Thanks for the ARC! Read this immediately after seeing the email. Might be my quickest Freida read. The twist wasn’t obvious but also wasn’t shocking. Enjoyable to read in one sitting on a weekend morning.

An unhappily married couple and four of their friends are heading to a rural lodge for a week away. But things start going wrong when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere…and then people start dying.
This was my first Freida McFadden book and I am absolutely hooked on her writing now! This was a quick and easy read full of twists and turns. I had so much fun reading it that I finished it in a single day. I would recommend this to any thriller fan!

Freida has done it again! This was a fantastic read and I couldn't stop once I got started reading it. Freida introduces us to a multitude of characters, including Claire and her husband Noah, and three of their friends, along with Claire's best friends new boyfriend. The friends embark on a week long adventure that promises rest and relaxation, where the guys can do some fishing and the ladies can enjoy the spa. Little did they know, the adventure they are about to take is far from rest and relaxation....
I loved this read. Easily 5 stars! Perfection at its finest!
Thank you to NetGalley for sharing this arc with me in exchange for an honest review.

One by One was my first introduction as a Freida Readah and I was hooked!
This story follows a group of friends who are going on vacation together. Their car breaks down and they end up stranded in the woods without cell service and shelter. As they walk to look for shelter things take a turn for the worse and one by one the friends mysteriously disappear.
Such a quick read and kept me engaged trying to guess the twists. When you think you know who did it, Freida keeps you on your toes and boom mind blown!

A quick, easy, fun thriller to read. This doesn’t disappoint as a Freida McFadden novel usually doesn’t. I read this in one sitting. 6 highly unlikely characters go on a 6 day trip where one by one they meet their demise. Claire is an unhappy woman in an unhappy marriage with Noah, Lindsey and her partner, Warner who is basically just a pretty face, an attorney named Michelle and her husband Jack. The van breaks down in the woods, they split up and people begin being picked off, and it’s hard to say which character will be the ONE to come out alive. In the journey you learn a lot of secrets, develop a lot of suspicions, and root for…no one.

Many thanks to #NetGalley and #PoisonPenPublishers for an #ARC of #OneByOne.
To say I devoured this book in one sitting, literally 2 hours, is an understatement. There was no chance of putting this book down once I had started it.
A trip for Claire and Noah, with their friends and partners should be nice, relaxing and filled with luxury. That's not exactly the way the holiday goes.
I throughly enjoyed trying to figure out 'whodunit'. Each chapter my guess changed. What made it even more delicious was none of the characters were exceptionally likeable, so it could be any of them..........

I really enjoyed this book! Freida never disappoints! Her books always keep me wanting more! I thought I had this one figured out, but the twists just keep coming!
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Freida for the online copy of this book.

𝕎𝕆𝕎!! Freida does it again! I read this as part of a buddy read with the amazing #thefreidaforce group. This gripping, suspenseful thriller was 𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗!! I could not put it down. I 𝙖𝙗𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 had to know what was going to happen next. I read the entire book in one day because I just couldn’t stop. The secrets, the twists! You’ll suspect anyone and everyone at one point or another. This fast-paced, dual POV story will have you on the edge of your seat! It’s told in alternating POV switching between our MC, Claire, and a mysterious character, “𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑛𝑦𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑠”. And just like every other book by McFadden, I was absolutely 𝕤𝕥𝕦𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕕 by the ending!! How does she do it every time?! I cannot recommend Freida enough!!

If you are looking for a character to root for, you probably won't find one here. When a group of 6 friends gets lost in the woods on their way to a cabin getaway, they start getting picked off one by one. Is the killer one of them, or is someone in the wilderness with them?
In true Freida fashion, you will be convinced you have it all figured out. I promise, you don't. The plot twist here did not disappoint. If you are looking for a fast paced locked-door thriller, look no further!

Claire take a couples trip with her husband, hoping it can repair their damaged marriage. They become lost in the woods before even arriving at their cabin. While they are lost, members of their party are mysteriously struck down, one by one.
I haven’t read a Freida book that I could easily put down. This was the same; addictive and fast paced. It had a major red herring; I knew I couldn’t have figured it all out that easy! I loved that it was a survival adventure thriller, combined with suspense. There were short past-based chapters that really added to the suspense.
“I can’t shake this horrible feeling that I might not make it home from this trip alive.”
One by One comes out on paperback 4/2.

