What an adorable small town romance story! I can’t wait to read more in the series!

Allies, who owns a bakery, lost her husband but still remains close with his whole family including Sean, her husband’s baby brother, who makes deliveries for her bakery. Sean has always loved her and soon she realizes his love for her. Things get steamy and things get real but boy did I love their story. Super cute and quick read!

Semi short, small town, taboo, romance read.

This romance had a lot of the romance elements we all love. Plus it was funny at times. I enjoyed the humor between the brothers. You could tell that they loved each other, but also love to irk each other.

I enjoyed that there wasn’t a last minute break up. Both main characters were likeable. I think I would have liked to see more of what Allie was feeling as their relationship was developing.

Thank you for the ARC. Dixie did a wonderful job of giving Allie and Sean a voice!

Short steamy little read. Should I have read it on the bus? Probably not, but I'm pretty sure I caught my seat buddy looking so maybe I made their day better too...

I enjoyed this book, it was well written and the characters' voices were overall good and funny in parts.

I do wish there was a little more character / tension building (its mostly off the page, before the book) to make me invest in them a little more, but I think you go into this book knowing what it will be and you get that. A spicy palate cleanser! I'm not sure why it's called Hush, but maybe that's on me.

The cover caught my eye and then, after reading the description, I knew I had to read this book. As a widow myself, I wanted to read about a character who is dealing with grief while also living and making the most of their life. The FMC owns a bakery and jumps into work in order to keep her mind off of the sudden passing of her late husband. Nearly 10 years have passed since his death, and we come into the story in the bakery where the MMC drops a bomb on the FMC. The struggle the FMC has about being with the MMC was relatable for me and I felt that the author had handled it well.

Should you read this if you have recently lost a significant other to death? Maybe not. I know I wouldn’t have been able to read this 3 years ago when the pain was still fresh. But the relationship between the MMC and the FMC was sweet, steamy, and heartwarming.

Now bring on Caleb! I can’t wait to read his story.

I enjoyed this story. The cover was gorgeous, obviously! I look forward to more in this series. The characters and plot entertained me. It was a book I didn't have to think much about, which I enjoy from time to time. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Hush was such a cute, quick read! This is the first book I have read by Dixie Mason, and I thought the premise of the story itself was a classic small town romance tale!

This book is about Allie, a cute widowed bakery owner, and her widow’s brother Sean, getting a “second shot” at love. They are having to sneak around and hide their forbidden feelings from the rest of Sean’s family. The spice was spicy!! 🌶️

I liked how quickly I was able to read this, if you’re looking for a digestible palette cleanser in between longer books, then this is perfect!

My other feedback would be that the beginning could have had more character building or more of a “slow burn” between Sean & Allie, I did feel that it was a little rushed and I would have enjoyed more of a “build up”.

Short, sweet & steamy novella.

Allie is a baker whose husband died 6 years ago.

Sean is the dead husband’s younger brother, who happens to be in love with Allie, since forever.

There isn’t much to say for this 110 page novella over than things get steamy fast in this forbidden love.

A great quick read.
