Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book! This cozy series continues to delight. As we follow Ellowynn’s journey, we get to see more behind this closed book of a character, and I really loved her POV. There were quite a few nights I had to tell myself “just one more chapter” before I’d eventually succumb to sleep haha. But it’s a real page turner that I had trouble putting down! I look forward to the next book in the series (because there has to be, right?? Especially for Georgie!) and recommend this book to anyone looking for a witchy romance that’s heavy on themes of inner strength and found family.

This book was a departure in tone from the previous two books in this series. I felt that a lot of the humor and charm from the other two books was missing.

I found Ellowyn's power as it was revealed to be kind of forced. It honestly just didn't make sense to me except as a plot to show us what happened in the past. The ghost characters that were introduced were an interesting addition to the whole gang, though.

Yes, this book does have a pregnancy trope, which I thought was handled well. Ellowyn and Zander have had chemistry on the page since the first book, so this didn't come out of left field.

If you're a fan of this series, I think you'll probably enjoy it. This was my least favorite of the bunch, but I am wondering if there are plans to continue the series. There are some loose ends that I'd love to see tied up.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for providing an ARC for me to review.

read the first two books back-to-back and immediately went into reading the third book. It may be able to be read as a stand alone, but… I wouldn’t recommend it. There was so much story building in the first two books that really helps you understand the third book.

Loved Ellowyn and Zander’s story. Second chance romance plus magic, familiars, ghosts, and fighting evil. I can’t wait for book four!

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Truly Madly Magically to come out August 27, 2024.

It took me until maybe 30% to get into the book. I wasn't super invested in the side characters and upon reflection I realize this story is part of a series. So perhaps that is effecting my review. With that being said I didn't find the main character very likeable. She seemed very immature and the "hate" she feels for Zander just feels childish. We later learn of what happened to cause their divide. However i personally do not like the miscommunication trope and pregnancy trope.

I did like that we get to see her character develop as she comes into her own through out the book.

For me, the plot moved a little slow and somewhat repetitive. There were 3 trials but they seemed to drag on in between and it felt more like a high-school debate than two powerful covens competing to rule. Overall I didn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted to. I love witchy fantasy books but this fell flat for me. I do plan on reading the previous books because I'd like to learn more about the other characters.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an eARC of this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!
I think I should read the other books in this series, as I might prefer them. I enjoyed the writing and thought the characters were cute and well done. But I just absolutely loathe a surprise pregnancy trope.

thank you to netgalley for a free arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!
cute, witchy, and refreshing! i didn't read the first two books in the series so i didn't feel as connected to all the characters and it did get a little repetitive sometimes but overall a fun book!

Tropes:
- Second chance
- Witchy friend group
- One night stand gone wrong
- Surprise pregnancy
- Forced proximity
Truly Madly Magically by author duo Hazel Beck takes us back to the magical town of [Town Name] for the third installment of the [series name] series. Much like the first two books, I felt that this book landed more in a low fantasy/ fiction realm than romance as the relationship between Ellowyn and Zander was secondary to the major plot points, not that this is a bad thing. We get to continue reading about the adventures of the Riverwood coven and their quest to defeat the Joywood while watching Ellowyn and Zander rekindle their old high school flames.
That being said, I did once again thoroughly enjoy the writing and the friendship in this book. Hazel Beck has an incredible way of drawing you into their world and forcing you to fall in to fall in love with the friendship, the romance and the witchy-ness of their books. I highly recommend Truly Madly Magically and the entire Witchlore series to anyone looking for a modern escape.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and author Hazel Beck for giving me the opportunity to review Truly Madly Magical! I absolutely loved it! I have not read the first two books, so I was nervous to ARC for a 3rd book in a series. After finishing this book I will for sure be adding the whole series to my TBR! Also… can we just take a minute to appreciate that cover! 😍😍

**I was provided this book as an e-ARC. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this story and provide my honest opinion on it.**

When I saw this book available as an ARC I was immediately drawn to it by the beautiful, but fun, cover art. Looking a little deeper I realized this was the third book in a series of four and to get the best sense of the story wanted to ensure I read the first two books first. I'M SO GLAD I DID. They were incredible.

I could not wait to get to this third book as I started reading the others in the series and all of my expectations were met and exceeded. Ellowyn's story is one we get glimpses into through the first two in the series and I was so excited to dig into more about her and learn more about the strained relationship she has with another member of the coven.

Hazel's writing continued moving the story along and the intrigue flowing. I couldn't wait to see how things hinted at in earlier storylines would come back up, how El would grow as a character, and if there would be resolution on the major "challenge." These characters are lovable, interesting, strong, and relatable (even if I'm not a witch!). I had the joy of reading this book while surrounded by three other book-loving gals who heard me laugh, speculate, and gasp in real time at a cabin reading weekend. I think it's safe to say they have added this book, and the series, to their TBR! I already can't wait for 2025 when the fourth in the series comes out!

I loved it!!! It gave all the witchy vibes. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be adding the other two books in my tbr list. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this arc.

Another good read by Hazel Beck! This is the third in the series, and it's just as good as the first two. Nothing that will stick with me for a long time, hence the four stars, but an enjoyable read overall. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me this digital ARC to review.

