I really liked this and thought it was cute. Nova and Charlie are a pair of opposites attract with a shared heart. They love boldy and deeply care about their people. Even with the hookups in the story, their tension builds instead of breaks. There's such longing and respect between them and you love to see it.
I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

one of the best series Enders I’ve ever experienced! Charlie and Nova were absolutely everything that I wanted and having the culmination of their little scenes throughout the first couple of books turn out like this was the best reward.
Bk borison will stay one of my absolute favorite authors forever and I will read ANYTHING that she writes.
The pacing of this, the romance, the banter, the closing movements. I adored every bit of it.

I've been waiting for Nova and Charlie's story, and it does not disappoint! It was wonderful seeing the Lovelight Farms community and following along with their love story. I definitely recommend this series.

I’m beyond devastated to let Lovelight go.
I’ve personally been amped up for this book as soon as BK described Nova as a black cat character. Something about emotionally reserved women who are lulled to an ease by a man who consistently provides a safe space will do it for me EVERY TIME. “Friends” with benefits always makes me cringe because there is inevitably a moment in which one person gets rejected, but I think readers will be pleased with how Becs approached that conversation. They were hot and beautiful and so so sexy and sweet.
This is a series that found me in fall 2021, an Amazon recommendation that I took on a whim. I’ve not looked back since; Becs has truly improved her craft book by book, writing the most tender love stories and spinning magic from 26 simple letters.

I love this entire series, but this one just took over as my favorite of them. From the beginning I knew Charlie was special, and he did not disappoint. This made me laugh out loud, gave me butterflies, and brought a tear to my eye.

Business Casual is the final book in the Lovelight series and in my opinion, the best book was saved for last!
This might just be my favourite book that I’ve read so far this year. Charlie and Nova’s story gave me everything I wanted and more with the amazing banter, the black cat x golden retriever energy, the small town charm that reminds me so much of Gilmore Girls, and the found family with all of our main characters from this series. Their love story was so heartwarming and I had the biggest smile on my face while I was reading this book.
Business Casual was the perfect conclusion to the Lovelight series, I truly loved every single thing about it. I’m so sad this wonderful series has come to an end, as it is an all-time favourite of mine, but I can’t wait to read what B.K. Borison writes next!

“I never wanted to try with anyone, but I want to try with you.” “That’s the thing, Nova…with me, you don’t have to try at all.”
Your Honor, I love them.
If I could my review of this book would be one giant heart eye emoji. But I guess I should actually use words.
I adored this book.
Charlie + Nova pushed Beckett + Evelyn out of the top spot for my Lovelight couples.
Their chemistry… impeccable.
Their banter…. flawless.
The emotional payoff when they finally admit that their feelings for each other are more than ‘business casual’... made me cry happy tears.
The meddlesome phone tree hijinks… hilarious!
This book is about finding where you belong in the world and who your people are. And then never letting go.
I’m very tempted to just reread this one immediately because I loved it so much.

Very cute and a great way to end this series!
A reverse grumpy sunshine, friends with benefits, opposites attract - all the good things that made this an amazing read.

Business Casual by B.K. Borison 💐
Nova girl and Charlie boy!! The way I feel about them is definitely not casual.
This is such a special series for me. I love the small town of Inglewood and all the characters in it so, so much. If the town were a real place, I would be moving there in a heartbeat. I'm not saying that jokingly either. This book was a highly anticipated read for close to two years. I read the first book in the series close to when it first came out and have been so excited, and sad, for this series to come to an end. This book was a perfect way to end and tie up the series with getting to see all the characters from past books, without them overpowering the story. While this is the last in a series, you can read it standalone, however I wouldn't recommend it because you'll miss out on all the little moments along the way. I promise, you won't regret starting with Lovelight Farms and reading the entire series before this one.
Charlie is known as the flirty, charming, happy go lucky guy who can make friends with anyone. Nova is the guarded, hard working woman who is working to open her own tattoo shop of her hometown. The two of them are such opposites. Yet, every time they're around each other Charlie flirts and Nova acts like she doesn't like it. (Spoiler alert, she does.) When it's the night of Charlie's sister's wedding, Nova gives in to Charlie's flirting and flirts back leading to a proposition of a one night stand. They both think they can get each other out of their systems but oh how wrong they are.
When I say I'm looking for a man in finance, I mean Charlie Milford and Charlie Milford only. I love that man so much. Him and Nova both put up fronts in their own way in hopes of appeasing those around them. Getting to see each of them put down the fronts, and be vulnerable with each other was so sweet. The banter between them was perfect but their serious moments were my favorite. There were multiple moments that made me tear up.

