Does exactly what the title says! Super easy and simple recipes. Highly recommend for someone who is busy or just learning to cook.
This is a great recipe book for people with diabetes or pre-diabetes (like me). I have a sweet tooth and it can be hard to satisfy it without lots of sugar. The recipes in this book were good.
Avoiding cane sugar is not easy but sometimes your health (and your doctor) demands it. Having an arsenal of alternatives may make it easier, and Elvira Krebber has quite the list of alternative sweeteners in use for her Quick and Easy Low Sugar Recipes. In the first recipe alone, she calls for powdered erythritol, liquid stevia, and xanthan gum.
With recipes ranging from breakfast to dinner, there are multiple recipes without any sweeteners of all and many of them, such as Hearty Breakfast Muffins with Bacon and Cheese, sound tempting. So, if lowering your refined sugar intake is a goal, this is a great book for your kitchen bookshelf with a variety of recipes to choose from. Do, however, research any new-to-you sweeteners before investing in them.

Lots of great easy recipes to watch your sugar intake. Am aiming to try many of them and add to my routine.
Great ideas for low-sugar treats. Lots of simple recipes with good pictures and great instructions. A great idea book!
I received a copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This recipe book wasn't for me. I like the concept of less sugar and less carbs, but a lot of these recipes rely on replacements I don't really eat like xanthan and erythritol or artificial sugars. Personally I'd prefer to just reduce sugar than replace it with an artificial version. The recipes themselves are unique and there's a variety of meals included in this book. If you have dietary restrictions this may be a helpful book for you.
Since hearing on YouTube that cancer cells cannot survive without sugar, this book caught my eye.
Quick and Easy Low Sugar Recipes caters perfectly to the keto lifestyle, offering a treasure trove of culinary delights. Dive into its innovative gluten-free bread and dessert concoctions that will tantalize even the most discerning taste buds. Whether you're a devout keto follower or simply seeking some culinary inspiration, this cookbook is sure to ignite a spark of creativity in the kitchen.
The condiment section is amazing! And worth the whole book in my opinion. Not to discount the rest of the recipes because they are great.
Here’s the thing, you have to switch up something to cut down on the sugar in a sweet recipe. Unfortunately some people have issues with some of the artificial sweetener used in these recipes (it’s me I’m some people) but there are other options you can swap out. This book is a great jumping off point for sure.
A little less sugar...
We can all eat a little sugar...I can eat less sugar. Sugar is in everything!
This was a lovely cookbook with quick and easy recipes for incorporating less sugar into our food. I really liked how easy and inventive and do-able the recipes are. Less sugar, more flavor.
Recommend.
From the Teriyaki sauce to Fudge brownies, this book had plenty of inspiration to help me keep off the weight I lost but not sacrificing my fondness for sweeter things.
A useful staple on the cookbook shelf and one that I will dip into regularly.
A great addition to anyone’s kitchen bookshelf if lowering sugar is the plan. The recipes look delicious, measurements are good (cups and ml/g) and all is well presented.
I like all the recipes and I already tried a few of them, and most certainly will try them all. The recipes are innovative, easy, and good help toward a healthier lifestyle.
The book gave some good recipes and I was excited to try them. I wish they had more with out the artificial sweetners.
Really useful and easy recipes for foods with less sugar! It’s nice to have healthier options for those of us on a fitness journey.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. There were some great swaps and easy recipes as well.
There is an unstated food truth. If you sacrifice sugar, you need to add fat to make something taste flavorful. And vice versa. Quick and Easy Low Sugar Recipes leans heavily onto fats to make its recipes tasty. For example, its homemade mayonnaise has over 2000 calories per cup. Compare that with full fat Miracle Whip at less than 700 calories for the same amount. This makes this cookbook more useful for keto adherents than traditional dieters.
Still, the recipes here are extremely innovative. A gluten free English muffin, tortilla or peanut butter cake made in a microwave? Who would have guessed it was even possible? Note, however, that many of the ingredients are expensive and unlikely to be in most people’s pantries. Most of the ingredient lists sound like science experiments. That said, they are making me curious enough to buy some psyllium husk powder. I just looked it up and psyllium husk powder is the main component of fiber laxatives so you might need to be careful of how much of these foods you eat.
Quick and Easy Low Sugar Recipes is a perfect fit for a keto dieter. It also has some truly innovative gluten free bread and dessert recipes. For others, it might spark a few ideas too. 4 stars!
Thanks to New Shoe Press and NetGalley for a digital review copy of the book.
There are seven chapters: Basics & Pantry Staples, Breakfasts, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Desserts and Drinks.
The pantry and staples chapter has a lot of healthier versions of condiments, sauces, and jams. It’s really helpful recipes to have on hand because you don’t realize sometimes how much sugar is in our condiments. It was even a pleasant surprise to see some bread recipes. This is not a picture heavy cookbook, but there are some occasionally. The breakfast section includes some smoothie recipes along with more savory meals like chorizo and cauliflower breakfast hash. The lunch section includes various soups and salads. The snacks section was the most creative with recipes like magic cauliflower popcorn, and broccoli tater tots. I only wish there was more in that section.
Overall, it is an easy to follow cookbook with creative alternatives to the heavy laden sugar recipes we find these days. It's a useful tool when you are trying to cut back on your sugar.

Embarking on a journey to clean up my diet and reduce sugar intake this year, I couldn't have stumbled upon a more fortuitous find than Elviira Krebber's "Quick and Easy Low Sugar Recipes." This cookbook has become my culinary ally in fostering a healthier lifestyle.
From the moment I opened the book, I was captivated by its beautiful layout and the inclusion of clear pictures accompanying each recipe. The visual appeal enhances the overall experience, making the cooking process easy but the cookbook aesthetically pleasing. The recipes themselves are presented clearly and concisely, and what sets this book apart is the inclusion of comprehensive nutritional information, covering crucial details such as calories, fat, and carbs. This transparency allows for informed decision-making about the impact of each dish on my dietary goals.
One of the highlights is the incorporation of helpful tips sprinkled throughout the book, guiding readers on track with their healthy lifestyle aspirations. This thoughtful addition demonstrates the author's commitment to providing recipes and supporting a holistic approach to wellness.
The book's overall layout is pleasing to the eye but is also well-organized and easy to follow. —Thank you so much to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the chance to review an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’m so excited to make all of these recipes. All of them look so yummy!
Recipes are in chapters on The Basics, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Desserts, and Drinks. The recipes for sweet items all use alternative or artificial sweetners, and unfortunately throughout the recipes I counted at least four different kinds. I would prefer if it was limited to two, and if the recipes cut back on added sugar or something like that, rather than just replacing it with something else.
Most of the recipes have photos and all have nutritional info.
The author is Finnish and has a popular blog and a previous book, and the recipes are based on her own eating and body/health transformation. But the book states that she is currently studying to be a nutrition therapist. So I feel less confident in the advice and information than I would if she had credentials along with personal success.
