"Coach Yourself Confident" offers practical tools and insights to overcome self-doubt, drawing from real-life research and experiences. Julie Smith skillfully intertwines engaging stories with techniques, providing actionable steps to boost confidence. While I found the pacing occasionally slow and sometimes struggled to feel a true connection, the practical tools offered proved to be a valuable resource for increasing confidence.
I have recently been promoted to a management position. This book helped me combat my imposter syndrome. The author gave very thorough and actionable plans an how improve confidence in many different situations. I took lots of notes & highlighted large portions of the book. I can’t wait to use these theories in my everyday life.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an eARC for an honest review.
A very inspiring guide to finding self-confidence. Each chapter is easy to read with exercises to encourage you to reflect and take action, particularly if you need confidence in a work situation. The summing up at the end of each chapter is really useful. A book to keep around in your daily life.
"Coach Yourself Confident: Ditch the Self-Doubt Tax, Unlock Humble Confidence" offers a somewhat ambiguous journey towards self-assurance. While the title promises a bold approach to overcoming self-doubt, the content often tiptoes around definitive strategies, leaving readers feeling uncertain. Although the concept of "unlocking humble confidence" is intriguing, the wishy-washy delivery may leave readers searching for clearer guidance and tangible tools to truly bolster their confidence. I didn’t connect with this book as much I would have liked.
"Coach Yourself Confident" is a business book filled with real-life client stories that illustrate how we can all benefit from investing in ourselves. But don't worry, you won't turn into a raving egomaniac because the author is all about increasing humble confidence. I particularly appreciated the author's mantra for boosting confidence, which I've incorporated into my daily routine. The book offers practical exercises that are both easy to understand and implement.
Initially, I was unsure if this book would be relevant to me, as the author typically works with high-level executives, unlike myself. However, I soon realized that if it's doubts about your abilities rather than an actual lack of ability that hold you back, this book is precisely what you need.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book! Confidence is something that almost everyone could use some tips on. This book gives various activities to complete to work on increasing confidence and real life examples of things others have struggled with.
