Til Death Do Us Part started off strong, but towards the middle I just couldn't get into it anymore and was a little confused with certain things. Also this is book 14 in a series so maybe that's why I didn’t feel very connected to the characters.
✨️ Thank you to @netgalley, @dreamscape for my free ALC in exchange for an honest review.
So I believe this is the second book of hers that I’ve read…and from what I remember, the outlines are similar…
This one is told in dual timelines…
One is present day, the other was years ago.
The weird thing is that they do NOT seem to line up in any way, shape or form. And so you are reading and trying to figure out what one story has to do with the other…
Until it all clicks…
And your jaw drops…
In present day we have a young couple with young children. The wife knows he has a history of cheating, and is afraid he’s up to the same shenanigans again. But she swears this is it. She’s going to leave him…
And then she disappears…
Weird, because her Dad has been MIA for years…but there’s a link to him now that she’s gone. 😮
In the past the picture is painted of two young girls and their Mom.
The Mom is out there, and apparently, off the wall crazy!
She punishes her girls for not doing things perfectly…(like finding a dust ball under the bed…crazy!! And, they’re just KIDS!)
It’s disturbing to actually read some of these scenes…so if you’re squeamish, you may want to bypass parts of this one…
The way Willow Rose paints the pictures for you is amazing…
Makes you feel like you are there living it with them…
And the way it’s wrapped up in the end… 😮😮😮
Never saw it coming!
3 1/2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 for me, rounded up to 4.

As always, Happy Reading, and thanks for reading along with me! 📚📖
It was ok. Predictable. I didn’t care very much for the writing style. It could have been so much better!
I received an arc of this audiobook. It was fast paced and kept me intrigued! I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fast paced mystery!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for an audio of this novel.
This book was so incredibly quick and thrilling! I very much enjoyed it, and have since gone back to listen to previous books in the series.
FBI Agent Eva Rae Thomas is working a case on a mother who has gone missing, leaving three children and her husband behind. It's hinted that she could be suicidal, having an affair, or in an abusive marriage and her husband did it. But what's the truth?
This book was read fine as a standalone - I truly didn't even realize it was a series until I looked into it after. Often I get bored during thrillers, but not this one! Willow Rose had me questioning everything throughout, and I had no inkling as to what actually happened.
The narrator did a great job - perfect for the roles she was taking on. Would recommend!
This is my first Eva Rae mystery even though it's book 14. I've probably missed whole sections of previous background story but I didn't feel like it stopped me from reading this as a standalone. And it will probably be a one off for me too. It didn't suck me in to her world or leave me desperate to go back and start from the beginning.
For a detective story, there wasn't much sleuthing going on, just a lot of running around from murder to murder. And her husband Matt seemed like a bit of a dick as a detective, dismissing witnesses and not contributing to the investigation much at all.
I'm sure if you've started from the beginning, you'd enjoy catching up with old friends, but I couldn't distinguish it from many other standard detective reads.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape for this book to review.
This book was a huge mind game for me. Just when you think you have the mystery solved new things evolve and you have to start from the beginning. This was the first mystery/thriller that I’ve read that actually gave me chills. Great listen, the narrator's did a fantastic job!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this book in exchange for my honest feedback!
Mystery and domestic drama misses the mark.
A wife and mother of three, Rachel Baker, disappears on her way to work one morning. As is typical, her husband is the primary suspect especially once the police find that he was having an affair and that Rachel had purchased some plane tickets to make an escape.
FBI Agent Eva Rae Thomas and her boyfriend, Detective Matt Miller, investigate and interview everyone connected to Rachel and her husband, John. Rachel's mother and sister are wild with worry and are convinced that John has killed Rachel. John hides the children from his mother-in-law and everything gets really ugly -- then Rachel's body is found.
Told in a past and present narrative with the murder case being foremost, the secondary story line is the voice of a little girl who, along with her sisters, is being horribly abused by a psycho mother.
I don't imagine anyone will be surprised by the connection. In fact, the entirety of this plot is predictable and overwrought. The dialog is repetitive and full of melodrama and angst as everyone is so overcome all the time with emotion. The detective work seems superficial, and Eva Rae and Matt do a lot of running around accomplishing little, and also being just a beat too late.
I did not realize that this was the 14th in a series when I requested the audiobook from NetGalley. Jumping into this at this point proved merely a minor irritant as I failed to appreciate the one-dimensional characters regardless of what could have been the backstory. The rapid wrap up at the end and the set up for the next book left me feeling underwhelmed.
Thank you for granting access to the ARC but I doubt I will read any other books in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This book packed a punch! There were so many threads in this story and everything was tied up so cleanly in the end. My jaw was on the floor during the flash back chapters because of the mother’s cruelty. I really enjoyed the mystery in this book and how everything came together in the end. This could be read as a standalone and that is how I read it as I did not know it was part of a series. I enjoyed Eva Rae as a character and look forward to reading more in this series.
Great Find. An unexpected pleasure. I hadn't read this author before but was gifted this audiobook by NetGalley in conjunction with Dreamscape Media.
This story was gripping from the get-go. Not knowing what to expect was even better. There are 2 different storylines going on and you have no idea what they have to do with each other until you do, then WHOA!
The plot is all about control and fear and low-key disturbing. This definitely falls into the Domestic/Psychological Suspense category. I didn't find it graphic or gratuitously descriptive.
This is part of a series that follows the FBI agent, but read perfectly as a stand alone. I will definitely go back and read more.
Till Death Do Us Part captivated me with its expertly crafted thriller narrative. The skillful writing and engaging storyline kept me hooked throughout. While the abundance of side characters adds complexity, their significance becomes clear by the end but it demands greater focused and attention to understand the plot. Despite having an idea of where the storyline would go, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and appreciated how every element seamlessly converged in the end. Overall I would recommend this book as it is a short engaging thriller.

