This book has gentle illustrations and includes three brief stories. The artwork is nice, but the stories felt unsatisfying to me, since none of them have plots. I get that these stories are supposed to be snapshots of the character's everyday life, but slice-of-life stories can still have narrative arcs, and this left me wanting more. The illustrations are the main appeal factor.
A cute short book about how small things in your life can change things for the better. At first a little dark and sad, but it changed pretty quickly when little Shrew got his tv.
A delightful little book about the small pleasures in day to day life. The book is wholesome with beautiful art pieces throughout. I loved Little Shrew with his little nose and tail! I think the actual text could fit more with the art, maybe a softer font to fit the vibe. Overall a simple book about simple things, with lots of heart. Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for an E-ARC. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.
This is such a beautiful little book, with illustrations that have muted colors to show the routine of life. Little Shrew enjoys life and works hard, finding simple pleasures like snacking in the open air during a break and getting off the bus a stop early on nice days to walk.
Watching Little Shrew take pleasure in the little things is like getting a warm hug. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
