As someone who has a boyfriend who goes Keto for 6 months of the year, this book is great to find food we both can enjoy!

This is a great recipe book for anyone who wants to lose weight and curb cravings by reducing carbs and sugar. These recipes will help you substitute the typical ingredients in your favorite foods with ingredients that are more in line with low-carb diet choices.

I liked the food photography because it shows the food realistically, without any tricky angles or larger-than-life portion sizes. Overall, the colors and photos give the book a light and cheery aesthetic. As with any cookbook, there are some recipes that I would personally make and some that I wouldn't, but I think I would particularly enjoy the Flourless Four-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cake in a Mug and the Quick Tuna Satay Sandwich. Sometimes, I'm making a recipe that calls for ketchup as an ingredient, and mainstream ketchup has too much sugar for me to use it in the volume the recipe calls for, but next time I'll try the Five-Ingredient Sugar-Free version from this book. The introductory content did not have a lot of pseudoscientific fluff meant to sell you on a diet or lifestyle. After a quick author introduction, it got straight to the recipes.

It's in the name - QUICK and EASY! These recipes are perfect for cutting down on your sugar intake. There are plenty of options even for someone who is lactose-intolerant like I am.

5 stars out of 5 stars!

I am always on the lookout for low sugar recipes and this book has some great ones which seem easy to follow. I prefer recipe books which have pictures for every recipe but I did like the fact all the nutrition information and there are tips & notes at the end of every recipe.
Some ingredients seem harder to source but I do think this is a good starter book for those who want to reduce their sugar intake.

There are some recipes here I’d like to try but overall the book was hit or miss for me. I appreciated the inclusion of nutritional information for each recipe and some of the staples like a microwaved tortilla and sugar free sweet and sour sauce appealed to me. I would prefer a photo for each recipe though, and I don’t like to cook with so many processed ingredients like whey protein powder, xanthan gum and erythritol. Most of the recipes were fairly simple but contained at least one lab made ingredient. Ironically, the author raved about how healthy they were but I really prefer to stick as much as possible to real foods.

I read a temporary digital copy of this book for review.

We all know sugar is our enemy in a healthy diet and it seems so easy to just 'avoid' sugar, but so many simple things already have sugar in it. While I really appreciate the thought behind the book, I find that a lot of the ingredients are not easily available.

Thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group for access to this arc in exchange for my honest review.

This book has a decent variety of recipes which are fairly easy to follow along with. As someone who is coeliac I appreciated the variety of gluten free recipes available in the book also. I found some of the names of the recipes and ingredient titles a bit *specific* - for example, 'erythrol crystals', 'grass-fed butter' or specifying 'aluminium free baking powder'. There is nothing wrong with this, it just felt a bit pretentious while reading a book that is not specifically designed for that type of thing.

At the bottom of each recipe a calorie count, protein amount and carbs are noted so if you are tracking other things that makes it easy too. Overall a decent cookbook, and I will have to test some of the gluten free treats soon!

This cookbook is broken into sections that are color-coded. There are some full-color photos that I appreciate when I cook. These recipes really do seem easy as the title suggests.

I have to follow a low carb diet for health reasons and that is why I selected this book, but many of the recipes have sugar substitutes which I am not fond of. I actually find substitutes to be sweeter to the taste than sugar itself. There are some lower carb recipes, but not as many as I had hoped. I do think there is an audience for this book though as it is nicely organized and the directions are easy to follow. It just isn't quite for me.

A great healthy cookbook full of delicious easy to cook recipes. Ideal for those wishing to eat healthier or just find a few new meals.

The photos are great, the recipes are easy to follow and taste delicious, the only negative is that some of the sugar substitutes are hard to find

Rating: 3.75 stars

This book has easy-to-follow recipes if you want to reduce your sugar intake. But it does use sugar substitutes that are not too well known which makes it difficult to make the recipes as mentioned.

Everyone wants to lower the amount of sugar we consume. This cookbook eliminates the and starch from your favorite foods. The book starts with some common condiments. We don't think of ketchup and mayo having sugar but they do. There are recipes for sugar free mayo, ketchup, teriyaki sauce, hazelnut spread and even jams. There are recipes for dressing and sauces, breads and wraps, smoothies, and cakes and pies. There are some tips for swaps you can make as well. Some of the ingredients that are used to replace the sugar I am not familiar with such as erythritol crystals. I don't even know where to find things like that. That is the one draw back of this cookbook.

I really love this book. It is important for me to stay low-carb and/or low sugar for health reasons and it’s hard for me to find recipes hate aren’t really complicated. This book is a quick read and I would love for there to be more like this one. Some of the recipes in the book have no more than five ingredients which makes them easier to make. I loved the low sugar sweet and sour sauce I’m a huge fan of Chinese food and when I take to buying sweet and sour sauce I couldn’t believe the amount of sugar that’s in the sauce so I’m excited to try this recipe. Some example recipes are five-ingredient sugar-free ketchup, five ingredient sugar free chocolate hazelnut spread, Joyful Chocolate Almond Smoothie, Low Sugar French Toast. Easy Breakfast Burrito,, Cozy Cheeseburger Wrap, five Ingredient Mozzarella Chicken Wings, and Quick Chicken Fajita Pasta. Although the book is a quick read there’s quite a few recipes in it. The book has recipes for all meal times along with snacks, desserts, and drinks. I can’t wait to try some of these recipes.

Quick and Easy Low Sugar Recipes : Delicious Low-Carb Recipes for Crushing Cravings and Eating Clean. I liked the idea of this book but was disappointed with the ingredients to many of the recipes, especially replacing sugar with artificial sweetener. I thought it was a bit heavy on demonising certain eating preferences and disorders. It was an uncomfortable introduction. Sadly this book just wasn't for me.

Nice easy ingredients most people have on hand.

Easy to follow instructions

Pictures!!

I saved quite a few recipes to try for my new diet journey. A lot of things like sweets which I love a good alternate healthy sweet.

A sugar free ketchup option
Fajita tacos
Streusel blueberry muffins
Cinnamon apple chips

Although I haven't made any yet they are pretty common ingredients that shouldn't alter the taste to much.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

These recipes were not practical. While I am not a chef, there were so many ingredients that I did not have.

This is a beautiful cookbook with great photographs. I will use many of the recipes. However, the recipes use erythritol which a Cleveland Clinic study can cause heart attacks. I have a heart condition so I can't be too careful. I will adapt the recipe using natural sweeteners such applesauce, maple syrup or dates.
