Elsie Silver does it again! Her small-town single-dad romance books always leave me head over paws in love. From the hilarious emails that had me howling with laughter to the swoon-worthy acts of service from Ford Grant, this book had me running circles around the room with joy. The love between Ford and Rosie proves that destiny always finds a way, especially with heart-melting diary entries and sentimental keychains. Despite my excitement for this series, I couldn't help feeling disappointed. The lack of chemistry between the characters left me feeling like I was chasing my tail, and the forced plot twists fell flat. But Ford and Rosie's banter and undeniable chemistry kept me wagging my tail throughout. I'm eagerly awaiting more single-dad stories from Elsie Silver, ready to curl up and devour them all.

“Because other people might not love you the way I do. Might not forgive you the way I will. You and I? We’re a team. I kind of think we always have been.”

Rosie and Ford. He’s opening up a new studio at his small town, and she’s back after losing her job. Ford didn’t expect Rosie to ask to work for him…or that he has a daughter.

The proximity, the banter and bickering, the hilarious emails that they’d write to each other were all so good!

I was really excited to read my first Elsie Silver book but this wasn't anything that I expected. The story was kind of bland and the characters weren't all that developed. There were some cute and funny moments, like the email exchanges, but there was a lot of back and forth and I just feel like it was another common romance story. There also wasn't much chemistry between Ford and Rosie so I wasn't very invested in their relationship. It would have been interesting to see Cora have a larger role too. Overall, this was alright but it wasn't anything memorable.

I was definitely expecting a bit more from this, but I’m chalking it up to the first book of any series being slightly weaker than the rest. Overall, Ford was a good character, I just don’t believe in ethical billionaires with a B.

Also the pen play was just a lot and I wasn’t feeling it

This was a fun romance book set in a small town, frenemies to lovers, precocious child, brothers best friend. Looking forward to more books set in this town.

Dare I say, Elsie's best book? Ford and Rosie are the perfect example of brother's best friend and I am here for it! I love their banter and their chemistry and their whole story is just amazing.

I happen to have a weakness for the friends-to-lovers trope so I sort of think I was predestined to love Rosie and Ford. I absolutely love the idea that he’s been in love with her his whole life and she’s always been attracted to him but now? She’s got eyes for no one else. Throw in a cold no one expected and watch my heart melt. Our gripe three sizes, I’m not quite sure which…

Thanks to Bloom Books/Sourcebooks for the galley. All opinions are my own.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved the small town billionaire, the frenemies to lovers, the slow burn to fiery hot, the single dad plotline. Loved it all. I really enjoyed the writing. All of the characters were well thought out and have potential for their own stories which is always a great way to start a series. I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

I love the small town worlds that Elsie Silver creates and so happy for this new series! I was excited to see that Forbes would be the MC in the first one because I really liked him in the other series. Excited to see where they take this next!

Elsie never fails at giving us an amazing small town romance! I loved the chemistry between Ford and Rosie, as well as their hilarious banter. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

At this point I believe that Elsie Silver is really just competing with herself when it comes to small town western romances and when it comes to single dads. I loved the frenemies turned lovers in this book, and the way that Elsie Silver was able to give the reader glances of the shared past between the two main characters was so much fun. The banter between these two was top tier, and the only reason this book is not 5 stars for me is because I think every Elsie Silver book I read will be compared to Reckless (WHICH IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE READS) I think this was an AMAZING start to the series and I cant wait to read more from Rose Hill!

I already had copies preordered and had to listen to the audiobook with Vanessa Edwin and Zachary Webber. Their duet narration was fantastic!⁣⁣

I loved Rosie and Ford! Rosie is Ford’s best friend’s little sister. She returns to town after an incident at work leads to wrongful termination. Ford can never say no to Rosie and offers her a job as his business manager. Ford has just been named World’s hottest billionaire and is in the process of building a record company and recording studio. I loved the addition of Cora and seeing how Rosie and Ford’s lives were affected by her and vice versa. There are a lot of hilarious emails that Rosie and Ford send back and forth. Ford is convinced he has to stay away even though she’s all he’s ever wanted. I loved them together. I really enjoyed Wild Love and can’t wait for the rest of the series!⁣⁣

Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

The spice in this book is incredible, considering it’s a small-town romance. I VERY quickly fell in love with our boy Ford Grant Junior. The banter.. The tension.. The romance.. I literally cannot stand how good this book was. The added bonus of him being a billionaire and taking in his surprise daughter was the cherry on top of a plot that I still would have eaten up without those things in it. Please go read it right now (or as soon as it comes out).

Rosie: Loved to see her take charge of her life and not be afraid to get what she wanted. Whether that be her deciding to stay in Rose Hill or her taking her relationship with Ford by the reins after they kissy kissed for the first time.

Ford: A simp at heart, but also a big time over thinker. I wouldn’t change a thing about him though if it meant I could have what Rosie had behind closed doors with him.

Some of my favorite moments and quotes:

F: “I’m careful with my money. I’m downright philanthropic. But this? This isn’t a game. I’m in love with you.”

F: “Here this, Rose. You are worth every penny. Every fortune. Every investment. Every risk. You are priceless to me.”

R: “You Fished that out of the paint?”
F: “Of course. I plan to wear it forever”

I really loved Ford & Rosie’s story, especially because the new daughter trope was handled so well and wasn’t chaotic or jealousy inducing. This was the perfect level of spice.