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.
This is book four in the Lovelight series, I have not read the other books, but I will definitely be reading them now. I loved that he had everything in it that you want from a romcom, it was cozy and spicy, it had the following tropes: grumpy sunshine, opposites attract, friends to lovers and great banter. The plot was fun and interesting, keeping the reader invested throughout the book and this author makes sure that you, the reader, will be able to connect with the characters in some way. I thought the pace of the book was perfect for a romcom.
You will meet Charlie, he is the shameless flirt but saves all his good flirting for Nova, his best friend’s little sister. If you were to meet her you would understand, she is smart, fun, a little sassy but in all the good ways. Charlie takes care of his friends and family that he considers important to him, he is a gift giver but also a protector as well and I loved getting to see him in that role in this book. I like that he lets Nova do her own thing but is still there for her when she needs him and even when she doesn’t know that she needs him. I liked that both of the main characters in this book did have a lot of character growth in this book and it was throughout the book, yes at the ending there was a lot more, but you will see the changes throughout the book.
I thought it was cute that the whole town got involved in making sure that those two were a couple and seeing how the whole town fooled them when Charlie and Nova thought they were the ones that were fooling everyone they knew. The ending of the book was nicely wrapped up and didn’t leave any unanswered questions.
This was a great book for me to read in July, it was just the perfect summer romcom that I needed without knowing so. You will swoon over the males in this book, and I bet in the others too. You will find the women in this book to be smart and sassy. I really can’t wait to get that backlist of this series done so I can fully be in love with this town and their romance.
I want to thank NetGalley and Berkley for the opportunity to review this book

Nova and Charlie!! They are so sweet! I loved their love for each other, loved how they both continued to tell themselves that the other didn't have feelings for them when really they did. I loved how Charlie would go to any and all measures to make sure Nova has exactly what she need even when she didn't know she needed it. And the little fruit platter, swoony!!!
Such a sweet, spicy, flirty, romantic read! Can't wait to read the rest of this series!!

I received this book as an e-arc for review by the publisher via netgalley, but only a handful of chapters in, I added the paperback (and the rest of the series) to my cart. Already I trusted the writing enough to know this was going to be amazing, and it was exactly the wholesome fulfilling romance I was hoping for.
Nova Porter is overwhelmed with the launching of her very own tattoo shop in her hometown of Inglewild. She's drowning in paperwork, to-do tasks, and responsibility. She needs a release. When fun-loving New Yorker and obnoxious flirt Charlie asks her to dance at the wedding they're both attending, she thinks he might be just the thing to help. But a proposition was the last thing he expected from Nova, and (adorable) awkwardness kills the moment. But now Charlie knows she's interested in that kind of relationship, and that changes everything.
Nova is a spunky, hard-working woman setting out on her own to make her dreams come true in the hometown that just feels right. She has regular dinners with her supportive family, and knows everyone in town. She knows she can handle it, but also - can she actually handle it? Charlie comes from an upper-class broken family with a father that makes him feel like he's only as good as what he can accomplish, and that he's not even good at that. He's gotten to know Inglewild through his half-sister, Stella, who runs a Christmas tree farm there, and it makes him feel whole in a way he's never experienced before, but he still feels like he doesn't quite belong.
This is an example of a story that works well because of character (not to belittle the idyllic setting, which was also amazing). Nova and Charlie are perfectly suited, but their character and backstory drive the conflict. If Charlie was with someone else, it wouldn't have the same ending. If Nova was with someone else, it wouldn't have the same inciting incident. They are so thoughtfully designed to create this engaging story full of so much longing, and a resolution that doesn't leave you feeling damaged, but with a bigger heart than you had before.
I adored Charlie. He's that not-a-puppy-anymore aged golden retriever pup at the shelter who was abandoned by his family and just looking for someone to tell him what a good boy he is. And he's a good boy. He's such a good boy. I dare you not to fall for him right along with Nova.
This is the fourth book in the Lovelight Farms series by BK Borison. Each volume corresponds to one of the seasons, and Business Casual is centered around fall. Nova and Charlie both find themselves on the Harvest Festival committee and work together to help the town make it a great event.
Business Casual is a feel-good read. You get that warm fuzzy feeling all the way through. Now that I've turned the last page, I have that book hangover feeling, like I just want to hold on a little bit longer. Luckily, there are three other books in the series I get to dive into next! If you're looking for your next romance fix, you can't go wrong with this one.

Was this my favorite of the series?! YUP.
This was so cute and so much fun. This was by far my favorite from the series! It was an enjoyable, quick lil beach read..

A fantastic way to end the Lovelight Farms books with Charlie & Nova's story. Borison is skilled at creating an atmosphere where you as the reader feel like you are a part of the town, of Nova's family, at the wedding of Luka and Stella. You'll fall for Charlie's sweet boyish charm and open heart while cheering for strong, independent Nova who struggles to be vulnerable. *Warning* You'll want some sort of sweet floral tattoo by the end!

