This book was so amazing! I loved every element of the story. It was well-read, had just the right amount of romance, and kept me laughing. I can't wait for more about these brothers.

I really enjoyed this story of how two people can reunite and the spark between them can be lit again. I loved the main characters as they both had depth and personality. The christian aspect was there but it was not dominant. I really liked that it wasn’t just a romance but more of family dynamics mixed with a bit of romance. I was sad to have it end and will be looking for more in this series.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with such a lovely story. Opinions are strictly my own.

I enjoyed this audiobook. It’s book one in the Coral Canyon Cowboys series, however it looks like there is also a story for Tex’s brother, Mav, that is a prequel and available through the author’s newsletter. But for me, this is the first book that I have read with these brothers.
This is a second chance at love romance between two high school sweethearts. It is also a little bit of a celebrity romance, but not a lot. Tex is a country music star, however, the fame doesn’t seem to be a big issue in the small town he grew up in with his brothers.
I loved seeing Tex and Abby reconnect. The author did a great job of capturing their feelings of uncertainty toward each other and the exciting possibility of the rekindling of their old romance. I really liked Tex’s son, Bryce, too.
With Tex coming from a family of nine brothers, there ended up being a lot of people introduced in this book. I didn’t have a problem with understanding who they were or how they fit in to the family. It was clear that the author was setting things up for future stories.
I listened to the audio version of the book and the narrators were both very good. They kept me interested in the story and both did a good job with the various character voices. I’m looking forward to reading or listening to more in this series.
(4.5 stars)
I received a complimentary copy of this audio book, however, I own a copy of the ebook. All opinions are my own.

A sweet and swoony story that is brought to a new level of excitement with the dual narration. I enjoyed both narrators and like that the difference in tone helps differentiate the main characters. The story itself is cute and has a bit of complexity with all the different brothers. I love the sibling dynamic and how each brother has their own personality that shows up even in the few minutes we might spend with them. The relationship between the main characters grows naturally and it all comes together in a sweet conclusion.
I received a copy of this audiobook through NetGalley. I was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

The author did a good job of fleshing out the characters and their relationships. This was my first time reading Christian fiction and I liked that aspect of it. I think that I would have enjoyed this one more in print rather than on audio. It seems like it would have been a quick read, but it felt long listening to it.

This book was archived before I had a chance to read it. So I'm unable to give a truly comprehensive review.

Tex
Coral Canyon Cowboys #1
Liz Isaacson
Tex is back. He left town years ago breaking Abigall’s heart. The old homestead was up for auction and Tex wanted it but so did Abigail. She was so determined to purchase the farm that was next door to her family’s property that she got carried away and bid more than she should have. Tex suggested they own it together. Reluctantly she agreed; she couldn’t see where it was going to be to her advantage.
Tex and his son jumped in and started remodeling the old farmhouse. He spent the last two decades as a country music star. He and his brothers were the Country Quad. Tex is tired of living on the road; he wanted to spend time with his 17-year-old son. When not one of his 9 sons showed any interest in the family farm Tex’ father decided to sell it. After discussing it with his brothers they all decided it was time to come home to Coral Canyon. It took a lot of work and money, but Tex and Brice made progress on the old farm.
Abigail wants the farm. She and her disabled brother live on the small farm next door to the larger farm. She was devastated when Tex had left her so he could be a big country star. She was in love with him and still is but could she trust him not to break her heart again. Tex knew he still loved her and always had but how could he convince her that she could trust him.
This is a second chance romance. Tex is the first book in the Coral Canyon Cowboys series. I loved Tex and his whole family. I thought Abby was a bit strange. It was obvious that the two loved each other but she was sharp tongued and hesitated to give him a second chance. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Thank you NetGalley for the review copy of Tex.

A very cute second chance romance. I think we all want to fall in love with the star that returns to us and that’s just what this one is. She tried to fight it but can’t deny the feelings there. Some other good pieces and parts woven into this one too.
🌀Synopsis
Tex is returning to his hometown with his son Bryce. He’s taken custody of Bryce for his senior year of high school and they are moving to be close to family. Tex is coming off the road from his career as part of a band so it’s a big adjustment. When the two find his family’s ranch is going up for auction Tex decides he wants to buy it.
The only problem is the neighbor wants to keep it away from investors so she is also after it. Her name is Abigail and this isn’t her first experience with Tex. The two were together in the past until he left for life on the road.
Now Tex needs to prove that he’s ready to settle down and put down roots for both his son and for Abigail.