Rachel Baker had gone from a controlling, manipulative mother to a controlling manipulative husband. They have three young children. Rachel needed her job as a nurse practitioner to preserve her sanity.
Her husband, John, believes she should be at home taking care of their children and not working.
It seems no one is happy – the children are fighting, Rachel and John are fighting,
To top off everything John flirts in front of her.
Now Rachel has disappeared. She took the children to daycare. Her car was found on the side of the road, but there’s no trace of her anywhere.
Although FBI Agent Eva Rae Thomas is in the middle of renovating her house with her boyfriend, Detective Matt Miller, she drops everything when she is called regarding this case.
She knows Rachel, as their children are at the same pre-school friends, and has no problem taking over, trying to find her friend and fellow mom.
This story kept me curious. I love a good thriller and this did not disappoint. I enjoyed it.
Story left me thinking about Eva and Matt and I am looking forward to #15 in this series.
I call myself an author, Willow Rose fan; although I have only read a few in this series and she written over 70 novels as well as several series.
I follow several series with smart strong females - Melinda Leigh’s - Bree Taggert, Lisa Regan’s-Josie Quinn, Linda Castillo’s-Kate Burkholder,: Elly Griffiths -Ruth Galloway, and James Patterson’s-Lindsey Boxer. I just added D.K Hood’s- Beth Katz! Now adding Willow Rose’s – Eva Rae Thomas!!

Thanks to Dreamscape Audio, NetGalley, author Willow Rose, and narrator Rebecca Cade for the pleasure of listening and reading this advance copy. I have been a longtime fan of Willow Rose’s writing and this book was a great example of her immense talent at work. The story of a young mom going missing and everyone blaming the husband is par for the course but leave it to this brilliant author to throw some major twists in there that you won’t see coming and I think she will have you hooked. Definitely a 5 star recommendation from me.

Series no 14 Eva Rae Thomas mystery
I had the audiobook read by Rebecca Cade. Not my favourite narrator but I settled into her style. Her young voices are good, the male voices not the best but it’s a stretch for one narrator to cover such a range, so overall she does a good job.
I thought it might be a huge mistake as it’s late on in the series and my first book by this author. However it works well as a standalone it’s totally self contained. There’s no cryptic references to previous cases.
A woman goes missing leaving her children behind. Her family are convinced that something untoward has happened.
There’s a second emotionally charged thread providing a dual time line. I’m not sure that the way it was presented was necessary, although the thread worked to enhance the story.
The writing style has a more formal approach, my preference is for a more relaxed chatty style. It’s an easy listen, however it’s a bit on the tame side for me although it has a decent pace. There are plenty of allegations, counter allegations, and shocking reveals.
I enjoyed the plot, I think it’s mostly the combination of the writing style and the narrator that’s stopping me from gelling with this one more. It’s obviously a popular series with a big following.
This was one of the most disturbing books I have read, probably ever, definitely in recent years. No one can deny Willow Rose's skill at writing stories that captivate her readers, but I found this one equally repellant.. Eva Rae has long been an interesting character, and that holds true in this book. However, the dual timeline and obvious child abuse, combined with the devastating impact this case has on all concerned, render this a particularly disquieting read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ALC. I tried so hard to get through this but I was so confused half way through that I gave up. It felt very jumbled and I couldn’t get into it.
Thanks to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeSelect for the book #TillDeathDoUsPart by #WillowRose. This book was full of suspense, drama, abuse and murder. It is a wild ride ending with a crazy twist.
This was the 14th book in the series, which was not mentioned anywhere in the NetGalley synopsis. I would never have requested it had I known but it turns out, this book could be read as a stand-alone. I could tell I was missing a significant amount of backstory for the main character. I will go back and listen to the first 13 because I thought the story was well written and the detective, Eva Rae, is so likable. I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrator, great voices for each character as well portraying emotions. Highly recommend this one, I feel like a good book like this can only be better by reading the series in order!

*Can be read as a standalone*
Rachel Baker, a loving mother of three, vanished into thin air after dropping off her children at daycare. Her family is convinced that the culprit is none other than her husband. But is he the real culprit, or is there something more sinister at play? Enter FBI Agent Eva Rae Thomas, a tenacious investigator determined to uncover the truth. Will she be able to solve the case and bring justice to Rachel?
This story may have had many moving parts, but they all came together nicely in the end. Anyone who enjoys mystery thrillers with unexpected twists will enjoy this!
***Thank you to NetGalley, Willow Rose, and Dreamscape Select for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.***
This was a good book. It wasn’t crazy or anything like that. It was a story about a mother/wife who went missing and they found her body and she was dead. The story is about trying to figure out who killed her. Of course the husband was a suspect. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook as they solved the case. I especially liked how there were flashbacks to the past and how that was brought into the story in the end. The ending unloaded a lot of information at one time, but it was a good ending.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC.
