OMG! I LOVED this book! Just can't stress how much I LOVED and adored this funny, clever and witty mystery romance! Guys, it was such a FABULOUS read! The banter between Riley and Nick is perfect! Just the right amount of spice. The perfect amount of thrilling suspense. Just PERFECT!

We have psychics, an ex-cop turned P.I. that is insanely HOT and commitment phobic, meddlesome and nosy elderly neighbors, a bunch of gun-toting bad guys and an asshole ex husband. So many intricate details that make one awesome book! I can not wait to read the whole series!

Readers who love funny rom-coms with a twist of murder will LOVE this! One of my top 5 reads of this year!

I love Lucy Score - she writes well and I have enjoyed any books I have read from her. This mix of mystery and romance came together great. For the most part it kept a fast pace, while also throwing in some humor that kept me laughing while also wanting to figure out the several mysteries they kept unfolding. This was an easy, quick read for me and I really like it!

This book was fun and cute… but way, way too long. I almost quit when realized I was only 10% in and had been reading for hours.

I enjoyed the humor and silly scenario, but ultimately I probably can’t recommend a book of this length/ substance. Looking forward to reading more from this author, however!

While trying to ignore her psychic abilities, Riley Thorn is just trying to live her miserable life. When she stumbles on her dead neighbor, the hijinks ensure. Lots of kooky characters, a solid, steamy love interest and lots of humor--this was a great read. AND there is already a sequel. I'm definately following this one up. Recommended.

I absolutely love any book that Lucy Score writes. How does she do it? All of her books are fun but have so much heart, this one included! Keep them coming, Lucy!

this book was entertaining and lucy score has a fun writing style! the side characters were a little obnoxious and campy but overall this was a silly/goofy good time. the chemistry between riley and nick was prettily solidly built and while the plot felt a little slow at times it was still an entertaining (cozy?) whodunnit
im definitely interested in the rest of the series

This was such a fun book. I think I read it in a day and a half and enjoyed the hell out of it.

Score's writing is witty and engaging, filled with lively banter and endearing characters that leap off the page. From the quirky residents of Maple Falls to the sizzling chemistry between Maggie and Asher, every aspect of the story is infused with charm and humor.

I enjoyed this funny adventure romance. The characters are eccentric and fun. They mystery moves at a good pace with a few twists. Riley and Nick have lots of chemistry and sarcastic banter. This was a very entertaining book. I was fully invested and read it in one day.

Lucy Score is an auto-buy reader for me, and this was another great read. Its funny, romantic, and has a fun element of a mystery.

I really enjoyed this book! Even though it was a little on the longer side for a romance boo, it was still a super fast read! The action was so fun and kept the story moving!
The book does a nice job balancing trying to solve the case, Riley learning to use her psychic powers, and the romance between Nick and Riley! If you enjoy fake dating and slow burn, this is a great book to read!

I've read several Lucy Score books and she tends to have a certain writing style. With this book she definitely stepped out of her norm. It was a cute book but some parts were over-the-top silly but it kind of worked with this book just with how it was written in general. Wasn't my favorite Lucy Score book but it was definitely cute.

Lucy Score is one of the best Authors! This book was an easy read, I had a hard time putting it down o nce I begun reading. This was adorable and funny. A light hearted book. 10/10

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I’m typically a big fan of Lucy’s style of rom com, but this murder-mystery, fortune telling storyline didn’t hit the same. A light, easy read nonetheless.

The dead guy next door by Lucy score

It took me a while to get to this book and I read and put it down and read a little more and put it down.

Honestly I could not get into this book, I did give it a good try though but could not finish this title. The constant conversation to make the story go was not my style. The “hero of the story was not believable”

A woman speaking to her breasts… that was another put off for me… the characters don’t seem legit.

I don’t like scoring books so low if they are not my cup of tea but this one was achingly tough to read.

I really loved this story!!! I love a good romantic mystery, and this story was classic Lucy Score-- captivating, hilarious, and completely lovely. I loved Riley and Nick so much; they are so clearly into each other but have some emotional hang-ups and real life things standing in their way to having a chance to be happy with one another. I love how they both acknowledge their attraction and feelings for one another so quickly, even though it takes a while for them to commit to each other (or even the idea of a "togetherness"). and all the misfits of justice this story has make it hilarious on top of lovely. I really loved reading this and can't wait to get into the next in the series.

What a fun, quirky read! I adored the banter between Riley and Nick, and loved reading about their developing relationship. I definitely giggled more than once.

What a cute romcom mystery!

Riley is a psychic who hates her gifts and Nick is a single bachelor who's loving his freedom. The make a cute fake couple as they work together to solve a mystery and balance family, work, and home life. Doesn't help that Riley lives with quirky elderly, has an eccentric family, and is followed around by a teddy bear giant.

The banter between Riley and Nick is perfect. This is not a love at first sight book but you can tell that they're perfect together. Nick goes into protective mode almost right away while Riley pushes his buttons every chance she gets.

The only thing I did not really like was the final conflict. The banter was more childlike and long-winded. Other than that, this book was a perfect quick read rinse your palate while reading a longer series!

What a fun story! I love a good mystery and then the humor was top notch to keep me entertained throughout! Also, the relationships were fun to watch develop. This book is perfect when you want an easy, fun read!
