This was a really good detective story . Was a good ending . Will definitely read more from willow rose well worth a read.
I figured this one out about a little over half-way through the book, but it was still pretty good.
I’ve read all the Eva Ray stories and was excited when I received a complimentary copy of this book from Net Galley. I got hooked on this series from the start. I love that all the stories are based in Florida, as I lived there for over 30 years growing up, I know a lot of the places she describes in her books. Willow Rose is a great author, and I can’t wait to read her other series too.
Thank you, Net Galley, Buoy Media for the complimentary copy of this book, and thank you Willow Rose for all your great stories.
If you like a good suspense this is it, when a best friend is murdered it’s up to Matt and Eva Rae to solve it! But can they do it without loosing their own lives?
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
*Till Death Do Us Part* is a gripping mystery that keeps you guessing from start to finish. The story begins with the shocking murder of a woman named Rachel, shortly after she drops her children off at daycare and her husband at work. Initially, all evidence points towards her husband as the prime suspect. However, as the plot thickens, it becomes clear that he is innocent.
Willow Rose masterfully intertwines past memories and childhood experiences throughout the narrative, adding depth to the characters and enriching the story. As you piece together these snippets of the past, you come to realize that Rachel is not who you initially thought she was.
This book was a quick read for me, with its fast-paced plot keeping me on the edge of my seat. The constant twists and turns left me eager to uncover more clues and solve the mystery of who murdered Rachel.
*Till Death Do Us Part* is my first book by Willow Rose, and it certainly won’t be my last. I am eager to explore more of her work in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC copy of this book.
Willow Rose always leave me wanting and need more of her work and this is no different. From the characters to the plot it’s amazing
It was definitely suspenseful and had a lot of twists and turns- 4 stars because some of it was a bit complicated to follow and was really far fetched to me. I do recommend!
Rachel Baker suspects that her husband John is having another affair. It isn’t until Rachel goes missing after school drop off, that everyone begins to suspect John for more than a simple dalliance.
When FBI agent, Eve Rae Thomas, is called in to investigate Rachel’s disappearance she will leave no stone unturned. Eve knows there is more to this situation than meets the eye. But when one body turns up nothing can prepare her for the second. What happened to Rachel, and who is truly to blame.
Overall rating 4/5
I was really expecting this to be another Gone Girl, or A Simple Favor, but I was delightfully wrong. I did guess some of the major twists at the end but do love the subtle hints within the book that allude to the final outcome. I also value how Rose included an excerpt at the end of the book that included the headlines that influenced this book.
*Thank you to the Willow Rose, Netgalley and Buoy Media. I am freely leaving my honest review.
Willow Rose has written another interesting detective story, loosely based on real stories from the news. This book centers on a missing woman, the mother of 3 young children. She's in a bad patch with her husband and he's cheated on her before. When she turns up missing, her mother and sister are frantic. The police are focused on the husband.
This is a quick reading book and it's better to have read some of the previous stories to better understand the relationship between Eva Rae and Matt.
What in the.
I love messed up and this was messed up. So right up my alley to say the least.
When I requested this book, I didn't know it was part of a series (let alone #14 of the series). I read it with no problem at all, as it seems that this can be a stand alone book. Eva Rae and Matt I assume are characters that are in all of the novels, but I think each book is a different case, which makes them easy to pick up and read like I did.
This was a whirlwind of a read.
Thank you NetGalley and Bouy Media LLC Publishing for my DRC in exchange for my honest review.
Love Willow Rose books and anything Eva Rae Thomas will keep you up way past your bed time
Eva and her family will keep you wanting more
A gritty, intense, fast-paced, riveting, edgy thrill ride full of dark secrets, shocking plot twists and pulse-pounding, palpable tension. A MUST for fans who thrive on high octane. superbly-written, unputdownable thrillers!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
When a mother of three (Rachel) ends up missing, the FBI and local police are called to the case - a husband and wife team. Rachel’s husband has cheated before and she suspected he’s cheating again right before she went missing. Her family is beside themselves, convinced she’d never leave her kids willingly and they’ve never liked her husband.
With multiple timelines I was able to figure things out in the first half of the story. That said, I still enjoyed it! This is the 14th in a series, but my first. I would expect the main benefit to reading prior installments would be to have greater familiarity and backstory on the primary characters, but it can certainly be read on its own.
Thanks to NetGalley, Buoy Media and Willow Rose for the eARC.
This was a book that I didn't know was a part of a series but it functions well as a standalone story. This suspenseful tale had many twists and turns and even though I am pretty good at figuring out "whodunnit", the book kept me guessing right up to the end. I'd like to read more from Willow Rose and plan to finish this whole series.
Thank you NetGalley, Buoy Media, and Willow Rose for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for my opinion.
I didn’t realize this was part of a series until the end, which cleared up a few of my questions/resolved some of my comments. Overall, I enjoyed the plot & finished the book in two sprints. My biggest critique is that at times the dialogue felt repetitive, as if the characters sort of talked in circles. At one point there was a sentence about a smell hitting the character like a wall & a few lines later & they were closer it hit them like a ton of bricks. Repetitive use of similar similes is ultimately just a pet peeve & not at all an indicator of a bad book. I was going to rate this book 3 stars before realizing that it was a series but changed my mind to a 4 after realizing.
Great author. Lots of twists and turns in the story. Willow Rose books just keep getting better. Can't wait to read her next book !
It is a thriller that would have you cringing and gasping in outrage. My heart went out to the kids featured in this story. Some folks were born wicked and demented; this book's killer was such a one. It was captivating, gripping, and intriguing.
I had no clue that this book was part of a series, but I could read it with no problems as a standalone. Easy to get to know the characters, full of a few unexpected twists and turns. Would read again.
Till Death do Us Part is a well written mystery. It has a great plot and well developed characters. I recommend this book. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and Netgalley. This is an unbiased review.
I am thankful for authors like Willow Rose who can guarantee that I'll love their stories! She can't write fast enough to suit me. And Eva Rae Thomas is only one of her characters, also one of my favorites. I watch a lot of Dateline episodes on tv, and this could have been one of them, as I've seen similar true stories where a mom disappears, leaving children behind. The spouse is always the first suspect. Will that hold true with this missing mom?
I didn’t realize this was part of a series when I requested the ARC but that didn’t hinder my understanding of anything. Fast paced, quick read. The only downside was that there were multiple stories being told from different time frames/perspectives and the chapter markings didn’t give any indication which story line it was jumping to. Wasn’t too hard to figure out once you read a few lines or seen the names; I just like the heads up lol. Had a good twist at the end.
