What a wonderful tribute to Motherhood. The bond between Mother and Daughter is a very special one and should be cherished. This book shows it very well. Though I am a Grandma now I still have a strong bond with my Daughter as ahe does with her Daughter. This is a great gift for any Mother, Grandmother or Mom to be.
The book is simple and sweet, with a loving message. I found the art to be beautiful and captivating and I can see parents enjoying this book. I think it would be a lovely addition to a family home collection or a public library, but I wouldn't put it in my school library as I don't believe it would appeal to students or meet teachers needs, unless learning about mother's day or families.
A picture book about the importance of calling your mother. Even though this was a picture book for me it was bittersweet.
This is a heartwarming little book that celebrates the importance of mothers. I think there are times when we all need a mother's comfort, so the message in the book resonated with me,

Perfect book for single mothers imho.
On one hand, I agree a lot of us are so dependent on our moms, regardless of their marital status.
The slightly confusing bit for me is... so fathers are useless?
Hope they came up with one that showcases fathers who bother to commit as much as their wives, or even more.
I have seen many committed fathers from my generation as well...
Just saying.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What a sweet read! I'm going to be a new mom soon and this book resonated with me. I can't wait to read children's books once the baby is here.
This book hit home so much. I lost my own mother about 3 years ago and this book was just so sweet. I wish I called my mom more and loved on her more.
Call Your Mother by Tracy C. Gold is a beautiful picture book that perfectly captures motherhood. It's a love story about the growth and development of children and them needing their mother at every level of life. The sweet, silly rhyme scheme propels the work forward and the story line perfectly captures modern life. I can't lie, this book make me want to call my mother. I recommend this story to parents who wants to celebrate family and motherhood with their children.
Thank you to NetGalley and Familius for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a wholesome loving book about motherhood and the enduring bond between a mother and her child. The illustrations are colorful, beautiful and elegant while the narrative is as both touching and heartwarming that spanned through infancy to adulthood. This was one of the best books I’ve read and really made me appreciate my mother more.
Beautiful pictures with soft colors that please the eye. The story is so touching I cried and it made me think of my mothers favorite book "I'll love you forever". I can't wait to send this to my mom and grandma once it's published.
This was a very cute book. I feel like it’s more for the mom than the baby you’re reading it to since it has more adult themes. But altogether very adorable!
This is such a tender and sweet ode to mothers. I call my mother for everything, so this book hit home for me. Through the rough and late nights, tantrums and outbursts, the new mom in this book is reminded to call her mom for help. Once her child grows up and has her own child, she too calls on her mom for those tough moments. There’s nothing like being able to lean on and cherish your mother, and this is a perfect reminder to do just that.
I am itching for a physical copy for our shelves!
Thank you o much to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC! All opinions are my own.
This is a sweet book. We should all have a copy of this book. Mother's ate important and knowledgeable. I always need my mother, and I always call my mother. And I love it when my grown children call me.
I received an advance review copy for free; this review is 100% honest and my own opinion, and I wrote it voluntarily.
“Call Your Mother” by Tracy Gold is a cute little story about the bond between a child and their mother from infancy through adulthood. It brings to mind “Love You Forever” by Robert N. Munsch but from the child’s point of view. The illustrations and palette are beautiful. The reds and pinks are warming. If you are a parent who needs a reminder that even if your child is having a difficult moment, it’s because they need you.
Thank you to Tracy Gold and Familius for my complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Beautifully illustrated, the simple yet sweet sentiment of calling your mother and all the ways you may need her was beautiful to see. Reading all the ways in life the daughter may need their mother and her growing up and those ways changing. I also noticed and loved the inclusivity of the book, the darker skin tone, the use of "first love" instead of 'first boyfriend' and not showing the daughters partner and merely a figure. Small and simple things like this really makes the book feel more cozy and heartfelt and it goes a long way.
Would definitely reccommend to any mother with a daughter!
This is a beautiful picture book. The illustrations were lovely. What drew me in was the gorgeous cover and I enjoyed each page within!
I liked that there was a page that looked the same as the cover - I found that the coloration embodies what it is depicting: a mother’s love for her child. A safe, comforting embrace.
It goes through the journey of mother and child through every stage from baby, to toddler, to teenage and into adulthood. It then shows that the mother has become a grandmother, her child now is a mother herself.
It shows the circle of life through the eyes of a mother and hoping her child will always find comfort in her through the life stages.
The sentence structure was great!
I didn’t expect to feel so strongly about a picture book! As a new parent (to a 4 month old) reading it, I was moved by it. To be quite honest, I was misty-eyed. I see myself in this book, my mom and I are so close. I call her through all life’s ups and downs and chat about everything under the sun in regards to my newfound role as a mother myself.
I highly recommend this book to gift to parents-to-be, to mother’s with young children, to mothers and grandmothers for Mother’s Day etc
Thank you for creating this book!
This was the sweetest book! Though short, it was touching, and felt honest and raw. The illustrations were beautiful, and the rhyming words made for a quick read. It made me want to call my mom immediately.
This was a real treat of a book. The words are perfectly aimed at the preschool/junior group and the rhyming is easy to read. It was more emotional (in a good way!) than I was expecting! This would make a gorgeous book to keep and reread through the years. A lovely idea for a gift for a grandparent to read to the grandkids too. Definitely one I could see becoming a classic.
As a mom now myself this one had me cryinnnggg the whole time reading it to my boys and also made me what to call my own mom. Such a great story about how your mom will (or should) always be there through everything.
As a mom of a now two year old, this hit me in all the feels! I absolutely loved it. I would totally get this for my daughter one day too. It's so short and simple, but gets the message across. A great display of the joys and struggles of motherhood.