When I was sent this ARC and realized it was the third book in a series, I immediately read the other two books featuring Emerson (Book 1) and Rebekah (Book 2). I love this series! This book features Ellowyn (and Zander). At first Ellowyn was a bit unlikable in my opinion but I grew to really love her once I understood her. I think so far out of the three stories, she has had the most growth.

The story in Truly Madly Magically delves deeper into Ellowyn's history. It explores her relationship with her father's family, Zander, and her own witch-ness. She is forced to understand and accept her half-human status and focus on the strengths from it, rather than her imagined weakness from it. Ellowyn and Zander must also deal with the decade-long resentment spawned from a misunderstanding of what she wanted and Zander's intentions. Through it all, Ellowyn begins to understand that her powers are stronger than she ever imagined and that she and her friends are a threat to the current corrupt ruling coven.

Truly Madly Magically also follows the Riverwood Coven's bid for ascension. They along with the Joywood Coven are called to begin the steps toward the vote which is to take place on Samhein. The Joywood try very hard to weaken the Riverwood through Ellowyn and her self-doubt due to her half-human status. They show their true (dark) colors and witchkind begins to see them for who they really are.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the next books and mysteries that were alluded to in this and the previous books, such as Georgie's relationship, the "silly little fairy tale," and the significance of newel post.

Truly, Madly, Magically follows Ellowyn, a half human half witch, as she navigates her coven attempts to overthrow the evil ruling coven , all while being pregnant and rekindling a relationship with her high school ex/baby daddy.
I may not have disliked this as much as the first book, but it is definitely still one of my least favorite books this year. The book is far to long and repetitive. You would think Hazel Beck assumes we have short term memory loss, so she has to reiterate things three pages later the whole book. I obviously understand that Ellowyn being a half human is basically the center of the book, but my god is she so annoying about it. To the have her magic block disappear the second she “accepts herself” was the dumbest reveal ever. Also, the final trial with the opposing coven was so lackluster and underwhelming.
This whole series is supposed to be about how love conquers all and I genuinely have not hated characters more. Also, don’t forget Ellowyn now has violet AND sapphire eyes or that she wants to turn her owl into stew.
Zander is a fine MMC, but I can’t get over how the two of them would just have hate sex once every year and it resulted in a child. Accidental pregnancy is my least favorite troupe, so having that be the immediate plot out a major damper on the whole book.
It took me way too long to finish this book and I would not recommend it or the series.

Truly Madly Magically is book 3 in a series but can also be read as a standalone. Perfect for fans of magic and witches or romance lovers. I really enjoyed the characters and found myself excited to get back to reading. I'm guessing I may have had more of a clue about the warring covens had I read the first two books, but it didn't make it less enjoyable to read.

Our main character Ellowyn has to grapple with her self confidence and half human side in this book as she also helps her coven attempt to take over as the head witch coven.

I loved the ghost characters and the evolution of the relationship between the main characters.

Thank you to netgalley for an ARC to review.

Okay so I’m giving this 3 stars but honestly I think it was my fault. It took me forever to read this because of the repetitive dialogue. I really do like the witchy nature of the story so I really think I will pick up the first and second book and then come back to this one. I think I was just confused in some parts because I did not read the first two books. But, I will revise my review once I read those two.

I was really nervous jumping into this without reading the first two books but the author did a wonderful job rehashing story lines and reintroducing characters. It was a quick read with an enemies to lovers plot. I can’t wait to go back and read the first two books! A huge thank you to Netgalley and the publisher!

I loved this book. I was a little hesitant because I had to read it and usuly I like having audios but the author did a great job of keeping my attention. Everytime I thought there would be a lull there was another reason to keep reading. I love how this author lays out a story and adds complexity. I have had a few fantasy with witches where there are plot holes or something just doesn't make sense. This book does a great job of writing and it's as as the reader to follow even with learning the world. I can't wait to come back tothis world for the next book! Might have to reread the previous ones becuase there are def stories weaved throughout all three books.

This is the review I placed on good reads.

I'm so sad that I read this book as quickly as I did because now I have to wait so long for the next one! I love this series. I've loved it since I first met Emerson in book 1, and I was a fan of Rebekah, and now Ellowyn. Although this was probably my least favourite MC, I loved the plot and the way everything unfolded. I really appreciate how the story is connected so well throughout the series and there aren't any obvious plot holes going through. The magic system is still a little vague but the worldbuilding supports it so I'm ok with it.

In Truly Madly Magically, we follow Ellowyn and Zander as they navigate the challenges that come from their tumultuous decade-long relationship. We get some insight on what happened back in high school to foster 10 years of resentment and we get to see them both grow in their powers and as characters. We also get to see more of the other characters and how the Riverwood coven all support each other.

Overall a great book with a strong supporting cast and a very exciting storyline.

This book was magical! ( See what I did there) I really enjoyed the growth around the characters and the storyline was really good!

Okay, when I received this ARC, it gave me the pleasure of catching up on the first two books in the series and I am so happy I did. The writing is beautiful in this book! I was immediately swept into the story. I thought the character development was really well done and I enjoyed the relationship between Zander and Ellowyn but I wish we were given a little more depth. Overall a really wonderful, magical story.
