This is an area I haven't seen explored in a children's book before and I'll definitely be adding it to my school psychology bookshelf and recommending it to families!

This book masterfully weaves together whimsical rhymes and playful illustrations to introduce young readers to the challenges and triumphs of living with the eye disorders of Strabismus or Amblyopia. From Terri's imaginative vision improvement adventure to Adam's brave tale of surgery and a surprise basketball, each character brings a unique perspective, making the book both relatable and educational. As a parent, I appreciate the emphasis on the importance of early eye exams, making this a valuable tool for families.

I love when books help children understand the things that other children are going through. my son goes to vision therapy so to read this book to him for him to hear about other kids that go to vision therapy helped him to feel normal. I’m glad there are books like this.

This picture books tells about the two eye disorders, Strabismus and Amblyopia. Through this story, these two disorders have been briefed.
Terri having Strabismus and that can be treated by wearing necessary glasses. His friend Terri having both Strabismus and Amblyopia, so she need to wear patch to accomodate her weaken eye and also she need vision therapist.
Terri's brother Adam need surgery as his eye muscles had been weaken beyond looking clear through glasses. Also, there is this common learning that some weaknesses or diseases runs in DNA.

There is a good thing to know from someone who has better knowledge of optics. Though there is no name given to narrator himself, maybe Author Kara forgot that.
There is this learning for parents also to get their children get eye check-ups timely and regularly before it worsen beyond repair, of harsh treatments, say surgery, one or may more.

Great message! Not everyone realizes how important early eye exams are. It's important also that instead of teasing each other, the kids in this adorable little picture book support each other.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

Powerful, strong and unique informative message to young readers (even parents!) about the importance of having eye exam.

I love the message, the story content and the illustration. I have never seen this topic in child’s book. Easy to understand, with the message of you are not alone if you have the eye problem.
