Ever wondered that you might get lost without your mobile? Do you try to stay away from your mobile intentionally sometimes ?
I sometimes feel like we use our phones always that if that’s lost we won’t be able to manage like few generations did before us!
One by one is story of six couples getting lost in the woods with no way to contact anyone for help. One by one they get attacked and we keep guessing who is the killer. I really liked the housemaid series and the author gave a another good thriller where I was again left to guess who was the bad guy till the last page! I don’t want to give away a lot of details, so I am gonna just say, pick up this one if you need a fast paced thriller or a break from your usual books.

I have to be honest I’ve read quite a few Frieda McFadden books and this one is my least favorite but I can’t deny that fact that this author ALWAYS brings the twists!
Three couples set out on couple's vacation. Their mini van dies in the middle of nowhere, leaving them lost in the woods. Someone is trying to kill them, or maybe they are being terrorized by a rabid coyote. Who knows, after a while, I started to get annoyed that the here was no new information being added just the same findings.
The main character Claire talks about how her marriage is coming to and end with her husband Noah and the dynamics in all the relationships start to change as we delve further into the book. There is an anonymous person thrown into the mix every couple chapters talking about his or her disturbing upbringing.
The ending was just down right anticlimatic. Although I didn’t see what happened coming. The motive for the killings was just very unrealistic or believable. Thank you NetGalley for the digital version of this read.

Another fantastic, jaw dropping, thrilling book from Freida McFadden! I sped through this book and lemme tell yall, it was 100% worth the read. Frieda never disappointments and this is just another example of how amazing her writing is.

ARC REVIEW:
Another great book from Miss Freida McFadden! I finished this book so quickly and it was hard having to put it down. I thought I would finally figure out the ending to one of Freida’s book but once again her psychological skills proved me wrong.
Six friends go out to the woods for a week long trip and once their car breaks down they have no choice but to rely on one another. This book messed with my mind so much. I kept wondering how these characters were disappearing and who or what was responsible for them. It’s also told in multiple POV’s and you can’t help wondering who the “anonymous” POV was. I thought I had it figured out but I was so wrong. Freida always has a plot twist at the end and this one I was not expecting. But then there’s a bit of another twist at the very end and that was also insane. Such a fast paced read, you will not want to put this down!
Thank You NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press, and Freida McFadden for sending me this ARC for an honest review.

I love me a Freida McFadden thriller! She’s one of my favorite authors. Still, I did not expect to like this one because the 'lost in the woods' storyline just does not typically appeal to me. But man am I glad I was wrong about this one! Per usual, Freida didn’t disappoint.
I loved the short chapters, multiple POVs (including one from an anonymous person!), suspense, and best of all that plot twist! A lot of the time I’m at least close to figuring out the mystery but this one truly surprised me. So impressed with this book and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun thriller. Best of all, it’s on Kindle Unlimited!
I will say that I initially struggled with the pacing. The first half of the book was engaging but still easy to put down. The second half of the book really picked up and I could not put it down! I am seriously so impressed with that plot twist. I never saw it coming and that is exactly what I want out of a thriller!

This was another keep em guessing From Freida McFadden.
And even though I wasn't a huge fan of this one, I enjoyed the different pov and anonymous!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

The story goes between two POVs: Claire, who is the main character, and Anonymous, who is behind all of the deaths/disappearances of the friends.
I did guess pretty early on who Anonymous was, but that doesn't mean I had it all figured out. It was still super fun to figure out the why and the how of everything.
My only downside to this is that while it was explain why most of these characters were "getting what they deserved," there was one character in particular that I didn't get what they had done to deserve it. I can speculate, but I would've loved the book to touch on it.
Overall, this was a super quick read, and I really enjoyed it.

Freida McFadden's formula continues to be one in the same. Switch out a character, a murder, or a weapon, and the books could all be the same. Entertaining, sure. Groundbreaking? Not at all.

Freida McFadden has done it again.
One by One was better than I could've hoped for.
The story was easy to follow and I loved how McFadden combined the two stories together with nameing one anonymous and the other one was from Claires pov.
I will not tell you who anonymous is because that would be a spoiler and we don't like that right? Only thing I'm gonna say about anonymous is that it was kinda fun trying figure out who this person was.
I was reading this book while holding my breath a few times and other times I could hear myself think like what and omg.
If you are looking for a good thriller to read that might keep you up reading way past your bed time because you really wanna know how the ending is gonna be then this one is what you are searching for.