Tex is the first book in Liz Isaacson’s Coral Canyon Cowboys series. Tex Young, eldest of the nine Young brothers and lead singer of the family country band Country Quad, has returned home to Coral Canyon with his 17 year old son Bryce. After years of working on the road and seeing his son only summers and holidays, his son is coming to live with him full time and to complete his senior year in Coral Canyon. With many of his other brothers back in the hometown and their parents aging, Tex is set to come home, get some land, and begin anew.
As Tex and Bryce drive into town, the father takes his son by the old family ranch just to find the place in a state of disrepair and set to go up for auction the following day. As they walk around the place an indignant Abigail Ingalls comes from the ranch next door, set to chase away a developer only to find the guy that broke her heart almost 20 years ago.
In a bidding war, Abigail outbids Tex, but then is unable to produce the cash only price. Tex, anticipates this might be the case and hangs around after the auction is over. When a partial loan falls through, Tex proposes they split the cost and become co-owners. Meanwhile, he and Bryce will move in to the old farmhouse and begin fixing up the house and property.
This is a story of homecoming on many levels. First to reunite with family, then to the land, and then to those left behind. This novel is an enjoyable and heartwarming journey into small town Wyoming with wonderful characters. I did enjoy this book and do recommend it.

I listened to the audiobook and loved the narration by Amanda Stribling and Tyler Darby. ‘Tex’ is the first in the Coral Canyon Cowboys series and I found it quite charming. Liz Isaacson has created some truly lovable characters and I would like to read more of the series. There were a few more references to God than I was expecting, leading me to think of Country Quad as a sort of Christian, country Osmonds. Nevertheless, I was invested in the Young family and all the residents of Coral Canyon. A nice, laidback listen.

My first Liz Isaacson novel and happy to get in at the start of the ‘Coral Canyon Cowboy’s series featuring nine (yes, 9!!!!) brothers! Loved the sense of homecoming featured in this story as Tex and his teenage son return to the town he grew up in.
It’s a summer of second chances — for father and son, the family ranch, the girl (now woman) next door, and brotherly bonding. Loved that reoccurring theme and the way the author weaves it throughout multiple storylines.
I enjoyed the romance between Tex and Abby. (You really can’t go wrong with a librarian and a cowboy, right?!) She’s nursing some hurt and is a little prickly at first, but he just doesn’t give up and it isn’t long before they fall back into the easy friendship of their youth. There are obstacles to overcome, of course, but I love that they actually communicate with each other. Not always well, but they muddle their way through to a hard earned happily ever after eventually.
While the story starts off mostly from Tex and Abby’s points of view, it morphs into an all encompassing story with various new character POVs. Only, I get the feeling they are actually ‘old’ characters from a previous series. It got a bit confusing for this newbie Isaacson reader, but I imagine it would be thrilling for veterans out there. 🙂 Sweet vignettes, they just didn’t have any meaning for me since I couldn’t put them into context.
I enjoyed listening to the dual narration performed by Amanda Stribling and Tyler Darby.
My thanks to the publisher, Dreamscape Media and Net Galley for providing me with an audio edition of Tex.

"Tex" is the first in a series by Liz Isaacson. It's a sweet Western Romance centered around brothers that are in a country western group. Tex goes back to his hometown to buy back his family's ranch, but runs into his old girlfriend who also wants to buy the ranch. Will Tex and Abigail fall back in love or will pride keep them apart?
I listened to the audiobook. There were two narrators for the audiobook - a male and female narrator. They did an excellent job and the voices were fitting for a book set in Montana. For listeners of audiobooks that love inspirational Western romances this one was well done. The narrators were easy to listen to and I enjoyed the production for this book.

First of all, thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook version of Tex. I admit, this was the first audiobook that was tough to listen to. It didn't keep my attention and it was hard to follow the story. It seemed to skip over things too fast. I did like the fact that a young teen age boy felt connected to his future step mom.

This story follows Tex a famous music star who moves home to his hometown to raise his sons and be close to family. When his family home goes up for auction he runs into an old flame, Abigail, who has her own plans for the farm.
Where do I begin with this book? I think it has so much potential and if you want a good Christian romance this book could be for you but it was not for me. I think what I found frustrating is that Tex and Abigail is that there wasn't much holding them together. If they were not neighbors who had previously dated they both could have married anyone else and been fine. There should have been more that they built upon or more interactions that brought them back together. The premise sounded great and I love a good Christian romance now and again but what I didn't like was the effort to build a relationship that we would root for. This book definitely set up the rest of the series and I feel like the other brothers books might be a little better but there was so many POV's by the end of people who I didn't feel were necessary to Tex and Abigail's story I felt they were fillers because there wasn't much to say about this particular couple if you know what I mean.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

This is a modern Christian romance about two high school sweethearts, Abigail and Tex, getting a second chance about 20 years later.
While it seems like Tex messed everything up the first time, Abigail is definitely the problem the second time around. Her admitted hot temper and inability to control her tongue and/or actions was always just addressed with “I’m trying” and then given a pass and almost even encouraged as strong or feisty. But it got tiring to read and made it hard to root for her love story.
Still, I kept reading and felt invested enough in the world and characters. The author is clearly developing this Wyoming town for a series, and in doing so introduces dozens of characters, even skipping to their viewpoints, so it gets confusing sometimes. I’m assuming that if you read the entire series then it will eventually be easier to keep them all straight, but it threw me for a loop about halfway through.I did enjoy some of them though, such as the Otis and Georgia storyline, and would definitely read that one.
Overall, the was an okay 3 star read for me, not my favorite couple, but a decent world of characters around them. And the audiobook narration helped to keep the story easy to listen to. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio ARC in exchange for my honest review.

