It made me cry and it made me laugh out loud. Best Sharon Sala Book Ever! Traci Odom is an awesome narrator. I love her performance and the way she has a great characterization on each character and just a pitch perfect performance of the whole book. This is a book that was light on the romance and also light on the suspense. There was no mystery involved on either front and that was a minor disappointment. What was not a disappointment was the warm, cozy feelings you got from the people living on Pope Mountain.
Amalie Lincoln spent two weeks in Jubilee, Kentucky and Pope Mountain spoke to her. She packed up her life and moved there seeking a new start. Amalie's life has never been a bed of roses, but she just knew Jubilee was where she was meant to be and was excited to open her CPA firm there. As fate seemed to be directing her life, she hires Sean Pope to install her new computer system and a circle is completed.
Sean Pope knows a lot about the hard knocks in life and he knew Amalie had had a few too. He also knew she seemed really, really familiar, but he just couldn't place from where. When they figure out that they had been together for third grade, that time came back along with the feelings they had for each other as children who found comfort in each other.
On the day Sean and Amalie reconnect there is evil afoot in another part of the country that will directly impact Jubilee. When a helicopter explodes over Jubilee, neither Sean or Amalie could possibly know exactly how much that event would impact their lives or that is would put Amalie in danger. Sean knew he would protect her just like he did when he was a nine-year-old kid, and he also knows he is never going to let her go.
My thanks to the Publisher and Author for providing a complimentary digital audio Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

I’m going to be honest, I just really couldn’t get into this audiobook. I probably should have stopped, but it just didn’t keep my attention

I seriously don't know how Sharon Sala does it. She sucks you into her books right off the bat. I was stressed and then relieved. I cried and laughed. This book is beyond amazing, and I truly love the Jubilee town and all the Pope people. I highly recommend that if you're looking for a feel good, that will also put you at the edge of your seat. Loved every second of this book.

Amalie moves to Jubilee after recovering from a car accident that left her with scars. There she meets Sean Pope - or rather, sees him for the first time since he defended her from bullies in elementary school. Their connection is immediate, but things are happening that put their lives in danger.
This return to Pope Mountain can be read alone, though those familiar with the previous novels will enjoy the glimpses into the lives of the brothers. I didn’t find much tension in the first half as the villain was revealed early. Narrator Odom differentiated characters well with both accents and intonation. Purchase where previous Pope Mountain books are in demand.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a review audiobook. All opinions expressed are my own.

One terrible car accident left Amelie with scars on her skin. In need of a fresh start, she moves to Kentucky where she reunites with Sean pope a kid she knew when they were children’s.
It was such a great read fast pace that I was hooked. It was wild & intense, full of accidents & murders. The romance was vey sweet.
Although, this is book 3 out of the Jubilee, Kentucky series it can be read as a stand-alone.
Got this ARC from NetGalley and I’m leaving an honest review

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio of this novel.
This book was dramatic, thrilling, and long. We follow Amalie, an orphan who is on a search for her birth parents. She stumbles across an old friend from her childhood, Sean, who helped her when she was dealing with bullies and she's never forgotten him. Together, they deal with the outcome of a helicopter accident in their town, and figure out who was actually behind it.
I felt like the plot was never-ending. We'd get this great conclusion (like who caused the helicopter crash and the reasoning behind it), but then we'd continue into looking into a past case. While I did stay interested in the plot, I think it became fatiguing after a while. It might have been trying to do too much/settle too many plot points that had been introduced prior.
The narrator did a good job, no complaints.

I loved this title. It brought me to tears more than once. What a beautiful love story and a story of finding and forgiveness. The characters were relatable and I can see multiple spin-offs from this one title. It makes me want to visit Pope's Mountain!

This is book 3 in a series, but it’s the first for me and though I might have benefitted from some references in my opinion can be read as a stand along and will still be quite enjoyable.
Amalie has not had an easy life. From being abandoned as an infant to a difficult life in foster care, aging out alone and then terrible accident she chooses to leave the only place she has called home and start anew in Jubilee. A new life, business and hopefully new friends and some peace. She hires Sean to help her set up her tech for her new business and the chemistry is off the charts. After discovering their previous connection, they embark on a new relationship. All is wonderful until a series of terrible things occur putting so many in danger and leaving bodies and terrible destruction in the path. I enjoyed the road to a terrific happily ever after. The Popes are a special family. A little off beat, but loving and they take care of their own.

2.5 rounded up, because I think Lifetime movie fans will enjoy this.
This is a soap opera in book form, complete with an improbably wealthy, stoic father who lost his child at birth (through no fault of his own), a 2D cartoon villain gold digger, and very clean lines between who is good and who is bad.
The villainess new wife grated on me - she’s despicable because she only wants his money, but he only married her because she’s a hot young thing playacting the obsequious little lady. They’re equally superficial, they deserve each other!
The lawyer bugged me, too - he’s openly disdainful of his client and phones in his casework for her in a way that should get him disbarred! I don’t understand why she wouldn’t hire new counsel, the sort of amoral mercenaries who get criminals like OJ Simpson and Donald Trump off? She’s the sole heiress of three wealthy ex-husbands, so if we figure them at 30M each, she has 90M in the bank (even without Wolf’s money). Make it make sense.
Speaking of, with three wealthy men in the ground she’s so rich her motivation to spend 4 years on charming Wolf and trying to bomb him (hardly a discreet assassination plot) doesn’t make sense. That needed further clarification.
