An adorable and fun romance! I loved the characters and their relationship and appreciated that there was no third-act breakup. The snippets of the episodes were probably my favorite part and had me wishing I could watch the show in real life!

What a cute and fun book. I loved the opposites attract vibe! The conspiracies (thankfully) were harmless fun conspiracies to explore. The slow burn was done well, giving the right amount of tension. I liked that each character had some baggage that they helped each other overcome. Cute book and I look forward to more from this author.

Gave this one another try and loved it. Still very Buzzfeed-y, but Hayden was such an amazing male main character! Hallie was lovely and it was wonderful to see her take control of her own life. The writing is equal parts romantic and funny!

This cover is simply perfection and so is this story! It was pure fun! Take conspiracy theories, big foot and romance and mix it all together and you get this fun romance. I enjoyed this one!
Thank you #NetGalley and #berkely for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I love that; the whole vibe of this book was so fun, I love the x-file esc feel of this book. I love when a believer and a non-believer; I absolutely love the enemies to lovers. it is a fun silly, romantic adventure book that I could not get enough of.

I absolutely loved this book, it’s a top 10 of the year for me. The X Files vibes, the believer and non-believer, I loved it all. The characters were so fun and the romance was perfectly paced. I adored the scene of him caring for her when she was sick at his house. I can’t wait for book two!

I thought this story was super engaging because the writing style. It definitely it hardcore millennial lol I loved the banter between Hayden and Hallie and they definitely had plenty of chemistry.

What a delightful read!! I love that Hallie and Hayden could have been and would have been enemies-to-lovers in the hands of another author, but that Marlowe had them click so wonderfully from the beginning. While they are so different from one another, there is a respect between them that is so beautiful. I would have liked the resolution with Cade to have come a little sooner in the plot, if only so it wasn't the whole of the story, but other than that so so good

THE 411...
Web series producer Hallie Barrett has just been dumped by her co-worker who also happens to be the star of the online series she was producing. Even though Hallie is way better off without that guy (all the red flags), she's also stuck having to see him every day. This while also being tasked with coming up with a new series idea to present for the company competition or say goodbye to this beloved job she's worked very hard for. While searching for inspiration one late night, she stumbles across a docuseries where the handsome host is passionately covering the legend of Bigfoot. She doesn't believe in any of this stuff but she can't help but binge watch every single episode as she asks herself why she's dedicating so much time to what is clearly myth/legend. One lightbulb moment later and Hallie feels inspired to reach out to the Paranormal conspiracy theorist Hayden Hargrove. She hopes to convince him to turn his hit podcast into a web show. Hayden seems unsure he's the right guy with the presence needed to pull off a web show and he is absolutely right! the banter that easily is exchange between Hallie and Hayden while she challenges his claims with a dose of skepticism is missing, until she steps in to help him during his audition. Her producers LOVE the chemistry they're seeing play out between them! they see a viewership tuning in just for them and ask that they do the show together. While it isn't what she's expecting, as long as he's oK with it she's fair game to join while also producing.
THOUGHTS...
10/10 I recommend listening to the audiobook for the cool/nerdy alien space music played during snippets of the web show, so much fun! I had such a good time with this book and found myself binge reading it while prepping a big meal, laughing and smiling from start to finish. I loved how even though Hallie didn't believe in any of the Bigfoot and Mothman theories, she still respected how passionate Hayden was with his research and delivery. Hayden in turn sees all of Hallie's quirks as charming and gives off all the green flags she is not used to seeing in a love interest. The audiobook narrators SLAYED their performance making the chemistry that catches the eye of Hallie's producers MOST definitely felt in the audiobook, it's easy to get wrapped up in their romance. I've already Marlowe's next book Love At First Sighting to be released August 2025. If you're looking for a Romantic Comedy with paranormal elements, I HIGHLY recommend giving Love and Other Conspiracies a go 😉

This is not my first paranormal romance, but it did read like a debut which was okay. i just expected to feel more suspense. I wanted to feel like I was in ghostbusters and falling in love. The premise of this was perfect for me and spooky season! I loved searching for different myths and theories it was refreshing. I just would like more emotion than golden tickets and gaslighting. I look forward to what else the author has to offer. Thank you so much for this book, from the author, and Netgalley!

3*
I came in guns blazing to this book because I'm an absolute fan of cryptozoology and conspiracies of that ilk. I do wish that there had been a bit more of the conspiracy/cryptid hunting involved in the book to push the plot along and build Hallie and Hayden's relationship in a more unique or organic way.
I really enjoyed the character of Hayden, and it was nice to see an MMC with such maturity and grounding, especially against Hallie's insecurities.
Good for fans of X-Files.

Romance AND conspiracy theories? X-Files references abound? How could I not love this! Well, it's a pretty basic story, not enough tension or development, low spice, and I was literally screaming at the book for the lack of an HR presence for too much of it

Love and Other Conspiracies by Mallory Marlowe. I really enjoyed this book and the adventure aspect of it. Let's bring back silly adventure romance books!

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did an amazing job. I listened to the whole book even though I bought a physical copy.
Hayden and Hallie were lovely. This will be one of my favorite romances of the year. Great communication, thoughtfulness, mental health representation, grief, interesting content/setting (I'm now in love with conspiracy stories), and characters. And romance, the romance was swoon worthy!!

I really wanted to love this book because I LOVE conspiracy theories but this book felt flat when it came to the romance,

This was a delight, a really interesting concept. I loved Hayden & Hallie and how different they were but were both very respectful of each other's beliefs. Hayden was a total cinnamon roll and the scene where he took care of Hallie while she was sick had me melting!! The only thing I wished for was a bit more evidence of monsters and other mysteries. Overall, a super cute concept that made for a light, fun read!

One of my faves of 2024 for sure!!! Mallory Marlowe is a deeply funny writer, putting just as much emphasis on the "com" as the "rom" here. I adored both main characters instantly, and their chemistry was DELICIOUS. My X-Phile heart fell deeply in love and was enraptured til the last page. Amazing!

this book was pretty odd. I think this is more suited to an audiobook since this is a book about a podcast. This book has a lot of qualities that appeal to the whole romance genre as a whole right now, but I think it was hard for me to get past a white man on a podcast who fully believes in Bigfoot and Moth Man being… attractive? And not cringe in the slightest? But the other themes in this book really saved it and made it very enjoyable. This wouldn’t be a universal recommended book, but I have readers who would enjoy this.

Thank you, Netgalley, the author, and Berkley Publishing Group for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.
Read this book if you like: Dual pov, conspiracy theories, cinnamon roll MC, steamy 🔥
This was so freaking cute. I loved the concept of a conspiracy podcaster and a non-believer producer. It's a great light read. The MMC is so damn sweet. I highly recommend it!

This book is so much fun!! I love how the author really leans into the conspiracy theory/cryptids/legends element without going too far and having the MMC, Hayden, become off-putting and unrealistic. He's a level headed guy who is just fascinated by the 'unknown' and has a curiosity to explore it.
Hallie is a great counterpart to Hayden with her skepticism, but also a healthy dose of optimism that Hayden's passion will appeal to many as they work together to produce a show. They are opposites in many ways, but this works, and they balance each other out. The chemistry between them is fantastic, they challenge each other, respect one another, and care for one another.
A great debut from Mallory Marlowe and I'll definitely read more of her books!
Thanks to Berkley for an eARC; all opinions are my own.
