An inspiring read! The author talks like a friend would - she is open in her sharing and relatable.
It takes courage to share about the voices you carry from your childhood in your mind and how they instruct you in your life - The author broke free and has created a life for herself - overcoming that voice and chronic pain and disability - I felt like she showed me that it is still possible to have a different outcome - to life a different life everyday.
I especially enjoyed some of her poems, and the notes/reminders to self - I've highlighted quite a few for myself to go back and read again.
Her poem on broken and damaged - an aha for me!
I really enjoyed reading this book. The emotion is real, and it is raw. The author puts herself out there, good and bad, to help others. I also love that she used multiple ways to communicate. Great read!
