Eurydice Dimitriou has always been the innocent sister, but she's finally ready to step out of the long shadow cast by her powerful family…and the ex who shattered her heart.
This romantasy, Greek mythology retelling is book 6 in the Dark Olympus series, which was what drew me to this book (and of course, the name Katee Robert didn't hurt!). However, I can't say that I enjoyed myself much. HOWEVER, it's entirely my bad for not doing my research before going into this one and thinking that, even though this is book 6 in the series, it could be read as an interconnected standalone the way a romcom could. I really had the impression I was thrown into the deep end, starting the story right in the middle, with no real grasp on what happened before and what was going on. So I spent most of my time lost, trying to put the pieces together, and mend the relationships between the characters, but I couldn't, and it kept me from really enjoying the story. I did enjoy the spice, but I like it better when the spice is well grounded, in relationships that make sense and that bring the plot forward. The narrators did a great job in the audio book.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Where to start with this book...
If you have read this series from book one you know exactly what you're getting into. The spice level is at an all-time high...again. The romance too. Katee Robert has a way with this series of drawing you to want to learn more about Olympus and wish you had paid attention in high school when you went over this subject. From Zeus to Hades to Achilles to Apollo, they all have the goods and I'm here for it. Also, the audiobook is magic!
Eurydice Dimitrious is stepping out from the shadows that her family and ex-boyfriend have cast over her and right into the arms of Charon Ariti. Little do they know that what they think they've found with one another is about more than just the two of them and also involves Orpheus Makos, Eurydice's ex-boyfriend. When love comes shattering down, Olympus might just go with it.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy of the audiobook of Midnight Ruin by Katee Robert in exchange for my honest review. It's fire...in a good way!

KATEE. Katee. Katee. My friend. I loved this book. Loved it. Loved. It. I cannot wait for where this series is heading. Cannot wait. This might be my new favorite one of the series.

Book six of the Dark Olympus series, Midnight Ruin, IS HERE! (Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an advanced electric copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!)
So two months ago when I closed Cruel Seduction, I was SO READY to have this book in my hands because I had SO. MANY. QUESTIONS! And some of those questions we/I got answers for in this book! Some of the mystery behind amino’s has been revealed, and yet, we have so much more to learn 😅
But also, I’ve been so curious about Eurydice’s character since the events in Neon Gods. Her storyline, plus her poly relationship with Charon and Orpheus was so good in this book and written beautifully. (Katee Robert’s had the perfect balance of spice and plot in these books!)
But now we have to wait til August to learn more of Ariadne & the Minotaur. I couldn’t be more excited!
