My first Freida McFadden book & i really enjoyed it. Some of the characters got a little annoying but it could have just been how I read them. I did not guess that twist at the end though! Woah!

Another fantastic book by one of my favorite authors. Heart pounding book with many twists and turns. I never see the twist coming.

I believe One by One is one of the most UNDERRATED Freida McFadden books out there. It is different from her mysteries in its horror setting. Some scenes can appear gruesome, but I loved it! The main character Claire could be aggravating at times, and I kept trying to guess the twist up until the very end. Thank you for allowing me to read this AWESOME story!!! The ending had my jaw on the floor. 5/5 stars!

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this book, but it was one of my favorite Freida McFadden books so far! Loved the whole concept, and was definitely not expecting the plot twist at the end!

Wow, this book was such a rollercoaster of a read! It was insanely fast-paced and utterly binge-worthy—I couldn't put it down.
Despite finding most of the characters a bit unlikable, I was still strangely invested in their fates.
Although I hate to admit it, I did manage to guess the plot twist, which left me feeling a tad disappointed.
Nonetheless, I had a blast reading it and would definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for a quick, fun thriller without all the complexities.
Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
My review will also be posted on my instagram account @milasreadingcorner on publishing day. (April 2)

While compulsively readable and impossible to put down, One By One is nothing new and because of that I'm so torn on this author.
There are unexpected twists as you read, but sometimes those twists don't feel earned or as though they make sense.
While I enjoyed reading the book, I definitely had hoped for something more when I got to the ending.

I guess this will be republished? I'm seeing where it was released a few years ago. Anyway this is a very good book and I couldn’t get enough. So many twists and turns! I thought about halfway through I had figured out what the twist would be....but I was oh so wrong. This author is one to continue watching.

I enjoyed this book. It was really good and it had a lot of suspense to it. The ending was way better than what I expected. I'm grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review

I genuinely had no idea "who dunnit" the entire story. This was an easy read, quick to hook me. I look forward to more of Freida McFadden's books.

I read One by One by Freida McFadden a couple years ago and absolutely loved it!
It was one of my first read by her and I’ve been a fan ever since!
McFadden keeps you so intrigued and glued to the pages!
I was so engaged in the story I couldn't put it down!
The pace at which the story unfolds is perfectly balanced, keeping my interest piqued throughout.
The characters are incredibly written. The story was engaging. And the writing was phenomenal!
Thank You NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

PLOT TWIST!!
I was absolutely convinced I had this one figured out, but boy was I wrong!
Overall this was a really easy, fun and quick read. I liked that we got 2 POVs one of what was currently happening and one that we didn't know whose POV it was but it gave us background information into the killer.
This was my Frist Freida McFadden book and I will definitely be reading more!

Superb! If you love a chilling, twisty thriller, don't miss this one! The last few chapters will shock you.

Wow oh wow! One by One is only the second novel written by Ms. McFadden that I've had the pleasure to read and I have to admit that enjoyed this so much more than The Housemaid (which will probably be an unpopular opinion). I really thought I had figured out all of the plot twists but I certainly did not! This is a fast pace to keep you on your toes thriller. I'm still in a book-hangover. Thank you so much #NetGalley #FriedaMcFadden for the opportunity to read and review One by One. This is a must for anyone who loves thrillers!

I totally forgot that I read this book already and thought this was a new release due to the new cover. However I remember really enjoying this one. In my opinion it wasn't as strong as The housemaid or Never lie but it was still a good and captivating story. Freida McFadden just knows how to write books.

Another great, fast paced book by Frieda! As per usual, I did not see the final twist(s) coming.
The chapters were easy to get through, and would alternate POVs between the main character and an undisclosed one. The way the novel was set up kept me interested/invested in the storyline.

This was actually my first ever Freida McFadden book and let me say I'm about to buy every single book she ever wrote. I COULD NOT PUT THIS DOWN. I read it in one sitting because I needed to know what happened next. Her writing was quick, easy to follow, and the plot twist, WHEW. I also have not read a good mystery thriller in a hot minute and it was refreshing to say the least! If you haven't read this yet, and need a good pallet cleanser to read in one sitting, pick this one up! Thank you Poisoned Pen Press for the copy!!!
About:
Claire Matchett needs this trip. It will be a break from work and raising children. A chance to repair her damaged marriage. A week of hiking and hot tubbing with friends at a luxurious hotel in the woods, disconnected from the pressures of real life.
Then, on a lonely dirt road, Claire's minivan breaks down. With no cell reception, the group has no choice but to walk the rest of the way to their remote accommodation. But the forest is dark and difficult to navigate and, hours later, they are lost. Hopelessly lost.
As they venture deeper into the woods, the members of their party are struck down mysteriously, one by one. Are they being hunted? And by what—or who? As Claire's dream vacation descends into a nightmare, something becomes clear: only one of them will return home alive.
A taut story of betrayal and survival from New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden that will leave you wondering if there's any way out of the woods…

I absolutely love Freida McFadden books with a passion! I cannot thank NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for another opportunity to read and review this amazing book!!
Just like an other Freida books, this one was no different with the amazing plot twists!!! I love how this book was put together and how it had me going from start to finish and was not able to put it down (although I had too for my everyday life). I can't wait to read more of Freida McFadden books, especially her new releases coming out!
Thank you again!!

When a group of friends takes a trip to a remote resort for relaxation, things go awry from the beginning when their car breaks down, and they are forced to walk. When things start happening to them, everyone becomes suspect—told from the point of view of both Claire and an anonymous narrator. As things happen to this group, you are unsure who is telling the truth. This story is full of twists and turns. Keeping me on the edge of my seat.

I read this book over a few days because it was a very easy read. This book was very fast paced. However I do feel like the plot is over done. Lost in the woods and slowly everyone starts disappearing. I liked the main characters. I love how the strain of getting lost in the woods brought the two characters with marital problems back together. I felt like I could predict the ending because this book is very similar to other books I have read before.

So, if you’re like me and you read “The Housemaid” and was not entirely impressed by it, try this one. It may change your mind to pick up another copy of her books. I enjoyed this book. At the same time, I felt sorry for but also hated the characters on some level. I finished this in a little over 2 days, I work full time and have a kid, so it’s an easy fast read. I speculated that every character was the killer, so I was surprised by that little twist in the end. Normally I have it figured out well beforehand. Other than the fact that it felt kind of like a PG horror, I was okay with this little story.
Thank you NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press and Freida McFadden for this eARC