Read in One day! Sista Freida have a way to draw her audience in so quick i loved everything about this book!! The plot twist at the end had me on the floor!!! Can you even trust the people closest to you?! Thank You NetGalley I just reviewed One by One by Freida McFadden. #NetGalley

Thank you to NetGalley and the Poisoned Pen Press for gifting me a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
3 stars!
Freida McFadden is a favorite auto buy author of mine. I've read quite a few of her books by now. This book isn't a favorite of hers for me. I love when she gives us a good twist in her stories, but this one was very predictable to me. It was good, but it just wasn't anything new. It was the typical cabin thriller story for me. Which is probably why I found it so predictable. This is why I am giving it 3 stars.

Okay I loved this one! I struggle to read thrillers but this kept me interested the whole way through! I kept second guessing who I thought was behind everything and even after a million guesses I didn’t predict that ending!!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC.
Freida McFadden is one of the most dependably outstanding authors of addictive domestic / psychological thrillers. And One By One is not an exception.
The story begins with a husband and wife taking a trip into the country for a week-long vacation with a carload of friends.
However, before the main characters even leave their house, their daughter tells them that she had a dream a monster killed her parents in the wilderness during their upcoming vacation.. They come to regret not heeding their daughter's warnings.
Their car breaks down before they get to the inn where they plan to stay, and it turns out that they are vacationing with an entire carload of people with potentially murderous and monstrous intentions...
As the vacationers are murdered one-by-one, in the wilderness, I dare you to attempt to determine who is/are the real villain/villains with murderous intentions (my guesses fell far short of the mark, but as the story develops McFadden provides breadcrumbs in the form of clues for you to gather as you journey along with this group as they become hopelessly lost in the wilderness...

Will keep your attention until the very end. Very suspenseful and def not a book you’re going to guess the ending of. This author does it again. Def recommend reading. 4 stars for me!

-1.5 stars
girl what was this😭😭😭😭😭
I barely remember anything that went down in this book so this review will be shorter, but the characters were so unlikeable( IK IT'S A THRILLER BUT BRUH I WANTED EVERYONE DEAD). If I didn't have anyone to root for why would I care if the characters were going into a scary situation? Like I'm supposed to be scared and anxious BECAUSE I care if the characters are harmed, but that was not the case for this book! All of them were very superficial and had only one trait each. The book followed the same plotline format until the last 5 pages and then BAMN I actually cared enough to perk up and listen to what was going on.
The plot twist was decent enough but if i'm going to ignore my massive tbr to pick up a easy thriller I at least want it to have some flesh to it, yk?? Anyways, maybe I'm the problem but I just did not enjoy this one by the queen herself, Freida.
She is sometimes a hit or miss but when she's a hit, its a HIT. Alas, this wasn't one of those:(.
Thank You Netgalley for an e-arc copy of this book<3

I loved the twist and turns this book had! I didn’t want to put it down! Freida has a way to involve characters that start out great, then make you question them all the way to the end!

Not my all-time favorites among the Frieda McFadden series books—not because I disliked it, I enjoyed it, but because it lacked the suspense I've come to expect from the others. While I didn't figure out the full details of the plot twist before it was revealed, I did identify the culprit early on (although I did waver in my suspicions a few times). It's still a great book, but it didn't leave me with that bewildered 'what just happened?' sensation that I've experienced with her other works.

Freida McFadden's "One by One" is like a wild rollercoaster ride through a haunted forest, packed with surprises that will have you clinging to the edge of your seat. Although some parts seemed repetitive, the ending more than made up for it. I was completely hooked on the book and found it enjoyable overall. While the suspense remains high throughout the story, the characters fall a bit short. Their unpleasant personalities and lack of redeeming qualities make it hard to get emotionally invested in their outcomes. Overall though, a great quick read with a shocking ending!

One by One… you think you know what’s going on based on that title but you really don’t!! I finished this book in one day because I devoured it so quickly. 5/5 stars!! I like the dual POV and the reader only knows one of the narrators, the main character Claire. The other POV is unknown and is presumably the killer. You keep thinking you know who the killer is but then BAM! You never know!
I loved this book! It was fast paced and you really felt for the characters and their emotions!
