considers important to him, he is a gift giver but also a protector as well and I loved getting to see him in that role in this book. I like that he lets Nova do her own thing but is still there for her when she needs him and even when she doesn’t know that she needs him. I liked that both of the main characters in this book did have a lot of character growth in this book and it was throughout the book, yes at the ending there was a lot more, but you will see the changes throughout the book.

I thought it was cute that the whole town got involved in making sure that those two were a couple and seeing how the whole town fooled them when Charlie and Nova thought they were the ones that were fooling everyone they knew. The ending of the book was nicely wrapped up and didn’t leave any unanswered questions.

This was a great book for me to read in July, it was just the perfect summer romcom that I needed without knowing so. You will swoon over the males in this book, and I bet in the others too. You will find the women in this book to be smart and sassy. I really can’t wait to get that backlist of this series done so I can fully be in love with this town and their romance.

I want to thank NetGalley and Berkley for the opportunity to review this book

Nova and Charlie!! They are so sweet! I loved their love for each other, loved how they both continued to tell themselves that the other didn't have feelings for them when really they did. I loved how Charlie would go to any and all measures to make sure Nova has exactly what she need even when she didn't know she needed it. And the little fruit platter, swoony!!!

Such a sweet, spicy, flirty, romantic read! Can't wait to read the rest of this series!!