*I listened to the audiobook version by Dreamscape Media.*
I really enjoyed this cosy story about a family of cowboys and their ups and downs. The book is about Tex and Abby, but we also get a lot of other point of views which I appreciated. All are in 3rd person.
There's a lot to unpack in this family drama. We have the relationship between Tex and his teenage son, Bryce. Then moving back to the old family ranch and adjusting to a new environment, and we have Tex embarking on a new relationship. All of these issues are dealt with sensitively and empathically and I couldn't stop listening
This is a clean, Christian romance, so no spice, which I found refreshing.
The audio narrators did a fantastic job in voicing many different characters.
This was my first Liz Isaacson book and have now learned she has a huge backlist that I need to work through. I'll also carry on with this Coral Canyon Cowboys series. It was hugely enjoyable.
Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio ARC.

Text Young is moving back to Coral Canyon with his son Bryce he is the lead singer of country quad it very popular singing group but he wants downtime with his son and is moving back to his hometown at the auction to purchase back his parents farm house he never thought he would be going up against Abby his childhood sweetheart and next-door neighbor. For many reasons the auction battle is contentious but in the end they agree after learning Abby doesn’t even have the amount she bid, they will go in halves on the farm. Tex and Brice will live there and fix it up. Abby resigned herself to it especially when she cannot even look text in the eyes due to the butterflies that inhabit her stomach. He fixes the house much faster then Abby thought he would an even Dean can tell she is falling for him again it just takes Abby a little bit longer. Tex and Bryce are definitely settling in they even get a dog named Fanny from Aim, someone who I suspect is from a previous book as are a lot of the characters in text. I have seen these books titled as the young brothers and Coral Canyon Cowboys a place other Siri‘s by her have been set. I wish we would have gotten a book about Dean but unfortunately in this one he has a girlfriend is an injured soldier and Abbys brother but I digress. This is a great book about family God love and what makes a Home. I was excited to read all the books by her but it seemed they are all second chance romance is something I am not a big fan of but I did thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought the two narrators did a great job. I also thought it was great that Abby question whether she would be a good substitute parent for Bryce when the whole time her and Bryce were having a banging relationship and he really seemed to like her so her worries were for not. There’s a lot of great aspects to this book especially their devotion to God and their friends and how loving they are even to Aim who had a hard time letting Francesca go with Tex. Just know there’s much more to this book than what I put in my review we get to know his brother math and we get the set up for the next book with Morris who gets ghosted the more I reviewed this book the more I think I will read more of the story despite it being another second chance romance because I say I don’t like that trope but totally enjoyed this book it was so good. I want to thank the publisher the author and net galley for my free arc copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

This story begins the series about the Young Brothers and in this case, Tex.
Tex left town when he and his brothers left Coral Canyon to start their music career and later became known as the Country Quad .
Twenty years later, Tex is back with his son remembering the life he left behind.
When he sees the ranch his father had sold years ago is up for auction, Tex and his brothers decide to purchase. Whom he never expected to see again was Abigail Ingalls. She was the girl he left behind. Nowadays a librarian and owner of the adjacent farm, she bids against him and wins the ranch.
From that moment on, all bets are off as he decides to win back the ranch, and maybe the girl. What happens when things don’t go as planned? Will these two find not only peace but also a future, or will the past and old hurts keep them apart?
The narrators Amanda Stribling and Tyler Darby brought the story to life, though at times the Southern drawl caused this listener to stop and listen careful to the story.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook by Netgalley and Dreamscape. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

*This includes a review of the audiobook.
Tex is the first book in a new series by Liz Isaacson. (Although once I starts reading this one, I suspected there was a prequel story. I believe Mav can be acquired by a newsletter sign up.) They are wholesome, Christian cowboy romances.
I'd actually been very interested in this series and had purchased the ebook a whole ago but hadn't read it yet. The story wasn't exactly riveting but was fine. Then over a third of the way through it, there were some chapters about random people loosely connected to the main characters and not really related to the primary storyline. I was a little lost. After that, the book seemed to take on more of a family saga type vibe. Maybe the author was trying to set up more of the following books, but it just took me out of the flow of Tex and Abbey.
As mentioned at the outset, I listened to the audio for this book. Dreamscape provided me with an advanced copy to listen to. I am happily and voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This book is told in the third person point of view but has dual narrators. I really enjoyed and appreciated that. The male voice definitely had a cowboy feel to his narrative. I didn't feel like I was being read to at all. That can sometimes be challenging, especially with 3rd person POVs. I think I've heard the female narrator read a romcom before. She has a distinctive voice quality. It took me a little while to adjust to her in a different role.
One note I have about the male voice is that he didn't really have different voices for the different characters. So if my mind wandered while listening, it was hard to determine who was talking. I do realize that with so many brothers and other male characters in the book, it would be almost impossible for all of them to have distinct "voices". I just thought I would make that known. It is a little different than many of the other books I have list8to in that respect. But he does do a good job with his reading quality.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the advanced listening copy of this book.
