It was okay. I picked up this ARC because of two other series I read from Anne Marie Meyer and loved them, but this one just didn't hit the spot like the others. It is a cute book and it did have it's moments

This was a very cute sweet romance and the inspiration behind it had me questioning which way the author was going to take it. The book is about a football player and up un coming singer. Emerson and Stone always had a connection from their teenage years but something happens and things change for both of them. They both thought something had happen to the other but, when you finally get to the point in the story to find the truth. You will have the ol dang moment, I wish in the story things could recover from the past to the present. If you are looking for a palette cleanser, definitely check it out.

Really wanted to like this one because the idea was good and I’m a sucker for he falls first. However, this one felt underdeveloped and the third act gave me whiplash as it felt like it came out of nowhere. I’m not usually one to say a book needs to be longer but this one could have used some more explanation and relationship development.

However, while the story has its highlights, it often feels rushed and lacks the depth needed to fully develop its characters and their conflicts. Key plot points, such as the tension between Emerson’s family and Stone, are introduced but not fully explored, leaving some of the emotional stakes feeling underwhelming. The relationship between Emerson and Stone, while sweet, progresses quickly without much time spent on meaningful interaction or growth, making the romance feel a bit too instant and convenient.

For those looking for a light, trope-filled read with minimal drama and a wholesome romance, Lucky Charm delivers. It’s a cute, heartwarming story perfect for a cozy afternoon, but if you’re hoping for a deeper, more intricate plot or stronger character development, it might leave you wanting more. Three out of five stars for its enjoyable premise and endearing characters, but it could have benefited from more focus and fleshing out of its promising elements.

Emerson has always had a crush on Stone, her brother's ex-best friend. Stone well he has always been in love with Emerson but her family hates him. She is an aspiring singer and he is an NFL player. What happens when she moves in next door to Stone? Well sparks fly and a whole lot more.

I loved this cute romance and enjoyed the story line and the happy ending. If you love Anne-Maire Meyer books you will enjoy this wonderful read.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Emerson and Stone. They have known each other for all their lives. Stone was Emerson’s brother best friend, until he wasn’t. They meet again in Nashville, where Emerson is trying to have a career as a singer. Stone is a receiver for the Tennessee Tigers. They decide to fake date to get agents to notice Emerson. They date. They decide to make it real and fall in love.

This is a light and easy ready and perfect for Taylor Swift fans. While the idea for the book was inspired by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, I love that the story was completely unique. I do wish that it was a bit more in-depth with Stone and Emerson, Maybe it was missing a bit more spice and I feel like there are some loose ends but regardless, it's an easy and fun read.

Lucky Charm is about two former friends who became acquaintances and began a fake relationship. Despite having known each other for the majority of their lives, Stone and Emmerson are at odds at the start of the novel. Beautifully written!

Lucky Charm was a sweet story! It's a light and fast-paced romance about an NFL player and an aspiring singer. Yes, it's ACTUALLY inspired by Taylor and Travis - it's in the dedication and everything. I will say though, don't go into it thinking it directly reflects Taylor and Travis' story, because the characters' occupations are where the similarities end. Stone and Emerson were both likeable characters and I really enjoyed the actual lucky charm aspect of the story - super cute. ☘️ There are a couple questions I still have though. I wish they got together a little sooner so we could see more of their relationship. Overall, I recommend this for those who need a fun and easy romance to escape into. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Cute quick read. Easily finished in a day. Wish it dived a little deeper into the relationship building and bussing piece of their relationship. Read more like a novella based on how it glossed over certain parts.

Lucky Charm is a little bit Taylor/Travis coded but definitely different enough where its not just a replica of their story. I will agree with other reviewers that the ending seems so rushed. It was about 70% into the book when the fake dating actually started and then it was full steam ahead until the end. Which was fine, but also there was so much not covered including really delving into the family issues and some sort of discussion about what truly happened in the prologue.

The closest to Taylor/Travis that I'll ever get!

When I read this quote, I knew I'd devour this book once I got my hands on it...and I was right.

An NFL player and an aspiring singer, who used to be close friends in high school until they weren't. Then when fate intervenes and they end up being neighbors who need to fake date - you can just pick my heart up off the floor, cuz I was a goner for this story.

I was sad to see the story end, and wish I could read it again for the first time. This would be perfect for any readers looking for a sweet romance with second chances, forced proximity, and fake dating! I found it utterly charming and the audiobook was just as great.

This was a sweet second chance story with a professional football player and aspiring singer. They'd grown up in the same hometown. He was best friends with her brother at one time until a huge falling out with him and her family. Since then, there was no direct communication between them until they she moves into his building and all the feelings they once had for one another come crashing back. Yet they both deny them.

As the story progresses, they get to know one another again - - even better than before. And you also find that Stone had kept up with Emerson and knew she was trying to make it as a musical artist. I really enjoyed this storyline. I always seem to enjoy second chance stories, but this one had a different feel and it was a bit unusual which made it even more fun to read.

I enjoyed this story, but the beginning was tough for me to get through. I am not sure why the writing style didn't flow for me, at first. Once I got to the fake dating part, the book seemed to flow. I really enjoyed the banter between Emerson and Stone. Halfway through the book, the banter picked up which caught my attention. Stone's passion for Emerson was written well. I loved their tension and confessions towards the end. This book could have included more of the characters past to show how close they used to be as teenagers. The family aspects of this story could been expanded. Emerson knows Stone because he was her brother's best friend, but we don't really know her brother. She calls with her mom towards the end, but why is she not in contact with her brother. It could have ended with Stone voicing his side of what happened in the past, and her brother forgiving him. Emerson's story seems concluded and focused on, but I would have liked to feel some resolution for Stone's story, as well.

A very cheesy and hallmark type of book. I love this new little "taylors version" of the novel, and that says a lot because i am not big on trendy things. It was well written and adorable and will be recommending

Overall, this was a very sweet story, I just wish there was a little more character development but other than that I really liked it!

Super cute love story. Girl falls in love with brothers best friend is a story many can relate to throw in all the obstacles in their way and you are hooked until the very last page. I definitely fell in love with the characters and it made me sad when it was over.

I really enjoyed 99% of this story. I feel like it’s the perfect rom-com for those who enjoy sweet love stories without the spice. The only part that I did not enjoy was the ending, because some of the writing was cringey to me, which is why I normally don’t like spice in books. However, the majority of this book having no spice and just being a sweet rom-com, I absolutely loved and I would definitely recommend.