I absolutely loved this book and this was a perfect way to wrap up the series. The chemistry between Charlie and Nova was so good . I loved their banter and cute moments so much

It was so great to be back in the world of the Lovelight series! I’ve loved every book in the series and just can’t get enough of the wonderful characters and the charming small town.
Business Casual is the fourth book in the series and this book is Charlie’s. Charlie has been such a fun secondary character in the earlier books so it was great to get to know more about him in this book. Charlie is a successful investment banker and he also loves to be the life of the party.
When the book opens, Charlie is having a blast at a wedding and sets his sights on dancing with Nova Porter. Nova is a talented tattoo artist who also happens to be the sister of one of Charlie’s good friends. Nova is busy trying to get her tattoo studio up and running and has no time for, or interest in a relationship. She can’t deny that she finds Charlie attractive though and after dancing with him at the wedding, he seems equally infatuated with her.
Nova doesn’t need this distraction so she proposes a one-night stand so they can get each other of their systems and move on. What starts out as casual with no strings quickly escalates though when it becomes clear they both really do have feelings for one another and that it’s pretty much impossible to avoid each other in such a small town. The sexual tension builds until they just can’t fight it anymore!
I really adored Charlie and Nova together. They’ve got a grumpy-sunshine vibe and their banter is just so flirty and perfect. I also love how their relationship evolves quickly into something more emotional. Charlie, in particular, shows a vulnerable side I didn’t realize he had.
Heartwarming with a hint of spice, Business Casual is perfect for fans of small town and friends to lovers romances.

✔️ Small Town
✔️ Black Cat/Golden Retriever
✔️ It's Just Sex
✔️ Nurse Back to Health
✔️ Found Family
I loved this one - it will definitely be among my top reads of the year.
Charlie and Nova were terrific together and rank as one of my fave Black Cat/Golden Retriever couples. Their chemistry, mutual pining, and declarations of love made cartoon hearts float out of my eyes.
Loved the small town/found family, too. And there was one glorious scene with all the book couples in the same room - I legit squealed and maybe kicked my feet in the air at that part.
Highly recommend - 5⭐️! I don't think you need to read this series in order (the first one I read was Mixed Signals, book 3) so feel free to read this and go back and pick up the others.

Swoon 💕💕💕💕💕

BK Borison can do no wrong! This was a five star for me and my favorite romance book of the year so far! The characters, the side characters, the banter, and the romance are top-tier! If you don’t read any other romance this year, read this one

I am absolutely obsessed with the Lovelight Farms series. I was so excited to see another book coming out in the series. I think it might be one of my favorite covers of the series but honestly, I love them all.
B.K. Borison does not miss!
We are back at Lovelight Farms and this time we get to follow Charlie, Stella’s half brother, and Nova, Beckett’s youngest sister. Charlie is staying in Inglewild for a month while Stella and Luka go on a month long honeymoon. Nova is finally opening her dream of her own tattoo shop. Charlie has been flirting with Nova to get a rise out of her for at least a year. Nova finally decides to flirt back and asks him to sleep with her in an attempt to feel better. This shocks Charlie, but ultimately they mutually decide to try to get each other out of their systems and keep things “business casual”.
I loved Nova and Charlie in previous books, so I was excited to get to know them more. Nova is fiercely independent and feels as though by asking for help, she is showing weakness. Charlie doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved, so he attempts to make everyone happy so that they want to keep him around.
Their banter is top notch. I am a sucker for banter and I loved that heirs wasn’t mean, but just truly flirty with a little teasing. It’s funny how obvious their chemistry is immediately, considering how long they deny it. I wanted to give Charlie a hug this entire story too. He is so sweet and such a good guy, but is dealing with his own baggage.
As with Borison’s other novels in this series, I appreciate that there isn’t a 3rd act miscommunication put in just to add drama. I also love how she seamlessly weaves in the other characters from the previous stories. The town of Inglewild is a character in and of itself, and it’s done beautifully.
I do feel like each book in this series has gotten spicier, but I don’t feel like it’s a bad thing. I don’t think I have anything to complain about in this book other than that it’s over! I know this one is advertised as the final Inglewild book, but I really hope it’s not!
If you haven’t read this series, please do so. All 4 books are lovely and such a good time. I would love to see these stories picked up as a series somehow. I think they would be so comforting and warm.

Business Casual by @bkborrison is the 4th & final book of the Lovelight Farms series.
🌸
It is one of my favorite small town book series & I am so sad to say goodbye to these characters. If you want a Stars Hollow feeling book series…this is it.
🌸
We follow Nova & Charlie, both siblings of MCs in previous novels as they flirt and develop a “business casual” relationship.
🌸
It was cute, it was steamy & I throughly enjoyed it.