What a creepy story! This book unlocked a new fear for me and that is being stranded out in the wilderness without everything you need. This was a very interesting take on surviving in the wilderness because there are so many characters and factors that lead to their behaviors. I really did enjoy it and quickly read it in a weekend. The ending was great and she managed to still surprise me.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
Definitely not one of my favorite books by Freida. I couldn’t get myself into the storyline. However, normally I love her books and she is an amazing author!

Loved this ARC by Frieda McFadden. Her books always suck you in, and this one was no exception. I really couldn't put this one down. Three couples head out for a week long vacation at a remote inn. Once they get to a remote area near the inn, the van they are driving breaks down. Having to hike the rest of the way to the inn, things quickly go from bad to worse.
The book goes from the main characters point of view to another person's point of view who is listed only as "anonymous." Anonymous has a lot to hide and this book keeps you guessing which one of the six it is.
A great read!

3.5⭐️ Not my favorite of Freida’s, but she did what we expect her to do! Keeps us guessing up until the very end.

This book was short and easy to get through. I wanted to love it but I just couldn’t. I don’t know if I felt like I needed to rush through it or if I just didn’t have the time to sit and focus solely on the book like I normally do. I think I’m going to have to reread this later. I am a big fan of Frieda so I feel like I must have missed something.

This is edge-of-my-seat kind of reading that I love, and that I have come to expect from books written by McFadden. Keep them coming!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this title

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book. Freida McFadden is one of my favorite mystery/thriller authors. This book was good there wasn't anything truly interesting in this book however I did want to keep reading. Mainly because there would be chapters throughout the book that were from an anonymous POV and it made you want to keep reading to see if figuring out who that person is. The book mainly takes place in the woods due to getting lost and then in a cabin with a fresh sandwich that only had 2 bites sitting on the table. Finding out who the anonymous person was definitely threw me for a loop because I thought it was one of the guys from the friend group but I was wrong. Overall, I did enjoy reading.

This was an intense and captivating thriller! It hooked me from the very beginning & was the epitome of “unputdownable”!

Claire and her husband, Noah, have a trip planned with two other couples. Noah's best friend, Jack and his wife, and Claire's best friend, Lindsay and her boyfriend. They will be spending a week away at a nice resort tucked away in the woods. Claire and Noah have been having issues in their marriage and maybe this will help them, or maybe this will be an opportunity to spend more time with Jack, who Claire has been having an affair with.
When Claire's minivan breaks down in the woods, the group decide to walk the rest of the way to the hotel. It's only supposed to be a couple of miles away and they have a map. As minutes turn to hours, they realize they are completely lost. To make matters worse, someone starts to kill members of the group, one by one.
This book had me gripped from the beginning. It kept me guessing the whole time. I definitely was not expecting the ending! Frieda McFadden is truly talented when it comes to unexpected twists! I actually like when the characters are not all likable, they are perfectly imperfect! Highly recommend!
Thank you to Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I had not read a book by Freida McFadden but see her books all over bookstagram. I thought I needed to give one a try. One by One follows a group of six friends who are getting away and into nature for the weekend. When their minivan breaks down on a dirt road, they are forced to hike their way to their Inn. As they get deeper into the woods, they realize they are lost and soon members of their party start dying or disappear. How many will make it out of the woods?
I did like this book. It was not very long and the author is great at telling an addictive story. I was through the book in less than 24 hours. I was shocked by the twist and was excited to read the last little surprise at the end. I did find some of the story repetitive and think the book could have been even shorter with the same suspense. I also did not really like any of the characters. For some reason, I could not find a connection with them or empathy to root for them to survive. I do think that anyone who is a fan of the author will really love this book.

Thank you, Netgalley for the ARC of One by One by Freida McFadden. I have read a number of Ms McFadden’s novels and have really enjoyed them. I had a little trouble with this one. I found most of the characters not likable and the usual twist at the end was a little too forced.
